You Hurt Me

We get to the back and the guy doesn’t talk much while doing everything and I don’t mind at all.

My first tattoo was only about ten minutes because it was a little one but my other tattoo took about three and a half hours if not four.

My first tattoo is just a little black heart on the back of my neck. The meaning behind it is that I don’t believe in love. Love is just a lie, a trick to pull you in and break you into tiny pieces. I’ve been through enough things to know loves a bullshit lie.

My second tattoo is a snake surrounded by roses. I got it because I feel like I’m surrounded by pure beautiful people while I’m a f****d up evil person.

After he finished cleaning and wrapping up my tattoos he left. I started putting my shirt on and getting up and I could tell Lucas wanted to ask why I got those but decided to keep his mouth shut and I appreciated that.

We got to the front and I got out my card to pay when Lucas walked up behind me and tried handing his card to the girl at the front desk. I pushed his hand away and turned towards him.

“What do you think your doing Lucas?” I asked and he rolled his eyes.

“I’m paying for your tattoos.” He said in a duh tone.

“I’m not letting you pay.” I said and crossed my arms. He smirked and raised his eyebrow.

“Yes I am now move princess.” He said and tried moving me to the side but I refused.

“No your not.” I said and turned around and I tried to hand the girl my card. Key word tried. Lucas grabbed my card and handed the girl his.

“Lucas give me my card so I can pay for my tattoos.” I said annoyed but he just smiled. “No can do princess.” He smirked and I rolled my eyes.

“Then I’m getting a piercing.” I said hoping he’ll change his mind but all he did was shrug and nod. “Then I’ll get two piercings.” I said but he still didn’t care.

I turned to the girl at the desk. “I want an eyebrow piercing and my tongue pierced please.” I said and she smiled and nodded.

She walked me to the back and told me to sit down. I sat down and watched as she prepared everything. She seemed nice so I decided to make conversation with her.

“So how long have you been working here?” I asked and she turned and walked over towards me.

She started cleaning the area around my right eyebrow where she was going to pierce it. “I’ve been working here for almost three years so you have nothing to worry about.” She said and smiled.

I grinned and looked up at her. “I wasn’t worried. How old are you?” I asked curiously.

“I’m currently twenty two but I turn twenty three in a few months.” She said and smiled at me. I nodded my head.

“Okay try to stay as still as possible so it doesn’t go in crooked and we don’t have to do it twice.” I nodded my head slightly. “Okay now breath in.” She said and I took a deep breath in. “Breath out.” She said and as I breathed out she shoved the needle through my eyebrow.

She put the jewelry in and started cleaning around. “You barely bled that’s good just make sure to keep it clean.” She said and I nodded.

“Okay now I’m going to have you swish mouth wash for a few minutes to numb your mouth a little.” She said and handed me a little cup that was half full of mouth wash.

I spit it out after holding it for six minutes and sat back down. She done the same breathing thing and shoved it through as I was breathing out like last time.

It hurt but I’ve felt worse so I wasn’t going to make a big deal out of it. I only just realized Lucas was sitting beside me recording the whole thing.

He stared at me with wide eyes. “Lucas stop recording me.” I said and pushed his phone out of my face.

“How the f**k did you not scream while she did that?” He asked both amazed and shocked. It made me want to laugh seeing the expression on his face but I didn’t.

I just shrugged and got up. I thanked her and she smiled.

“Oh and I forgot to ask what your name was.” I said and her smile widened “My names Samantha but everyone calls me Sam.” She said and I nodded. “Well Sam anytime I want a piercing I’ll be going to you what’s your number?” I asked and she gave me her number.

“Alright everything’s already paid for you ready to go?” Lucas asked and I nodded. We walked out and started heading towards his truck.

“My tongues soar and I want ice cream.” I said and Lucas rolled his eyes.

When we got to his truck I took his keys and tried to get in the truck. “What do you think your doing Rae?” Lucas asked and I rolled my eyes.

“I want to drive again.” I said and he shook his head no. “Nope your not driving my baby again.” He said and I pouted and stood in front of him.

