Chapter 53

"Are you busy now?"

Avelyn looked up to see Hayden poking his head in her room. "Nope" She closed her book and put it on the table. "What's up?"

Hayden raised the bottle he had brought. "I have something. Would you like to join?"

"Okayy. Come! I'm too lazy to move now. Let's have it here."

Hayden pulled the nearby chair near the table. "Have something to eat?"

He grinned at Avelyn, and placed a plate of chips on the table. "Oh! Great!" She didn't hesitate to grab one and shove it in her mouth. "You like chips?"

"Yeah, it's too irresistible."

"Hmm."

Three glasses of Vodka made the way down their throats. "So, what do you want to do after your leg gets healed?"

"Well, I'll have to resume my position as the CEO."

"Ah yess... Um.. Shall I ask something?"

"Go ahead!".

"It's something I have wondered for some time now. You don't have to answer if it's too personal."

"Hmm."

"Have you ever had a relationship with someone? I mean, something romantic?"

Avelyn nodded, twice. "Yes, I have. They didn't turn up too well."
