Kael pulled me through the dark trees, his grip like a band of iron around my wrist. I could hear the distant shouts of the Alphas back at the pack house. They were confused and angry. They were looking for the source of the light and the shaking. Every step I took felt like I was dragging a mountain behind me. The silver light was still pouring out of my skin, turning the grass and the leaves of the bushes into shimmering white statues.
