36 Perhaps I’m a coward for sneaking out while Shay is dozing peacefully, adorably snoring with light puffs of air, but I know that I don’t have the strength to tell him goodbye. It’s tempting to stay here in his arms for a while longer, but that will only make it harder to leave. I have a real life to get back to, with job commitments and a mother who needs me nearby.
