Chapter 4: Bullies

Tiya Jesse cannot float things, but I can. How is it possible?
I tried sleeping that night, but I couldn’t. I keep thinking about what happened. Questions keep coming to me. Like, how can I do it, but Tiya Jesse couldn’t? She just laughs at me when I ask her about it. And you know what makes me crazier right now? I couldn’t see Kikay. She never comes home after our encounter. I don’t know where she is because we are always together. Kikay never left my side, even though I am always mad at her.
It's the first time she did this. I am worried now.
After I helped Tiya Jesse in the balut, I fixed myself for school. Kikay is still not home. It's kind of quiet if she is not here. Even though she always makes my blood boil, I am used to her presence.
I am now making my step on the stairs to go to our room. As usual, students are still coming, and they are staring at me again. They always do this, and I am used to it. But I don't know; there is something in the way they look at me now. I shrug and make my way. I was about to enter our room when some of my classmates covered the door. They are glaring at me.
I frowned at them. “Let me through,” I said, but my classmates didn't make a move. I just rolled my eyes and tried to enter the other, but some of my classmates rushed there and covered it again.
What the hell?
“What are you doing?” I asked them agitatedly.
“You can't enter here,” said one of my classmates; she's petite and tall. Her eyeliner is so dark, and her lips are as bright as blood. Is this acceptable in our school?
My eyebrow arched when I heard what she said. I enrolled in this school. What is she saying?
“Move,” I said dangerously.
My classmates look at me nervously, which makes me more confused. What's up with them?
“You're a witch! You cannot enter here!” one of my classmates from the back. I cannot see him because they are covering him too.
“What?" My eyes widened. I was about to repeat a word, but it stopped me when someone put a bag in my head. I almost choke because he ties the bag in my neck. Then I felt someone carry me like a sack of rice. “What are you doing?! Let me go!” I shouted and tried to punch his hardback, but he didn't even make a move.
“You will regret it you hurt me yesterday,” said a girl that I couldn't see. Then she grabs my hair and puts something in my nose.
I tried to let go, but I smelled a powerful scent that made my head hurt. My eyes got heavy, and I passed out.
After a few moments, my consciousness comes back. My head feels like someone is thumping it. When I tried to open my eyes, I couldn't see anything. I tried to move my body, but I couldn't do anything. Where am I? What happened?
“Oh, the witch is awake, Sofie!”
I stopped moving when I heard a voice. After a few seconds, someone removed my blindfold. I blink my eyes and try to clear my vision. I saw five figures in front of me and looking directly at me with a smirk on their faces. I knew them; the three girls are my classmates, but I don’t know who is the two boys. They are not wearing the same uniforms we have.
“Well, well, you’re awake. Witch,” said the girl named Sofie; she is my classmate who floated at the air yesterday.
I tried to ask what they want, but there is a piece of clothes covering my mouth, that is why I only mumbled.
Sofie’s eyes narrowed when I tried to move. “Why? What will you do again, huh?” She moves forward. I painfully moaned when she grabs the top of my hair. “You dare to touch our King, and you dare to hurt me?! Who do you think you are?!” she shouted at my face.
I just glared at her. Why does she keep on blaming me?! I did nothing wrong to her! I tried to shout at her too, but I could only mumble it.
“Let her talk, Sofie,” said the tallest boy. I cringed when I saw him scanning my body. His hair is above his shoulder.
Sofie rolled her eyes and pulled the small cloth covering my mouth.
“What do you want?! Let me go!” I shouted immediately when my mouth is free. “You’re hurting me! Ahh!” I feel like she almost removed my hair from my scalp. “Stop!”
Sofie just laughs and tightens her grips from my hair; that is why I shouted more in pain. “I should educate you for being stubborn!” Sofie’s eyes widened as she slaps my face. I felt like my brain shakes because of the impact of her slap.
“Whoa! Be careful, Sofie. She might cry!” said the other boy who looks like the younger version of Vin Diesel. He is bald and has a muscular body but has a small height.
“Urgh, shut up, Ruel!” said the girl that has long and curly hair. She is one of Sofie’s group. “We knew you are just waiting to… seriously?” She looks at me from head to toe. “You want to bed this witch?” Then look at my face again, disgusted.
My eyes widened when I heard what she said. I felt like they threw cold water on my body, and I shivered. He will do what? I felt alarmed because of what I heard. Are they serious?!
“Why, Maddy?” Ruel stands up and walks to Maddy. “I can start with you if you wanted?” he said using his husky voice.
“Stop!” Sofie said. I moaned again because her grips are still the same. “Now, let’s start you, evil witch!” She looks at me again while her eyes widened.
“Ahh! Stop it!” I shouted in pain. “I did nothing to you! Why are you doing this?!”
Sofie smirked. “Let me remind you again about what you did,” she said. “You are a witch. And that means you are a pest in this place! You almost killed me!”
“W-What? Ahh! I didn’t do it! What are you saying?!” I said. My breathing becomes hard. I could taste my sweat that is flowing from my forehead to my cheeks. “I did nothing to you! Stop this!”
“Shut up! Why deny it?! We will stop you before you do anything bad again to us, especially to our King!”
“Stop it…”
I grew up everyone is criticizing me because I can see things they cannot see. No one wanted to befriend me because of that. But it is not my fault! And I am sure it’s not me who did it. Tiya Jesse can’t do it, so I am one hundred percent sure that it is not me! I just want to have a normal life, friends like my other peers have. Why should I suffer because of things I cannot understand?
“You’re a witch, and you shouldn’t be here!” Sofie shouted again and slapped me hard.
I didn’t move. Sofie touches my cheeks and looks directly into my eyes, but she frowned.
“W-What the hell?” Sofie moves her face at me without removing her gaze at my eyes. I just looked at her, too, and didn’t make a sound. “Y-You… why my reflection is upside down from your eyes?” she said confusedly.
“O.M.G.! Get away from her, Sofie!” the last girl shouted. “She is a real witch!”