He sighed and gave me the keys again. I smiled and got in and started the engine. “Buckle up buttercup I want ice cream and I won’t be following the speed limit.” I said and Lucas groaned.

“Your not going to be allowed to drive my truck again if you keep driving crazily.” Lucas said and I rolled my eyes. “I drive perfectly safely. I know what I’m doing and I won’t reck us so calm down and enjoy the ride.” I said and started driving towards my favorite ice cream place.

After I got my ice cream we went back to my house. “Why’d you even want to hang out with me today when you know I don’t like you.” I asked and he rolled his eyes.

“You do like me we used to be close. You just think I’m going to hurt you like everyone else.” He said and damn that kind of stung but his words were true.

“Well why wouldn’t I feel like your just trying to hurt me when you’ve been f*****g the girl who participated in making my life hell.” I said and didn’t wait for his answer before going to my room and shutting the door and locking it.

I thought he would follow me upstairs but instead I heard the front door open and close then his engine start. I was partly glad he didn’t follow me up but another part of me was hurt that he didn’t.

I heard someone knocking on the door but I ignored it. I stripped out of my clothes and got in the shower. I turned it up to make it as hot as it could get before sitting down and bringing my knees to my chest. I got consumed in my thoughts and let my demons take control of my mind.

I stayed like that for two hours before finally washing up and getting out. I put on a sports bra and spandex shorts and got in bed. I layer there for a few minutes before deciding to go workout.

I was in the basement working out for three hours. I stopped after breaking the third punching bag when I finally started getting tired. I went back upstairs and went to sleep.

I woke up at two in the morning in a cold sweat from another nightmare. I got in the shower and got dressed for school since I knew I wasn’t going back to sleep anytime soon.

I have a fight in two weeks so I need to start training with Noah and Kell to prepare for that everyday after school.

I go downstairs and fix myself a protein shake. I drink it and feed Paco and Rogue. They’ve gotten huge since we got them and I put them in training last week.

I watched tv and checked my emails and messages for the remaining few hours till Kell and Noah came down dressed and ready to go.

We get to school and park in the same place as last time. We talk until it’s time to get to class and we rush off.

The day was going by mostly normal until it was lunch time when I got a message from Kyle one of my friends and also a gang leader. I have to leave school and meet up with him so I go and find Kell and Noah to let them know.

I walk in the cafeteria and everyone turns and stares. I roll my eyes and look around to see if I can spot Kell and Noah. I see them in the far corner and walk over to them.

“I have to leave early Kyle texted and asked to meet up.” I tell them as soon as I get to them.

“We’ll come with you just let us get our things.” Kell says but I stop her.

“No unfortunately you all have to sit this one out.” I say and they look at me like I’m crazy.

“Rae I don’t trust him there’s no way in hell that I’m going to leave you alone with him.” Kell says and I roll my eyes.

“Calm down Kell I know how to take care of myself and you know I can easily whoop his ass.” I say and she sighs and nods. Noah looks concerned but knows better than to voice his opinion. I nod at them and walk away.

I walk down the hall and as I’m about to exit I see Lucas making out with Veronica down a different hall way. I snort and shake my head.

“And you want me to think you wouldn’t hurt me when you already are.” I say and he looks up at me. He looks panicked but before he can say or do anything I sigh and walk out.

My heart is breaking but I ignore it and get in my car and drive off. I see Lucas run out of the school and try to get to my car but I just speed off and start heading towards where I’m supposed to meet up with Kyle.

I get to the area twenty minutes later and see Kyle with about ten of his men waiting for me by his car. I get out after parking and walk towards him.

“What was so important I had to leave school?” I lash out and he holds his hands up in mock surrender. I roll my eyes and cross my arms.

He sighs and walks towards me until he directly in front of me. I grab my dagger from my thigh and put it against his chest.

“Back up there big bad wolf your in my space and you know how I feel about people being in my personal space.” I say and push the dagger a little and he backs up.

“Damn missed you too sweetheart.” He said sarcastically and I roll my eyes. I put the dagger back in it’s holder on my thigh and cross my arms.

