What would you do if the undead came unannounced? That was the case for Robeen and her classmates. They were in school. Not prepared. Not ready. This is definitely something they were not expecting to end their school year with.

S1Ep1 : b e g i n n i n g
Episode 1 I thought it was just a regular day, but later on, I knew that this day is the beginning that will change every day we had in our lives. ——- It is indeed another school day, it was cloudy and less traffic than it usually is since the commute to school took 5 minutes, it usually takes 10 but hey, who am I to complain? At least I’m not late, again. 6 AM. Numerous morning sched students entering the main gate can be seen. Entering the gate, I notice the school guard, Eddie, and I shot him a short wave in which he returned a nod. There’s a second gate, smaller than the main. I notice a close friend of mine, Pollyanna but I call her Yanna, is nearby. I decide to approach her so we can proceed to class together then but a rather forceful bump onto me like it was on purpose halts me from doing so. “Hey! Watch it.” I call out to him, garnering the attention of some who are just walking by. The dude looks back at me. “So what, Robeen Hood? Gonna fight me too?” oh there’s mocking in his tone, alright. I really am ready to fight this dude. Suddenly, another guy, probably his classmate, is pulling him. The dude just scowled at me. I mouthed him a “f**k off”. I don’t even know him. Yanna doesn’t really stop me from those kinds of fights but she doesn’t encourage me either. She just respects my choice. Oh well, Yanna and I continue to make our way to class. Joining our classmates who are present in the classroom Our homeroom is in the near end of the Second Floor in a Four-storey school building which is on the right side of the school grounds. In front of our building is a Two-storey for the 1st graders, on its left is a single-storey for the Preschoolers, on its right is a Three-storey building for the 2nd and 5th graders then the one facing the gate is another Three-storey for the 3rd and 4th graders. Now, our building consists of mainly 6th graders and the offices of the staff or teachers. Our first subject teacher is taking a while but no one really cares. We’re just having fun and all. Some boys are goofing around, some are playing games, and some are chit-chatting. Free time is great. ----- Second subject teacher should be here now. The others classrooms have their homeroom teacher. Catherine, our class president, just told us to minimize our voice since the other classrooms are quiet. A teacher is probably lecturing. ----- Pretty sure it’s recess now but the other classes seems like they ain’t taking a break. Everyone’s busy doing their thing. Catherine’s busy too, probably why she wasn’t able to notice Joshua, Rio and I sneaking out of the room. The place is awfully quiet and both the rooms beside ours have their doors locked and windows shut. Pretty sure there are people inside. The doors are like gates and the windows are Jalousie windows so you can see through inside. They are discussing something important so we just continue conversing while on our way downstairs. Now in the gate of our building that’s supposed to be open, it’s locked too. We notice the same with the other buildings and even the main gate of the school. Robeen: What's up today, why do they have to lock everything? Joshua: Maybe some visitors are coming? Robeen: How can visitors come with a locked gate? Rio: Easy. They'll fly Robeen: Don't joke with me, Rio Joshua: What? Don't you like his imagination? He laughed Shrugging off his comment, we wait... 30 minutes have passed and still no one is coming. A teacher signaled us to go back to our rooms then she returned to her office. At this point, I have this feeling that something weird is going on, or not really. After all, not everything I thought I knew in life was real. But no one’s in the court, usually, it would be covered by students having their break time but today, no one’s around. Robeen: It’s awfully quiet, don’t you think? Joshua: I haven’t seen any vehicle or someone pass by outside. After a while, Catherine came to fetch us, also noticing the locked gates. Catherine: Our adviser wants us all in the classroom. He said he'll announce something. Joshua: Okay, we're coming. Arriving at our classroom, our homeroom teacher or adviser is already there in front of the class. Robeen: Sir, why are the gates locked? Adviser: Take your seat, Robeen. I'll explain it to all of you. He sighed ——- Adviser: All the gates in our school were locked, other classes are keeping themselves quiet and we have to close our doors and windows he stopped to stare at all of us like he’s expecting something Adviser: Now. And with that, we start to move our asses off. Robeen: Can I just ask. Is there something wrong happening today? I mean like, we don't just do these in regular days. Adviser: Nothing is wrong, Robeen. Just do what I told you and your classmates to do. Catherine: She's right. Sir, what's going on? Patricia: If there's something wrong today, I gotta leave this school. Adviser: Okay, fine. The principal called us teachers, told us to close the windows and lock the doors 'cause something terrifying that may scare all of you is happening. Scare us? Why would he say something like that. Ian: You said scare all of us so you're saying that... Steven: Terrorists? Margareth: A killer on the loose? Cedrick: How about an alien invasion, hm? We laugh at his idea. Allaiza: Ridiculous, How about an apocalypse or something? Robeen: A zombie apocalypse? Pollyanna: All those horror stuff are consuming you, huh? She replied to me Basically, most of us love horror stuffs so that's why it came to my mind. But our adviser looks stiff the whole time. Adviser: Yeah, I think that's the thing. Everyone in the classroom gasps. We just look at him, some in disbelief and some in wide eyes. I mean why would he joke something like that? That doesn’t happen in the real world. Catherine: Sir, you're