GAZE

The Deal

I was forgetting my fingers seeing his image on the screen. He looked at me but averted his gaze from me to look at Gavin.

“Hello, Gavin. I hope you are doing well.” He greeted him.

“Yes and wishing you the same.” He took it casually.

First, let me give you the introduction of the people sitting here.,

“She is my beloved wife and the chairperson of the house, Scarlett.” He extended his palm towards me to point.”

“The person next to her is Robert assisting her in the company.” Jaxon nodded to him with a smile.

“And this beautiful Lady sitting next to you, who is she?” Jaxon asked interrupting Gavin.

“She is my assistant.” He said in little husky voice.

“It seems you have a deep bond together.” He ignited my anger by saying the statement.

Gavin coughed a little sensing my temper again which I was trying to gulp down.

“Let's do some work here. Mr. Jaxon has limited time to discuss. As he is having fought after two hours.” Robert interrupted sensing something fishy is going to here.

I smiled a little to him. He was a great saviour t,o me today. Then Robert stood up from his place and started giving the detail of the company and how we have collaborated with Jaxon's company.

Thanks to technology while giving the presentation the screen was showing the facts and figures instead of his face. After completing his turn then he invited Gavin to show our plan for the upcoming venture.

Gavin explained everything effortlessly. I was smiling at his explanation. He did great research and was able to give all the answers asked by Jaxon in between the presentation.

In between his presentation, I side glanced Nora tome to time to check her expression. She was looking more than excited. Isn't it little weird to get overwhelmed to that extend, is it? She was beyond my understanding. I was unrepentant about her actions.

I will find a way to break her spine later but now my big concern was Jaxon and his company.

Both the parties were agreed on the deal. The terms and conditions were understandable. We completed the meeting and about to leave the place. 

"Hey Gavin, I was thinking to plan at your place next week. What do you say? Will have a good weekend together." Jaxon suggested.

"It sounds great. We can have an awesome time spend together and it will nourish our bonding. But first, need to ask my home minister what she says." He smirked at me.

I was looking with dark eyes to him which we quickly masked. Didn't want to create any scene I masked my emotions.

I simply nodded which he bought.

"OK, then it's final. You are coming to our place next weekend. Let me know when you come here. I will arrange your stay." Gavin smiled and thumbs up to him. 

We turned off the video conferencing and left the room. I was sweating all the time which he noticed. When we reached in his office I ordered to Nora for coffee. 

She looked angrily to at me and then averted her Gaze to Gavin. She was behaving like I am not presenting there or she is playing dumb here.

I was looking at Gavin darkly. Then looked back to Nora who was still standing in the same position without moving an inch.

Gavin was about to say anything but I cut him off.

"Still standing here, do you want some memo for this. Go get some coffee. My head is throbbing in pain." I again ordered her glaring at her.

Gavin nodded to her with a weird smile. She left the room stomping her heels in anger.

I could sense if she will stay here for a little longer we need to change the flooring soon. Her heels sounded horrible. I chuckled inwardly. But I couldn't help to my smile which flashed on my face with the devil thought.

"What happened? Why you are smiling?" Gavin frowned at me.

"Nothing it was just a thought." I lied to him.

"What happened to you at the meeting? You were sweating a lot." He asked me out of curiosity.

"Oh, it was nothing, just losing my confidence that what if the client would ask me something. I would have to answer but I was not aware of a single word here. So I was just a little stressed." I dubbed while scrunching my brows.

He narrowed his gaze on me but I turned my face to look somewhere else.

I was a bit relaxed that his scrutinizing eyes changed the attention when Nora entered back in the room.

She abruptly placed the cups in front of us. The hot coffee spilt on my dress and jumped out of the chair in pain.

"You blind eyes, don't you know how to do simple things." I quickly ran inside the cabin restroom to clean myself.

She got succeed to spoil my mood once again. Don't know what happens to his mind. Still keeping her here was beyond my thinking.

"Arghh"

I was pulling my hairs in anger. I quickly cleaned myself keeping my anger high and decided to confront Gavin for this. I was rubbing my thigh with the wet tissue where she spilt the coffee.

I washed my hands after doing my business in the washroom. I fixed my makeup a little which was cracking due to the heavy sweating.

I had gone through lots of things today. Why God why you send bullets from all the direction. How I am going to handle both of them at the same time. Were my nightmares not enough to torment me, you sent these two people in my life. Why everyone is behind me with a stick. 

My trail of thoughts halted when a saw them again very close.
