Debi's PoV

Taiko and I arrived home past nine in the evening.

"Mom, we're home" I said as soon as I entered the house.

"How's your day?" Mom asked as she approached us. She's from the kitchen. Mom hugged me first, then she hugged Taiko next.

"Why are you still in the kitchen, what are you doing?" I asked as I went to the kitchen. They followed me to the kitchen. I saw the kitchen is in a mess because of her business.

"How many orders do you have?" I asked.

"I have 30 orders, it should be delivered tomorrow morning" Mom said.

"You should've told us so we could have gone home early and helped you" I said.

"I didn’t want to bother you during your visit to your new friend’s house" Mom said.

"But, mom - " before I could say anything, Taiko interrupt me.

"That’s enough, you two—mother and daughter shouldn’t be arguing. Let’s just help Auntie instead" Taiko said. Taiko and I just helped instead.

Melody's PoV

As soon as I got to my room, I immediately called Dylan. I had such a great time visiting Rix's house that I forgot to reply to Dylan. I hope he's not mad at me.

"Hey" I said as soon as he picked up the phone. He stayed silent. Gosh, he's not mad is he?

"Are you mad?" I asked.

"I'm not, I was just wondering why you didn’t reply earlier, and why you’re only calling now, it’s really late" he said.

"Sorry, did I disturb you? Were you about to sleep?" I said.

"Not really, I just finished taking a shower" he said.

"I’m really sorry I couldn’t reply right away earlier. Actually, I was about to respond as soon as I saw your message, but Debi took my phone and saw your message" I explained.

"So, you were with your friends earlier" he said.

"Yes, we visited Rix’s house and I enjoyed it so much that I forgot to reply to you. I’m really sorry" I said.

"Rix, is that the guy you defended from Reed?" he asked.

"Yes, that's him" I said. He stayed silent again for a minute.

"Are you still there?" I asked.

"Yeah" he replied, "So, does your friends know about us?" he asked.

"Yes, I told them, hoping you wouldn’t be mad at me" I said.

"I'm okay with it, they're your friends and I know you trust them, then I will too" he said. I smiled at what he said. I lay down in my bed.

"What about you, how's your day, what did you do?" I asked him.

"Well, I went out with Drake, we just hangout. I did what I promised, I didn't skipped a meal" he said.

"What about Reed and Chris, why didn't you bring them along?" I asked.

"They're busy" he said.

Dylan's PoV

She asked about Reed and Chris, I just lied about it. We don't really get along with them anymore after what they did.

"How's your preparation going for your performance?" she asked.

"It's going well—there are just a few things that need to be polished, but overall it's okay. Of course, we're aiming to win" I said.

"I wish I could see your performance" she said.

"I wish I could see your performance too, but its alright at least we're not competing against each other" I said.

"Hey, your man's here and he's waiting for you downstairs. Hurry up, go to him now" I heard a guy on her end.

"Whose that, and who's man is he talking about?" I asked.

"That's my brother, I'll call back, bye" she rushed to hang up the call.

Melody's PoV

I rushed downstairs to meet him. I smiled as soon as I saw him.

"DAD!" I exclaimed and ran towards him. I hugged him tightly.

"Oho, my princess missed me so much" Dad said. Then I pulled out from that hugged.

"Of course I missed you, but you said you won't be home till next month, did something happened?" I said.

"Nothing happened. I finished everything I needed to do for next week right away so I could go home early. Because I want us to celebrate since you passed the CSSA—we didn’t even get the chance to celebrate that" Dad said.

"Dad, it's really not necessary. And I don't think I'll have much free time anymore. I'm going to be busy—we already have our first task, and we only have two weeks to prepare, so it's going to be really hectic" I said.

"Is that so? Then let’s just celebrate after you're done with that task" dad said.

"If they win, every task there is a competition and there's always an evaluation. So if they win, we can celebrate, but I doubt that" William's participation in the conversation.

"William, don't say that to your sister" mom scholded him.

"I'm just saying the truth" William said. I'm used to him, so I just choose to ignore him sometimes.

Dylan's PoV

I can't sleep, I'm still waiting for her to call back. I've been walking back and forth in my room. As soon as I heard my phone ring, I answered it immediately.

"Hey" I immediately said.

"Hey, I think I left my wrist watch in your place, could you keep it for me, I'll just get it when I need it" its Drake.

"Drake" I said.

"Wait, you sound disappointing, we're you waiting for someone to call and you thought I'm that person?" he said.

"I'll just bring you your watch at school, bye" I said and hang up the call. My phone ring again, and I pick it up again.

"What do you want?" I annoyinly said.

"Ah, what did I do?" I was surprised to hear Mel's voice on the other line.

"I'm sorry, I thought you we're Drake" I immediately apologized to her.

"Sorry for taking so long to call back—Dad arrived, and we had a little chitchat, so that's why" she said. Oh, that's her dad.

"Its fine, you should go to sleep now, its late, I'll just see you on Monday" I said.

"Okay, see you on Monday, goodnight" she said.

"Goodnight" I said then we hang up the call.
