CHAPTER 6 Office Affairs.

That evening, Ada called Nancy and asked anxiously,

"Sister, is that really Jessica?"

Nancy was still pissed with the events of earlier on and this is what she ended up saying.

"Stop asking me stupid questions, you follow Robert every day, please don't tell me and you don't know anything. Did you even have a chat with him about what happened?

" Come on my dear sister, don't be angry," Ada bowes her head guiltily.

She was afraid of telling her sister the truth that Robert barely touches her. It will break her heart. She was afraid of losing Robert but that goodness he knows nothing about Jessica to mean that she still has a chance to make him fall for her.

" Madam, your husband is back," The housekeeper comes to tell Nancy. James had left for the weekend but now he is back.

Nancy quickly got to her foot and went to welcome back her husband.Before she left, she warned Ada against telling him about the events at the diner.

" Hi my love, how was your trip," Nancy greeted him as she helped him hold his coat.

"I am fine my dear, how was today's birthday party for our son?" James couldn't help but ask.

"Well, it went well." Nancy has a sweet smile on her face.

"I'm tired. If there is anything, let's talk about it tomorrow." James said dismissively before walking away.

Watching James go upstairs, Nancy's eyes flashed a glimmer of edge. Now that Jessica is back, she needs to take care of something. She doesn't have much time .

Jessica had just arrived at the company and was called to the office by the design manager before she could eat the steamed buns she bought in the morning.

As soon as he entered the door, Elizabeth, the design manager, slammed a document on the desk, then pointed to Jessica and said, "Jessica, right? You are a newcomer, right?Who told you to change the design draft?!" She shouted at her and Jessica was puzzled.

"You gave me the document and didn't tell me what to do. I thought you asked me to correct its shortcomings." Jessica finally managed to speak.

"Are you trying to say that it is my fault?!" Elizabeth was even more furious and shouted sharply at her, "Jessica! Do you think that you are smarter than all of us? Who do you think you are?! That was the result of our design team's hard work for several months and you cannot change it into the rubbish work that I am looking at right now," Elizabeth shouted.

" You should be fired! We do not need you in this company," Elizabeth said as she stared angrily at her, her face flushed. Jessica frowned. As a designer, she was told that her modified works were rubbish, which was an insult to her.

Moreover, if she is driven out of the company with such allegations, most other companies will not want her again.

Jessica thought, and when she caught Elizabeth's eye, she said faintly, "When the new employee comes to replace me, don't ask, just throw me a pile of artwork documents. I revised the deficiencies of the design draft, but it was still my fault."

Elizabeth was speechless. Of course she was not willing to admit that Jessica's designs were better than hers because that would mean that she would take over her position. Her being on the company will make her get fired. That is why she did not want her in the company at all.

" Shut up! What you should know is that you have to pay for what you did!" Elizabeth shouted.

"What's going on?" Suddenly at this moment, the man's warm voice sounded, interrupting the tense moment.

When Elizabeth saw the man coming, he was honest instantly, and cried softly, "Vincent, look, our design department's efforts for half a year have been wasted!"

As she said that she gave the papers to Vincent.
