Shaun pulled into Ellie’s driveway and put the truck in park. Her twin was already there, sitting on her front steps and waiting. It still amazed him that Ellie had a twin. Looking at them, they appeared so different, yet he could also see the similarities beneath the cosmetics and styles.
“You’re not going to skip town on me again, are you?” Ellie asked.
He glanced at her and cracked a smile. “I won’t make that mistake twice.”
“Good, so if I show up at your place with pizza later, you’ll actually be there?”
“You can bet on it.”