kidding, right? Our adviser shook his head. You can hear muttering all over the room. Some are in doubt. Vincent: But why haven't they announced it in the news? Joshua: Maybe they don't want the people to get worried much. Chryzalyn: Or freak out, you know. Robeen: Maybe it was sudden. Catherine: Okay, let's just close the doors and windows. I can see that she’s scared too but trying to remain calm. That’s actually good. Ian: How 'bout we put some chairs into the doors and windows? Eliza: What? Like a barricade or something? Patricia: That's what he meant so let's just put some. Adviser: Just don’t make too much noise. We’re putting the chairs by the window while our Adviser is locking the door. This is dumb and I’m still wondering why I’m doing this but the rest of my friends are doing the same so why not do dumb s**t together. The siren of an ambulance and a police caught our attention. Some are obviously internally freaking out. I can hear noises from outside the school grounds. Screaming, banging and running— it was chaos. ——- So here we are, in our classroom doing nothing. Some of my classmates are scared shitless, some are shaking, we still hear the noises they're making getting louder and louder. Half an hour passed. I’m currently seated on the floor with my group. Chatting, trying to calm myself. The sound of a kid screaming for help caught our attention. It’s coming from the court. I notice that we’re all in shock. Because how was he able to get there? All the gates are locked. I stood up, nearing the barricade then a hand gripped on my wrist. Catherine: Don’t. I stare at her hand. I can feel it shaking so I sit back down. After a few minutes, the kid stopped screaming but after seconds, a loud bang caught us off guard. Margareth: Did you hear that?! I think that was the front gate. Tricia: Impossible. Pollyanna: There must be hundreds of them in there. Patricia: This is real, right? While everyone was busy freaking out, I inch myself closer to the barricade. Robeen: Someone’s running. Our Adviser was able to hear what I said then shushed everyone. The steps are rather light compare to the heavy ones that follows. Then realization hit me. Robeen: It’s the kid. Right when I said that, the kid passed our room, the third room. Then stopped at the end, in front of the fourth room and was followed by…by… Zombies?!? The kid is cornered by them. The chairs are covering the view but you can still see through. I’m frozen in my place. I can’t f*****g move. This is reality, right? I’m awake. I know I am. I manage to move my head. The rest of the class is on the other side. Some are already crying, some are visibly horrified and some had their heads down. We can hear them, the zombies, devouring that poor kid. I look outside as I make my way back to the others. Flesh tearing, guts spilling and blood gushing out that looks so real. I guess I wasn’t the only one looking. Our classmate, Nikki, like in any film, screamed. It was at that moment, I realized... Robeen: We’re f****d. The zombies heard her. They turn to our room, 2 of them on the second door while the other one keeps on slamming on the windows until he reaches the first door. Their hand went through the door causing some of the chairs to fall. Cedrick: This is not good everyone. Oh no oh no Dude is freaking out. Margareth: What do we do? Rio: Why we? Robeen: We have to stab them, right in the head. Blooming: What?!? Are you serious? Robeen: The hell, I am. Joshua: Are you sure that'll work? Robeen: No. But guess we'll try. Allaiza: You talk as if you'll do it. Robeen: Oh, I will. There was pride in my tone but I realized what I said But I need someone to help me with the other one. Catherine: Help you? So you’re volunteering to… kill? Chryzalyn: It’s not exactly killing if they’re already dead. Robeen: If that’s the case then I volunteer as tribute. Joshua: I don’t think this is the right time to be quoting The Hunger Games, Robeen. Robeen: f**k off, man. I just look at each of them. Waiting for someone to--- Margareth: I'll do it ----- I hand Margareth my sewing shears we used in sewing class. I grab the sheath placed at the bottom of my bag containing a combat knife that I bring in case of emergency. But I wasn’t expecting to use it in an event like this. Joshua: Are you sure about this? Robeen: Look at them. They’re not human. I quietly step into a chair positioned beside the door. Margareth does the same for the other door. I didn’t think twice. I wasn’t able to. I ram the knife into its head. The skull, I stab through it… again… and again… and again. It stops moving. I forcefully pull back to retrieve my knife. Just then, the other one grabs me. I hear some of my classmates scream. Adrenaline rushed through me as I thrust the knife deep onto its head. Splattering me with its’ nasty red fluid . Breathing heavily, I turn back to everyone. The way they look at me with alarm is the same as that time. I hear the fourth room opening with its students rushing out the room, their fate unknown but those screams surely came from some of them. Yanna hands me a tissue for wiping off the blood. Robeen: You know we can't stay here forever. Joshua: Well, f**k it, Robeen. The front gate just broke, there had got to be hundreds of them in there. Robeen: Why, asshole?! Are you gonna piss yourself?! Cedrick: Guys, we're in a situation. We don't have to fight. Eliza: She's right, we can't stay here forever. Steven: But he's right, there had got to be hundreds of them. Patricia: oh, so you wanna stay here? Christian: But how are we gonna leave? We don't even have enough stuff to, you know… kill them with. Suddenly, Rio starts walking with a proud face. Rio: The kitchen. For sure there are some knives in there. Ayen: Yeah, I remember. Allaiza: Let's go get'em. Steven: It won’t be easy. Vincent: And if we're going there, we have to be many. Joshua: Fine then everyone in this conversation is leaving. Then they all faced me. Robeen: Ask anyone if they want to come with us and leave... and we won't be back. "to be continued"
