Lena POV
My heart was pounding a mile a minute in my chest. My tears were pouring uncontrollably out of my eye sockets. Every cell in my body was buzzing, pulsing as two tethers snapped and sizzled with unexpected strength. It wasn't possible.
Then, the smell in the air made my knees weak. I knew what that meant. I can't believe it. I kept blinking away my tears as I lowered my hands from my face. I put my hand on my chest to somehow stop it from trying to pound out of my chest. I shifted back to my regular form as I slowly took in deep breaths and turned around.
I felt like I was in a dream as I watched the two forms walk toward me, hesitant at first, but now they picked up the pace. Both with determination in their strides as they came toward me. Both with the same determined express
