Daddy's Kitten

It was a Saturday Morning when Jungkook woke up to the sound of scratching at his door. He got up slowly, confused and stumbled towards the hall. The scratching stopped when he got closer, he waited a few seconds before finding the kitchen thinking nothing of it. Just as he got closer to the kitchen, he heard a cry. He head shot up and looked at the door. He walked to the door and opened it. Looking down seeing a cat, it was a hybrid. "Hello..?" Jungkook said confused, "h-hi, c-can you h-help me..?" The little kitten said frightened, Jungkook examined the kitten while nodding moving to the side letting the boy in. As the boy limped past him, Jungkook noticed the patches of blood around the boys head close to his ears and noticed the tear-stained cheeks. Jungkook followed the kitten from behind, watching, watching carefully as he limped towards the living space unsure if he could sit or not. 'Cute..' Jungkook thought, but then tried to shake that thought out of his head, "what happened to your head?" Jungkook asked concerned. "U-uhm.." the innocent kitten began, "I-I was chased by two bad men.." the little one said, fighting back tears threatening to spill. Jungkook was shocked so he excused himself to get a first aid kit, treating the kittens' wounds were his top priority. He came back moments later to see the kitten curled up on the large sofa, it made him look more petit. Jungkook carefully manoeuvred around the kitten to not disturb him, "who are these bad men?" the kitten looked up slightly trembling, "what did they do..?" the kitten looked to be contemplating until he sighed seemingly out of sadness and fear. "I-I came back to the shelter late and b-because we're not a-allowed to leave, the bad man h-hit me.." he finished as a tear trickled down his angelic face, he started trembling even more as the memory plays over and over in his mind, the look of the mans face as he smiles grimly and laughs in amusement, Taehyungs pleas for help, for him to stop. Jungkook pulled the boy into his embrace, rocking back and forth hushing him and whispering calm words to prevent the boy from having an anxiety attack. "You're okay... You're okay... they can't get you now... shh... you're fine..." The boy eventually calmed down and smiled at Jungkook, "T-Thank you..?" he turned his head in confusion as they had yet to introduce themselves, "ah! Jungkook, I'm Jeon Jungkook" he smiled fondly at the boy and reached out his hand, "I'm Taehyung" he gave a large boxy smile to the older, Jungkook felt his heart warm up and smiled, it was contagious. Jungkook reached for the medical kit and took out some ointments and cotton balls, he poured the ointment on the cotton ball, "this may sting a little okay?" Taehyung nodded and closed his eyes in anticipation, awaiting the pain to come. The cotton ball made contact and Taehyung hissed causing Jungkook to pull away, "keep going, I'm fine" he grinned, Jungkook nodded and carried on until his wounds were patched up. Jungkook packed away the medical kit and sat back down, "Anyways, what do we do now?" Taehyung asked Jungkook looked down, "Do you have anywhere to go?" Taehyung shook his head, "only the shelter" Jungkook nodded, "you're definitely not going back there" Taehyung looked down until he had a thought. "You can adopt me!" He jumped. Jungkook jumped and looked at the excited boy who was grinning from ear to ear, "I don't know, can I do that?" Taehyung nodded like a child, Jungkook held his head to stop him from nodding, "Calm down or you'll lose your head" they giggled. "Fine, I'll adopt you or let you live here I don't know how this works" he rubbed his nape in embarrassment. Taehyung giggled, "It'll be finee" he dragged out, "I'll teach you everything you need to know!" he clapped his hands in excitement. Taehyung got up and started doing a silly dance, "calm down or you'll hurt your head" Jungkook laughed, "Have you eaten?" Taehyung shook his head. "To the market, I go then" Taehyung humphed, "What about me" he pouted. "You, stay" Taehyung sat down and looked up at the older saddened, "Okay..." Jungkook looked at the boy with a 'are you serious' face before sighing, "Fine, you can come too" Taehyung hopped up and ran out of the room, "I'm stealing your clothes!" Jungkook laughed and followed. And this was their beginning.