“What’s up why’d you call me here?” I ask and he smirks. “I need you to send a message to someone for me.” He said and I roll my eyes.

“Do I look like a f*****g messenger to you? No so find someone else to do that s**t for you.” I say and one of his men walks up that I haven’t seen before and slaps me.

I look at him like he’s crazy. “Don’t talk to the boss like that little girl or I’ll do more damage than slap you.” He says and I. Am. Pissed.

I walk towards him in slow predatory steps. “I’m not sure if your new here or not but if you strike me again I’ll put you on your ass do you understand?” I ask like I’m talking to a five year old and not a grown man.

He just busts out laughing so I punch him in his face and he stumbles back. “I asked you a f*****g question nothing I said was a joke.” I say harshly and he growls in anger. He starts walking towards me so I punch him again.

He falls and I don’t waste a second to land another hit. I straddle his waste and throw punch after punch. He lands a hit to my stomach and it took me by surprise causing me to stop and get off of him.

He takes the chance to grab me from behind and I panic as I start getting flash backs. I grab my knife and again and turn around and slap him in the head with the end of it knocking him out.

I start hyperventilating and getting angry because the flash backs wouldn’t stop. I grab my head and sit down on the ground beside him. After a few minutes they finally stop and I look up to see Kyle looking at me with concern. I roll my eyes and get up.

“Stop looking at me like that.” I say and put my knife back in the holder again.

“Anyways as I was saying I wanted you to give a message to someone for me because he owes me money and if you do it I’ll pay you. He’s dangerous but you can handle him.” He says and I think about it.

“Who is it you want me to deliver this massage to?” I ask and look up at him.

“His names Xander Williams.” Kyle says and hands me a file. I look through it and check all his information.

“He’s a street fighter? I’ve never met or heard of him before.” I say still looking at the file.

“That’s because he doesn’t go by that name in street fighting.” He said and I look through it some more and come across a picture of him. He’s f*****g hot I’m not even going to lie.

He has black hair that almost covers his eyes, green/blue eyes, his lips are medium in size, his nose is pierced, he has a sleeve tattoo, and he’s muscular. He’s very attractive but unfortunately I have to beat his ass.

“I see he’s recently moved here and he’s still in school which means I’ll be seeing him in school.” I say and look up at Kyle. He just shrugs and nods. I sigh and hand him the folder back.

“How much are you paying me if I do this?” I ask and he looks at me for a second.

“I’ll pay you twenty thousand if you go and knock some sense into him.” Kyle says and I nod.

“I’ll do it but how soon do you want that money?” I ask and he thinks about it.

“Tell our dear friend Xander he has two weeks to give me my money before I handle him myself.” Kyle says and I nod walking away.

I get home and change into black spandex shorts and a sports bra. I go into the basement and start working out. I work out for two hours when I hear Kell and Noah upstairs.

I go upstairs and find them in the kitchen. I fix myself a protein shake and tell them about what happened and what Kyle needed.

“He’s turning you into his dog Rae you need to tell him that you won’t do jobs for him anymore after this one.” Kell says and I roll my eyes.

“I can’t just do that Kell it’ll piss him off and he’ll try killing me and I get paid for it and paid good for your information.” I say and Kell shakes her head.

“I’m sorry but Kelly’s right. If you keep it up he’s going to get you deeper and deeper into his s**t then you won’t ever have a way out and it’s not like you can’t fight him.” Noah said and I started getting angry.

“It’s not that f*****g simple!” I yell and slam my fists down on the counter.

“Kyle has men that are so loyal to him they would die for him. I can’t just suddenly stop doing jobs for him and I can’t just kill him and expect for nobody to want pay back for the death of their friend, family, or boss.” I say and walk away not wanting to hear their s**t anymore.

I walk upstairs into my moms room and I lay down on her bed. She didn’t have work today so she was in there in her bed watching tv.

“I heard the fight downstairs sweetie.” She says and wipes the hair out of my face.

I sigh and turn towards her. “Please tell me you understand me.” I say and she nods.

