Selene hung her head low as she watch Melanie clearly enjoy the way her words sliced through her. She could hear the mumbles of Miccoli and the others, but their words faded in the background of her jaded mind.
This is all my fault
She’d been the one who started this entire thing, and because of her, thousands would lose their lives.
“Queenie don’t listen to her she’s just trying to get in your head.” Ramsey begged Selene, the vibration of the words causing his ribs to ache.
Well it’s working
She refused to look at anyone else in the room. How could she have let this happen? It was her job to protect everyone, but she’d failed them. “You humans…always with the dramatics.” A familiar voice from the corner of the room finally caught her attention. “Oh you’ve got to be f*****g kidding me.” Ernouf roared, the anger in his eyes almost palpable. “Nice of you to finally join us.” Melanie said turning her eyes to Elder Bedivere.
“How could you do this! We treated you like family!” Selene could feel the bile rising in her throat. Was there no one she could trust? Elder Bedivere threw his hand in the air, his eyes widening. His voice was low, his body weakened. “No..no..it was not me.” The words barely getting out in their entirety before his large body crashed to the floor. Selene looked from his robe to his claw, they were covered in blood.
“I don’t under-“Her words caught in her throat as another figure stepped from behind him. The room felt as if it was spinning. “That’s not possible!” Drusilla said softly, the fear in her eyes matching that of those around her.
“And yet here I stand before you all.” He said the darkness of his cloak hiding what would be a smile.
“You’re dead!”
A menacing laugh escaped Elder Castor’s throat.
“No…but in a few moments, you all will be.”

-- Addeline POV--
“I NEED TO SAVE THEM…I NEED TO GET TO MY PARENTS!” I could hardly control myself as the tears continued to fall from my face. Luka wrapped his arms around me, his smell calming me a little. “I know Pele but we have to be smart about this…you don’t know my mother.”
“She’s NOTHING compared to my mom and dad.”
“Which is why that makes this scarier.” Luka released me and looked in my eyes, his blue pool searching my face wildly. “Think about it…if my mom managed to kidnap two of the strongest Supernatural’s known…if you’re mother went WILLING to protect us…then there’s something we don’t know, and I have a feeling it has to do with that weapon she was pointing at us.” As much as I didn’t want to admit it, Luka was right. My mother could have beheaded Melanie the moment she set foot into our home, and yet she went with her. Why? Why would she sacrifice herself that way, and how did she manage to trap my father in the first place? My head felt like it would explode and I gripped onto Luka for support.
“We have to get to uncle Ramsey…have to find aunt Flora…they’ll know what to do.”
“She’s taken them…she’s taken them all.” Sam’s small voice said from the doorway. Oliver stood next to her, his usually handsome face, riddled with pain.
“All of your parent’s second in commands…she took them while they were making rounds.”
“That’s must have been how she lured your father.” Luka said through clenched teeth. “It’s typical behavior for my mother. Use love ones to get what you want.”
“YOUR MOTHER!” It was the first time Oliver spoke, and his eyes were blood red. He lunged towards Luka, but Samantha caught him in time, fighting to hold onto him, her eyes pleaded with Addeline. “Addy, you wanna explain the human?” I took a deep beath and stood in front to protect Luka. “Luka is my friend…his mother is the woman who took our parents…he..he has no affiliation with her.”
“Likely story.” Oliver said snidely his eyes still trained on Luka. Luka stepped from behind me and faced Oliver.
“My mother beat me for years until I finally escaped with my father. I have had and want nothing to do with her, but if killing me makes you feel better…go right ahead.”
“Relax hero…no one will be spilling your blood today.” Katherine said placing her hand on her son. “That won’t help us at all.” Oliver mumbled something under his breath, but his body began to untense. Running to Katherine, I wrapped my arms around her. “She took her right in front of me Aunt Kat…she just…she-” The words stopped in my throat as I thought about the way my mother looked at me before being taken. The ache in my chest threatening to destroy me.
“We’re going to get them back…but we need a plan. We’re all in this together.” From behind Aunt Kat, I could see Ernouf’s mate Bethany and her young pup. “Take him out back to Freya. She has Jamie and Ivan with her.” Bethany nodded her head to Katherine before smiling softly at me. I’d learned she wasn’t one for many words, but she’d always been very kind. The bags under her eyes made her look older and tired, and I wanted more than anything to hug her.
Katherine walked in and took a seat, running her hands over her ginger hair.
“So, it appears that everyone’s here…let’s get this meeting started.”

