“Is she Madam?” Linda asked when she saw Aurelia.
She came when she saw her crying in the hall, leaning on the wall, her messy hairs covering her face.
Her state gleamed with the devastation she experienced, breaking her heart.
I was naive to believe I have a soft spot in his heart, that I will get away with anything I will do. She thought, pulling her hairs furiously.
She detest this display of weakness but the pain on her chest was immense, her life was turned upside down in a matter of hours.
She cannot cope with it.
“Madam- '' Linda was about to come and help her but she hissed.
“Don’t you dare to come closer.” Stopping, She cannot apprehended what caused her to wail and be miserable.
“What happened, Madam? Are you okay?” She asked tenderly, moving back, emerging compassion for her.
“Do I look okay?” She growled, sniffling and wiping her tears, turning her head away.
Linda didn’t know how to react with this.
According to the servants, Aurelia was Alphonse’s only exception and seeing her pathetic was unfathomable.
Linda stared at her for a while before taking a deep breath and walking away knowing she cannot do anything to help her.
“Sir?” She went to see Alphonse, finding him in the music room, making a drink for himself.
“Hmm?” His devoid tone came, he wasn’t allowed to show he is hurt so he remained unaffected.
“Madam is crying in the hall. What should I do?” She asked hesitantly, not lifting her eyes from the ground, fearing his reaction.
“Get her parents to me.” He ordered, taking a sip of his drink, taking a deep breath before regaining his posture and coming back to his dominant form.
“Yes, Sir.” She bowed and left and called her parents there who were intimidated by his presence, this place, everything.
“W-Why are you doing this?” Mrs Blue sobbed, holding her husband.
“I know I committed a depraved act. I am well aware of my actions, Mr and Mrs Blue.” Alphonse breathed out, turning to them.
“P-Please let our daughter go.. We are inferior people.. Please.” Mr Blue begged for his daughter.
“We were together at the same orphanage, the first and only friend I ever had.” He began to say, taking a step closer.
“I know I have become selfish but I want to assure you that she means the world to me and I won’t harm her or any of you.” He said sincerely.
“You shot her friend.” Mrs Blue stuttered, looking away.
“She was a local gang member disguising as her friend to steal her information.” Alphonse replied with a shrug.
Her parents were taken aback, gulping hard.
“I am not asking anything, I only want to reassure you that I will not harm your daughter in any way. She is safe, she will be given all the rights.” Alphonse said calmly.
He was trying to convince them before they reach out to anyone for help and cause further troubles.
“P-Please…” Mr Blue sniffed, worried for his daughter but Alphonse used all his charm to convince them that she is protected in his care.
Powerless before his assertiveness, they had no choice but to comply with his words and agree.
“If.. you say so.” They nodded, having no reason to extend this argument before he threatened them.
“Also, check up on her. She needs you.” He said softly, moving back, motioning to Linda to take them.
They left him alone as he sat down, closing his eyes hoping to suppress the aching pain in his head, rubbing his temples before going to sleep.
Mr and Mrs Blue saw Aurelia sitting on the ground, hugging her knees, fire burning in her eyes mixed with tears.
I swear you will pay. She thought, infuriated, curling her hands in a fist.
She was determined to show Alphonse hell for damaging her life, she won’t stay quiet and bear this, she will break him that way he did.
“Aurelia?” Mrs Blue rushed to her, hugging her.
“Mama? Papa?” She asked, taken aback when they came.
“Are you okay, love?” Mr Blue asked, hugging her as well as they began to cry.
“I was so worried about you, Love.” Mr Blue said, pulling away and holding her hand.
“He didn’t hurt you, did he?” He asked worriedly.
“What's left to hurt me after thrashing my wedding?” She asked, pulling her hand away, gritting her teeth.
“What are you going to do now?” Mrs Blue asked, scared to no extent for her daughter, praying for her safety.
“I will make him break in the end.” She growled, making a tight fist.
“Please don’t hurt yourself in the process.” Mr Blue said, not leaving her hand.
The couple could never have their own child and she is their only world, if anything happens to her, they will die.
“I won’t, Papa. Don’t worry.” She whispered, lowering her gaze.
“I am afraid for you guys, I cannot allow you guys to be hurt.” She whispered, giving their hands a tight squeeze.
“About it…” Mrs Blue began to say, pausing.
“What?” She asked.
“He wants us to stay here with you. He says it is dangerous for us to go back.” Mrs Blue told her vaguely, fearing her reactions.
“He says his enemies will use your weak points…” Mr Blue breathed out.
Aurelia cursed under her breath, turning her head away.
“What happened?” Mr Blue asked.
“I hate to say it… but he is right. If you will be here I will be serene too so that you are safe.” She breathed out, making a fist, fuming with rage.
“We will be with you also.” Mrs Blue whispered.
“I know…” She nodded as she remained like this.
She sat there for a while before forcing herself to stand, her heart was finally empty from the sobbing, she felt hollow from inside at this point.
After bidding good night to her parents, she walked past the music room and saw Alphonse sleeping there.
Glaring at him, she went to their room- as much she averses to call it but she has to- and locked it so he couldn't enter.
Throwing herself on the bed, she closed her eyes, going to sleep after a painfully long and hectic day.
