And although I was hearing him, his words weren’t registering in my head, was I suppose to feel bad for the guy? Was this a way to justify his actions? Even if I wanted to feel anything I couldn’t, I was just numb.

His step dad r***d and abused him until Xenon was 12, after that Xenon ran away, I was his childhood friend and I knew what was happening because I saw it with my own eyes several times. I couldn’t do anything because even if I mentioned it, Xenon would lose his mind, ashamed of what was happening to him, he made me swear to never speak of it again and I promised him that I wouldn’t and I kept my promise, until now.”
