The tension in the air was palpable as the full moon rose higher in the sky, casting its eerie red glow over the camp. Lena stood at the edge of the clearing, her breath coming in shallow gasps as she watched the wolves moving in preparation for the battle ahead. The night felt heavy with inevitability, each passing second taking them closer to the reckoning she could no longer avoid. Lena glanced up at the sky, her heart pounding. The blood moon a symbol of both destruction and renewal. She couldn’t shake the sense that the prophecy had brought them to this point, that the choice she had been avoiding for so long would finally be made tonight. A voice broke through her thoughts. “Lena?” She turned to find Marcus standing behind her, his blue eyes filled with the weight of the world.
