Chapter 4 High King

Jadeite's POV

We walk into the council chambers and I am in complete awe. I've never seen anything like this. The building is absolutely breathtaking in such a minimal way. It's enchanting. All of the little carvings and artifacts that line the walls are fascinating and steal my attention quickly.

I'm snapped out of my revelry by Jake as he pulls me to heel next to him. We are standing right in front of the council and High King Rafe. I curtsey and wait to be told to stand. Jake barely bows his head to the jackass and brings it back up quickly. I barely look up but I see King Rafes face turn from pleasant to a scowl before he hides it with a schooled face and a raised brow.

"Rise Luna Jadeite and welcome to your first Alpha Games. Alpha Jake welcome back though I can't really say that you will enjoy these games this year. Please take your seats to the side of the platform while we wait for the rest of the Alphas to show. We have some business that needs to be discussed before the games start this year." King Rafe says as Jake saunters off to the side without even another bow. 

I look at his retreating back incredulously for a second before I remember we were dismissed. I curtsey quickly and retreat to find Jake. It didn't take long to find him. He was already in a dark corner with a maid his tongue shoved so far down her throat it looks like it hurts.

 I just turn and walk to my seat. The King raises his eyebrow at me and I just shake my head. Then I feel the unmistakable searing pain of a mate's betrayal only this time it's ten times worse. s**t, he and Shade must have completely opened our connection instead of keeping it mostly closed. I can feel every single thing he is doing to that she-wolf.

I can feel the pleasure he is getting from feeling her against him as well as all the pleasure he is getting from my pain. He opens his eyes and I can see through them for the first time since we felt our bond. I helplessly watch as he sucks and licks at her skin and he slowly and sensually pulls off her clothes. His roaming hands moved from her plump breasts to her shaved slit. I feel how wet she is and shudder in disgust at how turned on Jake is getting from his sick game. I feel him thrust up into her ass her p***y constricts on his c**k.

 I suck in a breath and the King's head whips around to me. As he looks at me I can feel the bruises start to appear. Jake purposefully made me wear a dress that showed my shoulders and now as I look down I'm covered in bruises. It's only been a few minutes but the King gets up and comes to me. He looks into my eyes and I see recognition. He takes a hold of my hand as another searing wave of pain crashes over me like a tidal wave breaking against the shore.

I can still feel him thrusting into her as he opens his eyes again to continue the show he is sharing with me. I feel him marking her with HICKIES as it leaves deep bruises on my pale skin blooming dark and angry like a flower trying to weather intense conditions. Shade then decides to join in his human fun as he connects with Gemini in my mind and makes her watch as he stalks the other female wolf. He rounds her quickly and pins down her neck as she readily gives him her submission by waving her exposed ass in the air.

I feel Gemini flinch as Shade stares her down as he enters the she-wolf slowly giving her pleasure as I feel nothing but excruciating pain. I'm not sure what he sees but I can feel he's starting to get extremely angry. All I can see is what Jake shows me but I can feel intense agony and burning anger right next to me.

 I shrink back thinking I did something only to have him pull me into his arms. The other Alphas and Lunas that have arrived have been greeted and shown their seats by the council but I can feel their eyes on me. 

They watch as the bruising and pain start to become too much and my straight face crumbles into pain.

He stays with me until he feels me start to relax. He knows Jake is done and will appear soon. He looks again into my eyes and smiles.

"Don't worry little one. I have a plan for your dear Alpha. Your friend Star has been in contact and now more than ever im so glad she has been. I was able to see through your wolf Gemini what was happening.

 There is no redemption for him. He is beyond even the most vilest human emotion. I have never in all my years witnessed something like this. I am sorry you have had to deal with these circumstances little one but fear not you are safe and all will be well soon."

With that, he walks away and sits back down just in time for Jake to slip back in smelling like the she-wolf he just f****d. I do nothing but look ahead. Head held high I will not let it bother me. He means nothing to me.

"Damn straight girl!" Gemini exclaims.

"Gem is that you Holy Moon your back!"

"Yea girl King Rafe freed me from Shade. You will know more soon just pay attention and keep your eyes and mind open. Do not let the past hold you down. Remember you are a strong young women with her whole life left to live. Do not give Jake and Shade the satisfaction of seeing your break. You are not broken you are just cracked. When our second chance comes to us from the Goddess we will feel whole again for the first time in years."

With that, she goes into the back of my mind just waiting and watching. She was right I need to be more optimistic about what this year's Alpha Games could mean for me. It is a good place as any to start I believe. 

Hopefully, things start looking up for me and Gemini really soon. Over the next two hours, all the other Alphas and Lunas have shown up, been introduced, and shown their seats. 

King Rafe then rises and shocks everyone with what he says but my shock sends me almost to my knees as I stare at him.
