The blackest black sheep

1254 Words
Months passed and Casey was not getting any closer to remembering who she is, it was not as hard because Alexander was super supportive, finding new ways for therapy. Any new research in terms of getting her help, he would pay for it and commit to it like it was him going through what Casey was going through. The therapist had said that she must focus her energy on something else, something that is not getting her memory back. Alexander decided she should focus on a small dinner for Andrew's first birthday party. They would invite Sam and Jason. Casey couldn't believe how much time she spent planning a one year old's birthday party. The cake was of his favorite cartoon. During the day they would do a professional photo shoot and a cake smash for Andrew and then later, Sam and Jason would join them for dinner.  The night before the big day, Casey laid in Alexander's arms exhausted. She wondered how she would have done this had she gotten a job. "I need you to rest now, everything will be fine for tomorrow," he said kissing the top of her head.                                                                                                                                                               "Do you think the cake is too much?" she said thinking how big the cake she ordered, "...or anything else, we can still get a refund."                                                                                                                                                     "Hey, nothing is ever too much for my little guy," he said cupping her face making her look at him, "...my gift to you, is keeping my word to you. Andrew has been accepted at the most prestigious pre school this town has to offer and it closer to the hospital, you can easily pick her up after work."                                                     "Work?" she said trying not to be too excited in case it doesn't happen the way she had hoped.                         "Yeah, it's temporary. The clerk in my ward is going on maternity leave and all you need to do is dazzle them at the interview and the job is as good as yours," he said and she hugged him and kissed him while straddling him, she wanted to show her gratitude to him. In the morning Alexander and Jason went to get everything on the list the school had emailed him for Andrew when he started school on Monday. "So I called Noah, he has been feeling left out when we hang out," Jason said as they got into the car helping the birthday boy into his car seat.                                              "That's cool, I figured he would be busy with school, plus he might be too busy finding new ways to defy dad," he said and they laughed at the blackest black sheep in their family. Alexander and Jason may be New York's playboys, but Noah had been a pain in their father's ass even a child. I mean he pretended to gay for a good part of three years at home in his teen just to spite their father and just when he thought that was the worst, Noah decided he wouldn't be a doctor, he would be a lawyer. When his father wouldn't pay for his education, he went to the one person their father told them to stay away from, Alexander. Alexander has been paying for Noah's fees for the last three years. They found Noah waiting for them at the grocery store, they were walking around and were talking when Alexander saw the guy who knew Casey and pretended to not know her months ago. "You see that guy?" he said pointing at the old guy and both his brother's nodded, "...he holds the key to us knowing who Casey really is and he keeps pretending he doesn't know her. I just need someone to befriend him and milk her for information." Both Alexander and Jason looked at Noah in his 3 piece Ralph Lauren suite and he looked at the puzzled, "why me?" he asked.                                                                                                                                      "Who else looks like a British tool even on his bad days?" Jason teased and Noah was about to walk away when he said that.                                                                                                                                                                  "Noah wait, what Jason means is that your are the only classy one of all three of us," he said and Noah was still not convinced, "...I'd do it, but he has seen me with Casey before and Jason looks like a washed out Rockstar junkie, no offense."                                                                                                                                              "Non taken," Jason said laughing at himself.                                                                                                                "This is a good $50 000 off my debt, do we have a deal?" he asked holding out his hand.                                    "We have a deal, now go talk wine with the man," Alexander said and Noah went.
