The next day, Alphonse woke up in the music room with back pain as the couch was small compared to his muscular form.
“Argh.” Groaning, he rubbed his forehead, blinking to clear his vision and got out.
Running his hand through his hair, he went to his room and when he tried to open it, it was locked from inside.
“Dammit.” He cursed under his breath, utterly infuriated at her action.
“Linda! Give me my room keys!” He yelled, trying to regain his senses after the hectic experience and abrupt marriage he just had.
“Yes, Sir.” She nodded and gave him the keys.
With a frown plastered on his face, he opened the door and entered.
He saw Aurelia leaning on the bed frame, legs crossed, reading the book he was reading and glared when he entered.
“Why did you lock the door?” He asked rudely, his morning already smeared by her action of locking him out.
“So I don’t have to share a bed with you.” She retorted, putting the book away, showing no emotions.
“This will happen eventually. You don’t have another option.” He scoffed, opening the buttons of his shirt.
“I would rather sleep on the floor.” She rolled her eyes off, trying not to stare at his ripped muscles and tempting body.
“Freshen yourself and eat something. Your parents are waiting for you downstairs.” He said coldly before walking to the closet and taking his clothes out.
“Tsk.” She scoffed, getting up.
“I will send them to the farmhouse later.” He added, placing his shirt on the bed.
“So I have to live alone in this haunted place with you?” She asked bitterly, hating the idea to live with him in his majestic place alone.
“Not like you haven’t done it before.” He taunted.
“Go to hell.” She muttered, taking out her hoodie and sweatpants.
“I am.” He replied in the same tone, knowing after being a cold-hearted murderer, no paradise is awaiting him.
Ignoring his words, she was about to leave for the bathroom first to freshen up but he held her arm.
“Aurelia, wait.” He spoke calmly.
“What now?” She growled, hating his touch, urging to rip it off from her skin.
“Before you do anything, remind yourself of your status now. You are my wife, don’t do anything reckless.” He breathed out, bearing her demeanor calmly.
Trying his best to not lose his thin string of patience and do something he might regret later.
“Fine. Leave my arm now.” She hissed, yanking her arm back.
Her eyes glistened with eternal detest for him but he was ready for it, he knew this was going to happen.
Sighing, he moved back as she went to the bathroom, freshened up and saw him lying on the bed with his hand over his face.
Pretending he didn’t exist, she walked out, going to the dining hall with a scowl on her face which vanished when she saw her parents.
“How’s Elle?” She asked when she saw Louis passing by.
“She is fine.” He replied with a smile.
“Can I meet her?” She asked expectantly.
“About that, you need Sir’s permission, Madam. I am sorry.” He apologized sweetly and walked away.
She cursed under her breath and went to her parents.
“Are you okay, Love?” Mrs Blue asked, holding her hand out to her.
“Existing somehow.” She muttered, taking a seat, pressing her thumb on her temples.
Her head was throbbing after the constant series of stress and threatening she went through, inducing immense depression.
“What about Elliot?” Mr Blue asked hesitantly, unsure what to do now.
“He is never returning to my streets again. I shattered his heart.” She whispered, gritting her teeth.
The truth of her headache and suffering was him. Breaking his heart hurt her a lot. She was dying to tell him but couldn’t.
Their tale ended terribly.
“Oh, Dear.” Mrs Blue sighed sorrowfully, kissing the back of her palm, on the verge of crying at her daughter’s fate.
“Crying won’t solve anything, Mama.” She sighed, rubbing her back, kissing her hand, trying to soothe her.
“But-” She sniffed, trying not to cry but she couldn’t help it. Her heart broke for her.
“I won’t breathe properly until I show him hell. Until he realizes that he has lost the Aurora he met.” She growled, giving her hand a tight squeeze.
She was determined to raze his life, to turn it upside down like he did.
“I will show him our bond has ended the day he became a criminal.”
Alphonse heard it, the moment he thought about having breakfast since he was starving but hearing it stole his appetite.
Exhaling, he shook his head and left silently, going for his work to put his augmenting sensations at serene and focus on the path ahead.
“Get me some to eat, Patricia.” He ordered his assistant.
“Yes, Sir, Sir.” She nodded.
He went to his cabin, sitting on his throne, leaning his head back with a growl.
Louis arched a brow at his unforeseen frustration before day started, considering it best to remain silent before he regained his senses.
“Here you go, Sir.” Patricia came with a sandwich and a cup of coffee. He hummed, motioning her to leave.
“Didn’t you have breakfast?”’ Louis finally asked.
“Did he leave?” He asked, ignoring his question totally.
“Yes. He did.” He sighed and waited for him to finish his food, certainly not wanting him to throw the burning coffee at him.
When he was in his dominant composure after an hour, Louis came back and decided to ask what was bothering him the whole time.
“What are you going to do now?” He asked, worried about his Boss because a permission from him meant a complete rampage.
“Do you have an option for me?” Alphonse asked, working on a file, barely doubting he could do anything in this scenario.
“Um.. No.” He replied vaguely, shrugging his shoulders.
“Then don’t ask.” He said with a glint of rage, closing the file, tensing him.
“Still. Keeping a police captain with us is dangerous.” He tried to speak softly, making him aware of the danger coming along.
“She cannot do anything anymore. I won’t let her.” He responded nonchalantly, ready to do whatever it takes to restrict her movements according to his desire.
“I know but Boss what about Elliot?” Louis asked, his concern was Elliot. He was not an ordinary person, he wouldn't sit back quietly.
This will enhance Elliot’s desire to throw Alphonse in jail to bring back Aurelia.
“Don’t kill him just yet. I know exactly what to do with him.” Alphonse said, halting his actions for a moment, looking at Louis with a darkly haunting twinkle in his eyes.
“Don’t you think she will tell him anything?” Louis asked, narrowing his eyes in suspicion.
“She will certainly try but whether he will believe her or not depends.” He shrugged, leaning back on his seat.
“It’s a great risk, Boss. I am sorry but you cannot place faith in her.” He said the fatal sentence, he didn't want to anger his Boss.
“I know. I have to do something about it as well.” He hummed, agreeing with him as he sighed in relief that at least he understands.
“Exactly. Who knows when she will stab you in the back?” He added the fact which is obvious.
“And considering your attachment, you will let it slide.” He frowned, folding his arms at his chest.
Louis knew Aurelia is his only exception, he will forgive her greatest wrong deeds.
“What else do you expect me to do? Abuse her? Kill her family?” Alphonse asked, feeling powerless in her matter.
All he had was empty threats to give her to seal her mouth and once they would stop working on her. Taming her would be extremely hard.
“No, I am simply vexed, Boss.” Louis confessed, breathing out.
“Vexed?” Alphonse asked, narrowing his eyes in perplexity.
“I am having a strong feeling that this woman will become the end of your breaths.” he said what was bothering him all this time, not trusting their bond in the slightest.
“We don’t know yet, Louis.” Alphonse sighed deeply, pinching his nose.
“Time will tell…” He began to say, a sly smirk reaching his lips to anticipate the outcome of their story,
“Whether she will cease my breaths.” But either way- he was looking forward to it.
“Or I will cease hers.”
