Getting To Know Her

Delan's POV continues *********** "Hey, where have you been?" I hear my mom's voice as I walked into the house. "I took a walk...what's going on?" I asked her with a confused look on my face. "Oh alright, your dinner is on the table" she said heading upstairs to her room. You could say I'm one of those kids who can go wherever whenever I please, not that my mom didn't care about what I do but because she was always busy with work. I don't get much time with her but I don't mind it, I kind of like it this way. Walking into the kitchen, I got myself a drink from the fridge and took a mouth full of my pizza...yeah that's what mom called dinner...I guess she's too busy to cook today, it's alright though I didn't mind. Taking the last bite of my pizza I headed for the stairs skipping a stair with every step I took  walking to my room. Closing the door behind me, I kicked my shoes off heading for my bed but froze in my steps remembering I needed to take a shower first. Sighed, taking off my clothes throwing them on the floor I head for the shower and then the thought of her came in my mind. "Damn couldn't have been a better timing" I rolled my eyes talking to myself. I couldn't get her generous face out of my head, the way her hair falls perfectly over her shoulders when ever she didn't have it tied up in a ponytail...god knows how much I wanted to reach out and caress her face and that body of hers, her light brown smooth skin that seems flawless from what little I could see, she's always hiding her body behind those jeans and sweat pants but that couldn't hide those curves instead it shows them more than she thinks. I see beautiful girls all the time, I can even get any one of my choice but yet here I am standing in the shower thinking about a girl that not even once looked in my direction, I mean every girl at school notice me...eyes are always on me, even her bestfriend attracts attention without even trying. Stepping out of the shower, I dried my hair and body then jumped into bed not bothering to put clothes on. I'm pretty tired from all that walking not to mention a whole day of doing exams...I don't think I've ever walked that long before, I should have used my bike...but then it would be unfair to her. Closing my eyes I let my thoughts take over as I drift off into sleep. ****************** Waking up to my mom's yelling for me to get up for school I growled pulling my pillow over my head but knowing her, she won't stop until she gets a response. "I'm up!" I shouted with annoyance in my voice. "Good, you better hurry or your gonna be late...again!" she shouted back. "I'm fine with that" I murmured to myself lazily getting up and head for the shower. Deciding to wear a white sweat suit with white sneakers I grabbed my bag pack and went downstairs to find my mom in the kitchen. "Here's your breakfast pumpkin" she said placing a plate with blueberry pancakes and a glass of orange juice in front of me as I sit around the table. "You need to stop calling me that" I said watching her sit across from me. "What was that?" she raised an eyebrow at me. "I said...thank you dear mother" I said looking at her with a silly smile on my face making her giggle. She had the sweetest smile, her blond hair tied up in a messy bun with her big blue eyes buried in some papers she held in her hands while drinking her coffee. Making sure to finish eating before making a comment I know she would be pissed by, I stand up throwing my bag over my shoulder "Hmm why don't you put those papers away and go get yourself a man...sitting here wasting all that beauty" I said shaking my head at her but quickly making a run for it before she could get the chance to throw something at me. I could hear her cursing behind me from the kitchen "bye mom I love you" I shouted as I  Walked out the door closing it behind me. I noticed Chrissy walking by making her way towards school, quickly getting on my bike I caught up to her, I had a car but with school being so close prefer to ride my bike instead besides I liked it, showing off isn't my thing anyway. "Hey, this is a first"  I said flashing her my best smile. "There is a first for everything" she said giving me a friendly smile "are you following me away?" A bit surprised by her question I stopped and looked at her with an raised eyebrow, seeing her smile and rolled her eyes at me then continued walking I got off my bike and pushed so I could walk close to her "you didn't seem to have a problem with it last night" I smirked hearing that in my head it sounded like something totally different. Seeing the look on her face and her silence I could tell it sounded the same in her head and I couldn't help laughing, but then she stopped death in her tracks and turns to me with curious eyes "wait a minute, last night you said you liked me...what was that about?" she asked pushing her hair behind her ear from the wind blowing it in her face. I looked at her pretending to be be confused "I don't know what your talking about, all I remember is telling you goodnight" I said trying to keep a straight face. "No...you said you liked me before walking away, I know what I heard" she said crossing her arms over her chest. "Hmm you must have been hearing things" I watched as her facial expression turned into slight anger, "what if I said it...you got a problem with that?" I asked her. "No...but don't even think I'm one of those girls who will fall at your feet because I will neverrrr"  she said waving a finger in my face. I gave her a sheepish smile before grabbing her hand "Who said I wanted a girl like that." I said as she pulled her hand away then continued walking without saying another word, her small hand felt so soft I would hold them all day if she'd let me. "Yes I did say that...I have liked you for a while but never bothered to share my feelings seeing that you never even once looked my way..." I said looking at her. "Who says I haven't?" she asked with curious eyes. "Ah from what I've seen...the only person you've had a real conversation with is nick, he is the only one you really ever looked at...you make it quick and snappy with everyone else" I sad raising a brow at her. "Oh I see...so you're not going following me, you're watching me too" she said nodding her head and pressing her lips together trying not to laugh. "So now you're seeing me as the creepy guy next door" I said rolling my eyes at her. "No, no not at all" she said waving a hand in the air giggling, "Judging by your looks I'll say the bad boy next door who's preying on a innocent girl." "An innocent girl?" giving her a questioning look. "Mhm yep...anyways see you around I got to get a few things done before my class." she said smiling at me before turning to walk away. "See me around?" I asked a bit confused, I looked around realizing we had reached the school "oh yeah yeah...see ya" I said waving at her as she walked away then made my way to the principal's office to get some paper work in for my mother.
