Waking up next to Chloe was a delight for Beca's sight and a soft caress to her soul. It was Beca's favorite moment of the day when the red head was peaceful, sometimes with her face snuggled into Beca's neck. However, waking up to an empty bed was not. Putting the sheets aside Beca swung her feet to the side and got out of bed before making her way to the kitchen. There she found her girlfriend with a messy bun making coffee. "You were supposed to be asleep." Chloe said looking at her sleepy brunette stand against the fridge staring at her adoringly. "you don't drink coffee." Beca said in a raspy voice. Grabbing the mug, she handed it to Beca. "But you drink a gallon." Chloe said before kissing Beca's lips. "Gross, I didn't even brush my teeth yet." Beca drank a sip of coffee as she saw Chloe's look on her face. "What?" "I've kissed you with worse things in your mouth." Chloe joked. Emily was making her way to the kitchen when she heard the red head's s*x reference making her want to throw up. "Please tell me she was talking about anything except that." The couple looked at the younger girl, their faces turning a bright red before bursting into laughing. "s*x?" Chloe laughed. "Beca tell her about the bees and the birds." Beca closed the cabinet door shut before looking at Emily with a dead serious face. "They are disappearing at an alarming rate." Emily hummed in response as she poured a cup of coffee for herself and left the kitchen. Once they were done with their breakfast and proceeded to get ready, Beca drove the pair of future doctors at college before driving towards her work. "Morning weirdo." A manly voice said to her as soon as she stepped into her studio. Beca left her backpack, because she still was a backpack kind of girl, and greeted her friend with a kiss on the cheek. "Hi Jesse." Jesse unlike Beca graduated on time with the rest of his friends and classmates before looking for job opportunities and colleges, when his friend told him she had a spot for him he couldn't say no so there he was also in L.A. working elbow to elbow with Beca. "The deal with the sappy movie is closed." Jesse told Beca getting all serious. The girl didn't even bother to look up. "Cool." "And you were the chosen one to do the music." Jesse continued. "Yeah Jess, is what I mostly do." Beca shrugged. "We do soundtracks every week." Jesse shook his head and got up to stand in front of Beca. "Not only the editing of the soundtrack but also the main song. Your main task is to write a song for the movie." Beca looked at her friend with a pleading look. "You are not being serious, am I not right?" The boy nodded. "Fuck." Beca exclaimed throwing her backpack to the ground. "Here's to a full caffeine and lack of sleep month." She said raising an invisible glass, Jesse doing the same. When she decided to become a surgeon, Chloe never imagined the amount of text books and subjects she'd have to take. It was melting her brain and between college and her shifts at the medical healthcare center her days seemed to never end. "I miss high school." Chloe groaned letting her head fall onto the book. Emily was sitting in front of Chloe at the library, she looked over at the red head before going back to her book. "We have 48 minutes left before we leave to the healthcare center, focus Chlo." Chloe raised her head from her book. "I can't, it's too much information to remember." Emily rolled her eyes. "We were lucky to get into the Accelerated Bachelor's Degree so now shut your mouth, focus or I swear to god I will sew your mouth shut and you'll be graduating by the age of 89." The younger girl said dryly looking to Chloe's eyes. The red head squinted her eyes at the girl sitting in front of her. "Don't take it personal but I feel like I'm being threatened by a cupcake." Emily raised her sight once more, Chloe immediately went back to reading her book without saying another word. Within the next hour, the girls were already helping at the healthcare care center whereas Beca was having a completely mental block. "Okay." Beca said grabbing Jesse's attention. The girl walked over to the piano. "Remind me what is this movie about?" Beca said turning around on her chair. Jesse looked up from the panel and sighed before repeating the plot to Beca once again for the millionth time. "so what do you think about this..." The girl began playing the piano, filling the room with music. "It's sad." Jesse said. "Well no s**t Jesse, it's about a pair of fools who can't be together I'm not going to sing the freaking ode to Joy." Beca snapped rolling her eyes, her fingers still playing the melody. Jesse broke into a smile; her friend did have a point. "I don't know; I feel like there should be a glint of hope. Maybe a bit joyful?" Beca began to hit higher notes making the melody less depressing. "That's better." He said happy now that they were finally making progress. "what about lyrics?" The music stopped, Beca looked at Jesse thoughtful as he did the same. "my parents don't want us together because..." She looked at Jesse trying to find a way to finish the sentence. "chores before whores?" Beca burst into laughing with her friend. "This is why I don't do songs for movies." The woman groaned wiping away a tear. "I can't write about something that I don't feel." Jesse shrugged. He rubbed his temples trying to work something out for the damn song. A long month was coming. The clock just hit 1 am and Beca hadn't realized how late it was. Looking at the hour on his lock screen, Jesse decided to finish for the day and suggested to go to their homes. Just then Beca pulled out her phone and saw the amount of texts and missed calls she had and decided to go home. Pulling her keys out of her pocket she slowly opened the house door trying to make the less noise possible, once closed, she was greeted with a silent house and a pair of bright blue eyes. "You are home."  She said smiling warmly. Beca walked over to the couch where Chloe was sitting and kissed her girlfriend's forehead before sitting down next to her. "What are you doing awake?" The brunette the noticed the pair of books lying next to Chloe and the notebook full of notes on her lap. "Trying to study." She shrugged looking up at Beca as she showed her the notebook. "Besides I figured you hadn't had dinner yet." Just in time, Beca's stomach growled making Chloe smirk at her. "The chicken is on the oven and there's mashed potatoes on the fridge." Chloe said with a little smile. Beca, in response, kissed the corner of the girl's mouth a rushed to the kitchen only to appear right away with a plate on hand and a bottle of water on the other. "What's this?" Beca asked putting the fork inside her mouth before grabbing Chloe's book. "Physics?" Chloe nodded. "While a specific major is not required to get into med school, all medical school applicants need to complete undergraduate coursework in biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics." Of course Beca knew how bad Chloe was at mathematics, after all she was the one who helped the red head with the subject for their whole senior year. "Need a hand?" "No Becs, you spent the whole day working you must be hella tired." Chloe denied shaking her head no multiple times. Beca rolled her eyes, she put her plate aside and grabbed Chloe's notebook and pencil before the red head could protest. "I've taught you math for a whole year Chlo, and also put up with the practices that you somehow forced me to join." "Have I told you that I love you?" Chloe yawned. Beca only winked at her before starting to read the theory the physics professor had given Chloe. The girl looked at Beca with her eyes full adoration, she smiled gratefully at her girlfriend who wrapped her left arm around Chloe's shoulders so she could write with the other hand.
