Chapter 9: Never Be Forgotten

280 Words
Everything went so fast. It has been a week since Dad’s burial. It was one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. Everyone cried and gave their sympathy to our family. Mom gave a eulogy that made everyone wipe their tears. Dad was a kind man and he was well-loved. Rest assured that Dad will never be forgotten. I always wake up in the middle of the night because of a bad dream. It all started when Dad died and since then I haven’t had a good night's sleep. Who can, right? It’s my first time to experience losing someone important and it’s not a joke, it cuts through you. The pain would sometimes make you question your existence but then again, you are alive for a reason and that is what you need to find out. When Dad died, he took a part of me that I could never take back. Dad will always have me and I’ll always have him in my heart. My school called my attention a couple of times already and I am set to return to my university three days from now. No matter how much I wanted to stay, I can’t just ignore my life and I know that would Dad want me to do. Even though he’s gone now, I would still do my best and make him proud of her princess. I just needed to go back and finished what I started there. There are just some papers that I needed to pass to graduate. I’ll just get it done and come back here as soon as possible. For now, I’ll just have to deal with a few things here.
