As insane as the idea sounded it was a possibility, however unlikely or impossible it sounded. The Founders were built to do things humans couldn’t. They learned at a rate that made humanity, from evolution to its most advanced ideas, look like a farce. It was the main reason why the research teams who created the enigmatic AI’s built it into their system to shut themselves down when their assigned task was finished. They had created the Aethernet from nothing bigger than a concept in a matter of months. Launched it worldwide in just under a year. The Aethernet itself made its predecessor look like a child’s toy. Less than a child’s toy. Given enough time, and The Vessel had decades of time, they could accomplish almost anything. Time travel, or some analog thereof, wasn’t completely off
