"Fight, fight fight," Is all I could hear as I made my way from my classroom to my locker. Walking down the hall the shouting got louder, I could see two girls fighting like cats and dogs in the distance as the hall got overly crowded. Turning away not caring because it's none of my business, making my way towards my locker as if I didn't see anything, my head hits a hard surface hard enough to make me bounce back but soft enough for it not to hurt. "Great, it's the world's biggest jerk," I said looking up realizing who it was. "OH! So today I'm a jerk instead of your best friend who you love the most in this world?" Nick looked down at me reminding me of how short I am. He has sparkly grey eyes, chocolate toned skin that seems to glisten from the light reflecting on him from the windows and full lips curved into a smirk. I rolled my eyes at him as he held my shoulders then pushed me to my lock motioning me to put my things in and then we headed to the lunch room. "So, how was your exam? Failed? Pass?" He asked taking a seat next to me. "I did my best that's for sure, and you?" I asked stuffing my face with a burger. "Hmm, same." He said nodding his head, we chatted for a few more minutes before it was time for the next exam. It was end of term exams, it's still hard to believe I had completed half my senior year already. I'll be done with high school soon but yet it felt like I just started yesterday thankfully my years went by smoothly. "Aright lets get this over and done  with" I said standing up as Nick does the same and made our way to the classrooms we were assigned to. As the bell rang, the halls crowded with everyone, some gather into small groups chatting about the exams and their plans for the holiday while others including myself heads for the exits. Living close to the school I enjoyed walking home, putting on my headphones turning the music up but low enough to here what going on around me I slowly made my way home after letting nick know I was leaving. In the distance, I could see someone coming down the street on a bike, as it got closer I could see who it was. It's Delan nick's friend who also lives next door to me,  we never talked before even though he's a friend of Nick's, I never cared enough to talk to anyone anyway. For some reason he decided to make a sudden stop in front of me which of course took me by surprise. He smiled and winked at me before riding off, I stood there for a few seconds watching as he rides away asking myself "what the hell just happened" before continuing my walk home. "Mom, I'm back!" I shouted closing the door behind me. My home wasn't one of those houses you fall head over heels for but it's good enough to make you feel at home. The living room floor was covered with toys, as I walk further into the house I could see the twins running around chasing each other. "Where are my hugs?" I asked holding out my arms gesturing for them to hug me which made them stop and look at each other then  run to me laughing and hugging me tightly. "Where is mommy?" I asked them returning their hugs. "I, I dunno she's gone." Kimmy says shaking her head making her curly hair bounce from side to side. They're just the cutest twin girl and boy I've ever laid eyes on. Kimmy had shoulder length black curly hair and big brown eyes while Kyle had slightly shorter hair but just as curly and bouncy as Kimmy's with the same big brown eyes and the same bright smile. It's hard for someone who doesn't know them to tell them apart at first sight when they are dressed alike but I can tell them apart by their beauty marks, Kyle has two moles belong his lips while Kimmy had one under her left eye. "I'm hungry." Kyle complained looking at me with sad eyes, I chuckled at their response leading them to the kitchen. "Don't worry she'll be back soon, I'll make you something to eat in the mean while" I told him walking to the kitchen with them tailing behind me. Up on entering the kitchen I see their dad sitting around the counter, as much as I wanted to turn and leave I couldn't, Kyle's hungry and I'm not sure what time mom will be back considering I don't know where she went. Faking a smile, I greeted him with a "hello." "Good, your home, I'll leave them to you I've got places to be...Oh and your mother went to the supermarket she'll be back soon." He said rushing out. "As usual" I murmured to myself. We don't really get along well, not because I don't like him....well I actually don't....but that's not the point let's just say he's not really a husband nor a father figure, yet my mother just can't see it. Finally...the twin's are in bed after eating and taking a bath, I can now relax and read a book until mom gets home. It's around nine P.M  when she does, hearing the door open and close I head downstairs. "Hey mom, where were you?" I asked and by looking at her I could tell she had a busy day. "Oh hey Chrissy, I went to the supermarket then had to run a few more errands. Where is your dad?" she said causing my smile to fade away within seconds. "What do you mean where is my dad? He's at the cemetery where he's been for the past eight years mom, remember!" I said trying to hold back emotion in my voice. "I was talking about James...Chrissy honey, James and I have been married for four years now, can't you just accept him? What's so hard in calling him dad are just seeing him as your step dad he's-" "Mom!" I shouted cutting her off "he's not my dad nor will I ever see him as a father not to mention calling him dad! So just stop please!."   "But honey...he's the twin's father and my husband you have to accept it. I know you miss your dad and I'm not asking you to replace him, I just want you to get along with James."    "No! I definitely will not! He can't even spend an hour with him own kids...and you, mom...can't you see he's not right for you" I yelled.    "Watch your tone young lady!" Mom scolded at me.      "I'm going for a walk" I said shaking my head at her then walked out  slamming the door behind me.
