The drive from Eugene to Obsidian had given Ryan time to prepare himself for seeing his family. Having to stop to change a flat tire had put him behind schedule, which he hated. That was one of the few things he had in common with his brother Ben. They both like to be punctual, if not early, for everything. As Ryan approached the entrance to Obsidian, he felt his wolf bristle in his head. There were three men standing guard at the iron gate. Growing up there, the most he had ever seen had been one.
