Basement Fight

My eyes gaped when Nora was trying to touch him from back when Gavin was standing on the window facing outside.

I coughed a little to show my presence and walked towards the table. I took my love on the receiver chair. Gavin turned towards me eyeing Nora with a side glance.

“It’s already a little dark outside and I don't think anything left for today’s work. So we should take our leave for now.” I suggested smugly. I wanted to get rid of this b***h anyhow. I don’t get good vibes from her when she is around.

“OK, honey, as you say so.” He nodded and picked up his coat from the chair and we both up got ready to walk outside.

“But now we can go. Still, one meeting is left with Mr George. He is investing in our company and seeking your presence to know more about the plans.” Nora explained while starting at her nails in victory.

“Ohh, how could I forget that?” Gavin said confused.

I looked at him for an explanation.

“He is a big investor and two days back he called me to meet and we decided to meet today.” He explained in a soft voice.

“Ok, then we can wait till the meeting ends,” I said nonchalantly and about to sit on the chair.

“The meeting is not here, Baby.” He said with a plastered smile like he was hiding something.

“Then,” I asked

“It’s in the hotel booked by him so I have to go there.” He was scrunching his forehead.

“Ok, then let’s go.” I stood up and got ready to go with him.

“oh, honey, how to explain. This meeting is for men only. Though we discuss work too girls are not allowed. You know what I mean.” He explained with a wink.

I pouted a little at his explanation as I was trying to spend a little more time with him.

He kissed me quickly without waiting a single second. I was shocked by his action as it’s a professional place to do such things. But from inside I liked the way of his showing love towards me.

“OK, I can understand. I am going to miss you this evening.” I said in low voice.

“I will try to come early,” Gavin assured me and took me in his embrace while kissing me on my temple.

I turned to take my leave. Suddenly a thought boomed in my mind.

“Hey, Nora, why don’t you join me this evening. As Gavin is going to the meeting so I am free then. Come with me. We will go shopping and done out together. In this way, we will try t,o dissolve our issues.” I enthusiastically said with a grin.

to thank you Ma’am but I have plans with my boyfriend tonight I can not join you. But next time I would love to spend time with you for sure.” She reasoned with uncomfortable expressions.

“All right, no worries. Enjoy your evening.” I sadly voiced.

“Then I take my leave. Bye Love will meet you at home. Nora, you can join her till the parking. From there you can take your leave too.” Saying this Gavin left the room after giving me a quick peck on the lips.

I sighed and left the cabin to go into my room. I collected my belongings and left the office. In the elevator area, I found Nora waiting for the lift. I smile weakly and stood near her as we were waiting for the elevator.

We pressed the basement button once we entered it and the door closed. It was the longest travel I could feel I had in my life. I dead silence was there. Not she was saying anything neither I was interested. I was busy surfing on my smartphone. Thanks to technology that we have lots of things to do in the virtual world when we don’t have any interest in real one.

I quickly stepped out if the elevator ones the door opened with a ding sound. I moved towards my vehicle where the driver was waiting. I was on my track when felt someone yanked my left arm.

I stumbled on my feet.

“Hey, what are doing?” I snapped at her.

Somewhere I was prepare that this is about to come. but never expected that this will come so quickly. Her nails were digging in my white skin.

“What’s your problem? you are hurting me. Leave me.” I was wiggling and somehow managed to freed myself from her clutches. I yelled at her.

“This is the reward for try g to come closer to what is mine.” She spat venomously.

I shot him daggers through my eyes. I was flaring in anger. Who dare she to claim my husband as hers.

“you are crossing your line, OK. Don't forget he is my husband you are a mere personal assistant.” I cleared her mind.

She laughed maniacally. I frowned at her laugh.

“Oh, really,, she we still laughing as I threw a big joke.

“Go and double check with your so called husband. You will get the truth. I know you will not believe me but him.” She sniggered at me. Her confidence trembled my body. How could be so sure about her lies.

At one moment I thought to confront Gavin for what she was saying but then I quickly dropped this idea as it will show my love is weak and our bonding is in question. So I thought another way.

I slapped at her left cheek with my right with full force. I was sniffing in fury. My heart was bolt up with her statements and wanted to go back to the office to clear the things what she was saying g right now.

“This is what your reward for disrespecting your Employer and company owner. You better keep this in your sick of a mind that Gavin is my husband and devoted to his responsibilities as well. So I will not tolerate this next time.” By saying that I turned towards the chauffeur. My hairs were blow g in the air with my every step. Every hair of my body was emitting anger. I quickly settled in the back seat of the car and left that b***h alone in the basement.
