Chapter 1 : Midnight encounters
Nina Evan's pov-
Icy fingers gripped my waist. I couldn’t breathe. The room was freezing, and the large hand behind me tightened, harder and harder. Heat rushed through my thighs , my body trembled with fear. Oh my word ! someone is in this room, and whoever it is, has a perfectly huge body.
“Hello, little one.”
Help. Help! I tried to scream, but the words wouldn’t come out. I yelled over and over, yet nothing escaped my throat. The room grew darker, and suddenly a large, shadowy figure loomed around me. He released his grip. One thing was certain this was a man.
My mind caught on his words 'little one'. Me? No way. I scanned the room, trying to decide whether I was dreaming.
I wanted to ask who the hell he was. Strangely, now that he wasn’t holding me, I wasn’t scared anymore. I gathered my courage and stepped forward carefully, making sure not to knock into anything and hurt my toes.
Suddenly, light poured in through the window. The room became dangerously bright. This was my chance to see who the figure belonged to.
That’s when I saw him.
Tal, imposing ,piercing blue eyes that seemed to bore into my soul. A black suit, broad shoulders, and a smirk playing on his lips. He leaned against the wall while I stood frozen on the cold floor. He lifted his hand to his mouth to what looks like a cigarette burned between his fingers.
“Little one,” he drawled. His voice was smooth, icy silk, and I felt it ripple through my body.
I tried to speak again, but my voice was gone. All I could do was watch. The room swirled, and when it stopped, I was standing directly in front of him ,suddenly only inches away.
“Who are you?” I managed.
He chuckled, the sound sending shivers down my spine. He leaned closer and inhaled the scent of my hair. That’s strange.
“I’m the one who’ll haunt your dreams, little miss. And you are… intriguing.”
I snapped awake, heart racing. Morning light filled the room, yet a lingering presence clung to me. The dream had felt too real, leaving an odd sense almost as if someone had been there.
Who was he?
And why did I like his presence?...