“I understand both sides of the argument. Your friends are right that you need to get out of the situation your in but your also right that it isn’t that simple.” She says and I nod.

My mom always did try to make it so you seen from both sides. She never did go with one side she would make you look at the other person side too not just your own. I’m glad she helped me see their point too but now I feel guilty for lashing at them.

I hug her and thank her for helping me see both sides before going and looking for them. I see them on the couch downstairs and walk in and stand in front of them.

“I’m sorry I know you guys are just worried.” I say and look at the ground. They stand up and hug me. I stiffen for a second but I calm down and hug them back.

“It’s okay Rae Rae we understand that you can’t just leave and we’re sorry for pressuring you.” Noah says and I hug them tighter.

We sit down and watch a movie. In the middle of the movie Grace walks in and sits down. “Where have you been I haven’t seen you in like two days?” I ask curiously.

“Mind your business Rae Rae where I’ve been doesn’t concern you.” She says rudely. I stand up and move in front of her.

“You better watch your tone Grace I only asked where you were because I was concerned. You didn’t show up to the house for two days and I ask one question and you decide to be a b***h. f**k no. You can take your attitude somewhere else because you won’t get disrespectful with me when I’ve been nothing but good to you.” I say angrily.

She rolls her eyes and stands up. “Stop trying to act all big and bad just because you can afford s**t. I’m the older sister here so you better show some respect before I whoop your ass.” She says harshly and woah something is definitely going on with her because she’s never acted like this towards me before.

“One respect is earned not given. Two just because your the older sister doesn’t mean your stronger so you better show me some respect because I’m the one buying all of your s**t as of right now. Ever since I’ve been back I’ve given you everything you’ve wanted. If you keep up with this shitty attitude I’ll take it all back and you can take a bus to school. Now watch your tone before I put you in your place!” I yell and push her back down on the couch.

She stays silent and just stares at me for a second. “Your different Rae.” Is all she says before getting up and walking away. I’m confused by her words and her sudden attitude change.

I’m dealing with a lot of s**t right now that I just can’t deal with so I decide to have a few drinks. I walk out of the living room to the kitchen and grab a bottle of vodka.

I grab a cup and fill it up to the top not bothering to add juice or anything to the vodka. I start drinking it until the cups empty.

I decide to just drink out of the bottle. I walk upstairs into my room and grab a blunt. I light it up and take a few hits and set the bottle on my night stand as I put my back against the headboard.

Kell walks in and Noah follows behind her. We sit in a circle on my bed and pass the blunt around. I take a few gulps out of the bottle before Kell takes it from me and takes a drink.

We just sit there and talk about random things avoiding the real things we need to talk about. My phones starts to ring so we all go quiet and I check to see who’s calling.

It’s Jace but I don’t even remember trading numbers with him. Whatever. I answer and nobody is talking on the other end.

“Um hello? Jace why did you call?” I asked but again nobody answered. This is starting to get weird.

“Rae? Can you please come and help me? Lucas has lost his s**t and he’s throwing things around and he’s drunk.” He says and I roll my eyes.

“Why don’t you ask Veronica for help I mean if he can suck her face off and f**k her I’m sure he’ll calm down and go f**k her.” I say and my heart starts to throb a little.

“He’s been talking about you the whole time he’s been throwing s**t around.” He says and I’m confused.

“Why’s he talking about me? I’m not important to him.” I say and I hear Jace sigh.

“He’s been talking about how he hurt you and now you won’t answer his calls or texts.” He says and I’m confused.

I check my phone and see twelve missed calls and twenty messages from Lucas.

I sigh into the phone before bringing it back to my ear. “Where are you I’m on my way?” I ask and after he gives me the address I get up and head out the door.

“Rae you’ve been drinking too much and you’re high you shouldn’t be driving.” Kell says but I just ignore her and get in my car.

I back out of the drive way and follow the directions the gps is giving me. I get distracted in my thoughts and don’t realize I went into the wrong lane until it’s too late.

I collide with the other car and I go flying forward since I forgot about my seatbelt and go crashing through my windshield when everything goes black.
