It felt good knowing that she was found by such a god guy. Alexander Russell may act all distant and detached from the world, but deep down he was a good guy who cared for her, not just her well being also. She took a shower getting ready for Alexander to come and pick her up to go and see the apartments that could soon be her home. She was so excited and also glad that Alexander was going to be there with her also because she felt comfortable around him. Such a good guy, he would spend his day off viewing apartment with her and Andrew.
When she came back from her shower, she found Alexander playing with naturally with Andrew, they looked so good together, too bad he was not her son’s father. She wondered if Andrew’s father would be this good with him or even want him, if he turned out to be alive. Although she wondered why he hadn’t tried to find them if he was actually alive because then Samantha’s theory was now also in her head even though Alexander told her not to mind Samantha, told her a story about how at some point Samantha thought he was a vampire. She of course explained why she thought that, God Casey was going to miss not only the hospital, but also her new found friends. Samantha, Jason, Alexander, she would even miss Dr Russell Snr, but not so much Cara Russell, because she is the only Russell who did not believe in having a friendly relationship with her patients. “Hey, I hope I haven’t kept you long,” She couldn’t even think straight, this man was so damn sexy. He wore navy slim fit chinos, a light blue dress shirt and blue black and white Jordans. He looked younger out of his lab coat. “Not at all, I’m early. I realized I hadn’t seen this little guy in a while, I hope you don’t mind. I’ve grown quite fond of him,” he said looking her in the eye. “I don’t mind, he seems t be a very popular guy around here,” she said and smiling and he appeared to be more relaxed after that.
Shortly they were on their way to the first apartment and Andrew sat comfortably in the car seat that looked new, Casey wondered if Alexander bought a car seat just to take them to view apartments, if it was any other guy it would have been creepy, but Alexander made anything and everything look sexy. They arrived at the first building that looked so much like a crack house. She notice his body language change, they greeted the social worker and walked in. To her greatest horror her apartment was on the 6th floor and the elevator was not working, the guy that takes care of the building says it hasn’t worked in three years. They were going to have to take the stairs, so he just carried her on his shoulder and Andrew’s Car seat on the other hand, The short social worker struggled the wheelchair, much to Alexander’s annoyance, he just took the wheelchair from her and walked all the way to the 6th floor and set her down on the chair. “So I know we are not off to a good start, but hopefully it will get better from here.” the social worker said and as if she had jinxed the place, it was so much worse on the inside. I did not have a toilet seat, everything inside looked old and rusty. Alexander had his hopes set on this place, it was closer to the hospital and much close to his house, this was the good side of this cruel city. She looked at the place with as though it’s a fixer upper and somehow that made him angry. His jaw was so tight, he realized she was looking at him when he relaxed his jaw and walked over to her and put her on his shoulder, took Andrew and the wheelchair, “Okay then, on to the next one,” he said trying so hard to sound optimistic and failing at it.
The two were much worse than the first one, at one of the apartments they witnessed a robbery. Alexander thanked the social worker and told her that she would get back to her by friday latest. The social worker got in her car and drove off seeing that Casey was in good hands. Alexander secured the car seat and was getting ready to help Casey into the car when she slapped his hand and he looked at her in horror, no woman had ever refused his touch. That appealed to the beast inside of him as he usually referred to his inner demons. “What did you say to her?” she was mad at him, what the hell was happening, no woman could ever resist him and that means he always got away with everything. “I told her you would get back to her before friday.” he said still puzzled by how it is that she is not affected by him. “You didn’t think I knew how to tell her that myself,” she was blowing smoke out of her ears and yet she couldn’t look so sexier. “Casey I’m not letting you stay there,” he snapped at her. “Let me? Who the hell do you think you are? You don’t know me, you don’t get to tell me what to do and what not to do. In fact, letting you help me was a mistake, please take me back to the hospital.” she was too mad to continue this conversation, she didn’t want to end up saying things she would regret.
Alexander said nothing and just helped her into the car, they drove in silence. She was too angry to care right now, she just wanted to get to that familiar hospital room and just cry her eyes out. She was falling for this i***t that thinks he can control her life. He missed the turn taking them to the hospital and she noticed, “You missed the turned going to the hospital,” she said trying to not sound as scared as she actually is. “I want to show you one last place, of course you’d be sharing, but it is at a very secured neighborhood and it has a nice garden and a gigantic backyard for Andrew to play, a pool and it’s wheelchair friendly too.” he said and she was still angry, they stopped at the driveway, “I’m sorry I overstepped, I tend to be over protective of you, when I found you in the park that morning, I promised myself I would do my best to protect you and keep you safe.” “I appreciate your help, but you need to remember the end decision is mine, even if you don’t like it,” she said less angry after she saw the honesty in his eyes. “I understand, it won’t be easy, but I can try,” he said and she was happy he didn’t lie to her to get her to take this new place.
They checked out the place, it was perfect. It was a bedroomed house, two separate bathrooms, a kitchen she could see herself cooking in and he was right, the place was wheelchair friendly, most things she would need were on the first floor. “So who would I be sharing this place with?” “Me,” he said looking at the horizon as they were on the balcony.
