A night to remember
Today is my graduation, I somehow managed to scale through university on my own, I only had my Dad, but he was too unwell to work so I had to step up, even though it helped that I was completely nerd to the core, always had my head buried in a book and working different part-time jobs:
I made two special friends in university, Martha and Cindy, we were inseparable throughout uni.
We lived in the same dormitory too.
“Hey, babes! I heard a new club opened down the road!!!,” Cindysquealedwithexcitement.
“Really? This is perfect news we can finally blow off some steam after all the stress of uni and stuff,” Martha chimmed in but Unlike them, iwasn'treallythrilledaboutit.
“Arielle, what’s up? Are you coming?” Cindy raised an eyebrow
“Of course not, you know how Arielle is,” Martha teased and rolled her eyes. I gave a weak smile ”I’m sorry guys, not interested,”
“You will be,” Cindysaidwithdetermination. “because no matter what we getting you out of this dorm and your shabby-looking pajamas tonight!!!!,”
“I second that.” Martha jumped to her feet, clapping her hands.
I bit my lips“I dont know about this guy......”
Before I could protest further, I found myself standing in a place I never thought I'd be - Club Lux. I didn't even have anything to wear, so Cindy made me slip into one of her dresses, a red mid-length gown that clung to my body in ways I wasn't used to. I felt exposed and uncomfortable.
“You need to take off these glasses,” Martha teased, grabbing them my glass off.
The night blurred after that, I had some shots more than I planned after dancing for a while until my leg started to ache.
For a moment, I let myself forget. But eventually, the heat and noise became too much, so I slipped outside to catch my breath.
That's when I bumped into him- a tall figure with solid muscles wrapped in a designer suit the exit. I looked up blinking, I saw the most handsome guy I'd seen in my life.
“Youneedtowatchwhereyouaregoing, young miss,” Hecurvedintoasmile
"Maybe you need to watch where you're going," I shot back, folding my arms. My heart was pounding, but I wasn't going to let him see that.
"Feisty, I see," he smirked, his dark eyes glittering with amusement. "And arrogant, I see too," I muttered. I wasn't backing down, not tonight.
He let out a low chuckle, the kind that sent shivers down my spine. "Okay, let's start this over. My name's Antony," he said, extending his hand.
I glanced at it but I wasn't moved“What if I dont want to introduce myself.”
He leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a playful whisper “ That would be a shame then, wouldn't it.”
After some reluctance, I took his hand. The spark between us was electric, the heat of his skin against mine making it hard to breathe and concentrate.
One drink turned into two, more and more. Conversation flowed easily, with banters and teasing that left me feeling breath taken. His touch was lightening, grazing my arm as he leaned closer, and before I knew it, we were back on the dance floor, our bodies pressed close, and the world around us faded into nothing.
"You're different, Arielle," Antony whispered against my ear, his breath hot against my skin.
I shivered. "Different how?"
"Different in all the ways that matter." His lips brushed my neck a little, sending a thrill through me that I couldn't ignore at all.
I should have stepped back. I should have said no and ended things over there. But the heat between us was undeniable. I want this. I wanted him.
When he pulled me outside of the club, leading me down a quieter street, I didn't resist or reject it. The night air was cool against my skin, but all I could think about and see clearly was Antony.
We ended up in a hotel room, the door clicking shut behind us. The tension that had been building all night finally cracked as he pulled me into him, his mouth taking mine in a kiss that sent a blaze through my veins.
The rest was a blur of skin, sensation, and passion.
His hands were everywhere my hips, my back, my thighs- as he guided me toward the bed. Every touch, every kiss, sent sparks through me, and soon enough, the rest of the world disappeared completely.
It had been weeks since that night at Club Lux, I ran out of the hotel room the next morning, I couldn't believe I lost my virginity to a complete stranger, I wasn't ready to face him that morning so I ran. I hadn't planned on seeing Antony again; in fact, I wasn't even sure I'd ever cross paths with him. That night felt like a blur-a wild, unexpected encounter that I was sure I wanted to leave behind.
I had been feeling off for some few days
tired, nauseous, just not myself. I dismissed it at first, thinking it was just the stress of graduation and trying to figure out my next steps in life. But when the nausea didn't go away, and the dates started to line up in my head, then cold realization dawned on me.
No. It couldn't be.
I hurried up and went to the pharmacy alone, my heart pounding as I bought the test. I tried to act normal and cool, but my hands were shaking as I paid for it. When I got back to my dorm, I locked the door and sat there, staring at the little packet, terrified of what it might confirm or not.
I finally took the test, and when the results appeared I could see two red lines, I felt my heart stop completely.
I was Pregnant for Antony!!!!
I didn't know how long I sat there, staring at the test kit in my hands, my mind blank. How had this happened? I wasn't ready for this. I didn't even know Antony that well-he was just a guy I had met once, someone I never expected to see again.
