I hated leaving Madelyn when she was vulnerable, but I knew Koda would die to protect her.
Knox on the other hand, was worried because he thought Madelyn would try and seduce Koda again and the weakling would give in to her advances, but I assured him, he wouldn't.
Knox ran through the darkened streets, lit up only by the lights along the road and the dim reflections coming off the buildings, but thankfully, Lycan's had great vision at night and everything just looked like a darker version of its daylight counterparts.
We made quick time getting back to the tavern, which had been roped off and some guards were still searching the place for drugs.
Once back at the location, I followed the scents of the guards who'd chased after the invisible person.