“You did this?” Miccoli couldn’t believe it the Elder that was standing in front of him.
“How is this even possible?”
“Blame this weak piece of shit.” Elder Castor kicked Elder Bedivere and laughed at the blood that flew from his mouth. “Did you all really think he could kill me? A little bump on the head and he jumped for joy…pathetic.” He kicked him again, this time allowing his anger to intensify it’s force. Leaning down he whispered.
“How does it feel?”
He hated Bedivere with everything thing inside of him, almost as much as he hated the group of Supernaturals surrounding him. “I wanted to come and thank you all personally! Because of the unique energy extracted from your bodies, these weapons will not only be the most powerful devices known, but they will be able to kill any Supernatural they encounter.” Walking towards Selene, he caught a glimpse of Miccoli’s eyes reddening.
“DON’T YOU GO NEAR HER!” He chuckled. “I see after all this time, you still don’t know how to control your temper.” Selene eyes were lifeless, the hope sucked right from them.
Good, now she finally knows how it feels
“How could you kill the people you were created to protect?” Elder Castor scoffed. Running his long nails against the rails of the cage, he turned to face her.
“I will kill every Supernatural there is, if that means I remain on top...just ask the vampire you put in charge of the forgotten.” Selene felt a chill go up her spine. It was in that very moment she realized; Nick was nowhere to be found.
“WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE WITH HIM?” Elder Castor placed his hands in his pocket, and then threw an item towards Selene’s feet. “Why you would you put such a basic vampire in charge of such a huge undertaking is beyond me…I was quite disappointed when I drained him to find there was nothing special about his energy at all.” She didn’t want to look down, she knew what they were. With hands shaking, she picked up Nick’s fangs.
“I’m going to kill you.” She said in almost a growl.
“Not if I kill you first.” He said whispering to her. Elder Castor felt his chest swell with pride. His plan was finally in motion, everything was in place, just like he needed it to be. His purple eyes traveled from one person to the next, until they landed on a bare cage. Panicked, he turned to Melanie.
“Where’s the girl?” Melanie shrugged her shoulders.
“I couldn’t very well grab her and Selene by myself.” Elder Castor inhaled deeply and walked over to her. “So, you let her go?” Melanie couldn’t believe he was questioning her. After everything she’d accomplished.
“I could care less about some harmless little mutt! I wanted the strongest supernaturals and I got them.” Before she could say anything else, Melanie caught the taste of iron as the back of Elder Castor’s hand collided with her face.
“YOU STUPID b***h! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’VE DONE! YOU’VE CONDEMED US..YOU’VE CONDEMED US ALL!”

--Addeline POV--
“I’ve heard rumblings of humans being seen in all the realms.” Katherine said to the group, her eyes large. “I think they’re planting something...something dangerous.” Luka looked at me his face seeming to ashen.
“What the matter?”
“I can’t believe she did it.” He said walking toward the fireplace. Placing his hand on the shelf he inhaled deeply. “One the day my dad took me… my mom and dad had a HUGE blowout. About how closed off she became, about his traveling…about me..and about-“ He turned to face us.
“About imaginary creatures.” My mouth felt like it dried. “At the time, I thought that she was going crazy because she swore that they were real, and that my aunt was one of them. They didn’t know I was listening, but I snuck near the vent in my room so that I could hear. She said that she was going to figure out a way to kill them all for what they did to her sister…she said she just needed enough energy and then she could… blow them up.” The entire room silenced, all our minds going to the same place at once.
“She’s planting some kind of bombs.” Samantha said, her lip quivering. “We need to warn everyone, and we need to get our parents fast.” Katherine jumped from the couch and walked over towards me.
“You all need to get to them…something tells me that energy she’s talking about has to do with them…why else would she take the strongest Supernaturals?”
“Yeah but why didn’t she take Addeline? Aren’t you like…I don’t know mega strong or something?” Oliver said folding his arms. Katherine placed her hand under her chin. “I don’t think she knows Addeline is Legion…which may work in our favor.”
“Legion?” I could hear the confusion in his voice. I wasn’t ready to tell him exactly what I was. I didn’t want to scare him off again. “Aunt Kat, can you and Aunt Freya warn the people here? I can call Rumy and get her up to speed so she can warn those in the Light Realm.”
“You about an hour too late.” Rumy said walking in the door.
“Doesn’t anybody knock around here?” Aunt Katherine smirked at Luka’s statement. “If you plan on sticking around Blue Eyes, I suggest you get use to it.” A blush creeped on Luka’s face and Rumy winked quickly at me.
“Nice” She mouth towards me, making sure Luka didn’t see, and I couldn’t help but let out a small giggle. Leave it up to her to check Luka out during a crisis.
“I’ll call the Faries in the Light Realm and have them prepare everyone for immediate evacuation.”
“You don’t want to go and do it yourself?” Rumy smiled at me. “And leave my best friend to fight this b***h? No way! Your parent’s have always treated me like family…I want to help.” She wrapped her arms around me, and I felt my body start to slightly relax.
“I don’t even know how to find them.” Rumy, removing me from her arms, locked eyes with me.
“I know someone who might. He knows everything about everything. If there is anyone who can help us it’s him.” I grab her shoulders and shake her slightly. “Well who is it?” She sighs before speaking.
“His name is Calchas …he’s the NEW ruler of the Forgotten…he’s Nick’s son.”
