The next day Javi and I left the house and headed over to the Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39 area. Being native to the city I avoided this area as much as I could. But with someone who has never been to the city before, playing tourist can be kind of fun. At Pier 39 we walked around and looked at all the shops, walked out towards the water and saw the views of Alcatraz and both the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge. Then we walked past where the seals hang out by the boats. I was thankful when Javi declined to take a ride on the cable car because the lines are always so long no matter how early you arrive.
