Chapter 2 Bruises, Blood, and Tests

Jadeite's POV

I shake those thoughts as I walk into Dr. Savils office. Star Savil is an amazing doctor and I'm so lucky to have her as a friend. I walk in and she looks up from her paperwork.

"Hey Jade how are you today? Come on in and change into the gown. Let's get started we have a lot of tests in a short amount of time. You can talk while I work" Star says while she's putting on her gloves and getting all her instruments set up.

"It's been tough Star. You know how he is. I have to listen to him constantly f*****g someone else. I've seen him with two different women already this morning. I'm completely covered in bruises from his escapades last night and I can barely walk. Oh also I haven't eaten in two days." I ramble out while undressing. 

Star gasps as she looks at my body. I don't blame her this s**t is hard and I'm surprised I'm not dead from all the pain yet.

Star just looks at me and holds up her hand while I start to put on the gown.

"Hold up hun we have to take pictures of this first before it all starts to fade again. He went so crazy last night that the bruising is on your face. We need to document this for the council." She's adamant and I don't blame her so I strip bare and show her everything. She takes so many pictures. It's ridiculous.

"OK Jade get into the gown and we will start the exams. The first one is council ordered on all Lunas who have met their mates more than a month ago. I will be giving you a vaginal exam to see if you are still intact as well as to see if you can still bare children. It also makes sure you are not pregnant just in case your mate is not Alpha material and they kill him." She says matter of factly.

I just shake my head at her how would she know these things. It's not in anything I've read but we shall see what happens. I let her do her thing and by the time we are done with all the tests the bruising has started to fade slightly and a couple of hours have passed. 

Looking at the clock I see I have an hour left before we have to leave so I tell Star bye and thank her as she wishes me good luck and promises to get the medical records to the council before the Alpha Games.

Hopefully, all goes well and I will be free of Jake soon!

Star's POV

I watched my best friend Luna Jadeite walk out of my office and down the hall. She had her head held high and she walked with such grace you would never know she was in so much pain. Poor Jade got the s**t end of the stick when it comes to mates. For such a wonderful kind and beautiful women, the Goddess gave her a terrible mate. I have never heard of a mate continuing to cheat on his bond and not claiming his mate after meeting them. Especially an Alpha it is completely unheard of.

I was with Jadeite when she found out Alpha Jake was her mate. The poor girl broke down crying because she knew her dreams of a loving mate were shattered. She still has never felt the touch of her mate not that she would want to with who he is. I know werewolves can't contract human diseases but that doesn't mean s****l contact with anything that walks is safe. However, he has never touched Jade and for that, I am extremely grateful.

I finish the lab work on Jade's tests and I'm not surprised to see some of her tests are far from normal. She is not allowed to be a normal person here. She is locked up and treated like a slave in her own home by her mate and his whores. The packhouse servants are treated better than she is. the only reason she has clothes is that I gave her what I could when I grew out of them. Even then that was years ago and she won't accept any more handouts from me. I'm pretty sure that is the Alpha's doing.

I finish the tests and get everything ready to mail to the council. What Jade doesn't know is I have been sending her files to them this whole time. They know that Alpha Jake is not a real Alpha and I'm sure they have just been waiting for the right time to strike. I can't help but feel giddy thinking it could happen at this year's games. I would love to be able to watch it. I normally tune into the Alpha Games here and there to see what other kinds of Alphas are in the world as I daydream about leaving this s**t hole of a pack forever.

I always knew Jade and I were meant for bigger and better places than the Blue Eclipse pack. Hopefully when the council takes care of Jake. Jade will find a second chance mate and leave this place taking me with her. I shake my head and continue packing up for the day. I'm leaving early to make sure the copies of her tests get to the High King on time. 

He needs to know that the night before the biggest test that Alpha goes through each year Jake left his mate in another room hungry, cold, and in excruciating pain. I am shocked she wasn't hospitalized with how much Jake must have been enjoying his w***e.

I grabbed my keys out of my desk and grabbed my oversized purse that thankfully holds everything and put the large envelope into my bag. it should be big enough to conceal the evidence and make sure this information got to the King. I hurry out the door as I wave goodbye to my coworkers. I rush to my car almost slipping on thing air and crashing into the concrete below me. I finally got to my car and started it. I threw it into reverse drive out of the parking lot trying to act normal. 

This is a huge deal I'm technically betraying my Alpha but I'm helping my Luna and best friend. That's all I need to think about as I make it out of the school parking lot and gun it to FedEx. I run inside hoping I was able to catch the last delivery driver when I slam into a very hard chest. 

I look up and see someone unfamiliar but of course, I had to go a couple of towns over for the closest FedEx. I run past the guy having to completely change course because he was so big I'd never been able to move him and run into the building. I got there just in time and I sent off the package. I let out a huge breathe of relief the info the King needed will be in his has by tonight.

I walk outside exhausted and again not paying attention and ended up running into the same hard chest as before. However, instead of standing there and staring at me dumbfounded like before he grabbed me by my hips and pulled me into him. He shaved his nose into my neck and breathed in deeply. The next word he said shocked me to my core. I never thought it would happen.

"MATE!!!
