Prologue
Have you ever wondered about the idea that immortality exists? That's something that Hayden always wondered about... Hayden was a first-year student in high school and had a pretty stereotypical life. No friends at his school, but he had friends at his past school that he kept in touch with. He doesn't get bullied here, and he has good enough grades. He lives by himself in his apartment. He turned sixteen a while ago, so he decided to leave the nest a bit early. He had pale skin, black mid-length hair that he always wore in a high ponytail, and he had a thin but toned body. And he was just a normal high-school student. On the other hand, someone was watching him. Always fascinated by his every move. Ambros, an immortal himself, was always watching him. He watched him day in and day out. He was classified as a dark being, but only because of his magic. His mother was a dark sorceress who had betrayed her kind long ago. Although he wasn't shunned because of his heritage, he was still able to use dark magic. He had dark skin and sleek white hair that went down to his knees. He was always watching Hayden's every move. Why? Because he's in love with him, of course, he watches, hoping that a gate will open so that he can step into the world of humans. And he was in luck because he was chosen to be the one to descend into the human plain and live there as a normal person. This was a tradition held every thousand years. They needed to be sure that there was some kind of immortal blood in the human realm, or it would collapse. He needed to descend into the human realm, reproduce, and live happily like any other human. He would come back when another took his place. If he finds someone that is willing to leave everything behind and stay with him for eternity, then that person is able to become immortal with him and spend the rest of eternity together unbothered by the rest of the world. Ambros gets up, and he gets ready for his descent into the human plain.
