First day

“What’s wrong don’t remember me?” I ask and stand up and walk over to her. She gulps but looks confused. “No why would I remember you? Who the f**k are you?” She asks making me laugh crazily and she shivers.

“Well ex bestie your the one who took my boyfriend and called the cops on me.” I say and recognition flashes through her eyes. “I knew you’d be back and I’d get to have fun with you.” She says smirking evilly. “Oh trust me babe, I’ll be the one having the fun.” I say and walk away. Kell and Noah follows behind me snickering at the fact that they know what I could do to her. People are staring and whispering but I ignore them and walk up to the front desk. “Hi, I’m Rae De’Luca I’m new can I get my schedule?” I ask politely to the front desk lady and she smiles hand all of us our schedules. We huddle close seeing if we have any classes together and we see we have most of our classes together. I have first, second, third, fourth, and seventh with them. They have first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and seventh together.

“Let’s go find our lockers.” I say and we start looking for them and surprisingly our lockers are side by side. We put our things in there when someone shuts my locker and almost get me fingers.

“Never thought I would see you again little Rae Rae.” Riley says mockingly making me angry. “Don’t f*****g start on me today Riley. I may have let you walk all over me back then but I won’t stand for it anymore, I’ve had enough of your s**t and if you try to shut my fingers in my locker again I’ll make you regret it.” I say and she looks shocked. Three of her friends pop up behind her and she’s back to being confident.

“b***h please I’d like to see you try. Your nothing but a weak fat little bitch.” She says with a smirk. I lift up my shirt and then I lift up hers. “I wouldn’t say I’m the fat one here babe.” I say and punch her stomach and drop both of our shirts. She looks shocked but quickly shakes it off. “Whatever your still a weak scared little girl.” She says and I decide I’ve had enough of her s**t. I punch her in the face and kick one of her friends and grab the other two slamming their heads together knocking the out. Her friend comes charging at me again and I punch her so hard in the face the passes out. Riley stands up with a bloody nose and angry as f**k. I decide to tease her a little bit and make her angrier. A crowd starts to form and a bunch of people are videoing.

“Well damn now you don’t have your friends to help you out. They’re actually pretty f*****g weak honestly.” I say and this makes her angrier she comes charging at me but right before her punch reaches my face I duck down and kick her feet out from under her making her fall and hit her head. She gets back up and tries again but I move out the way and push her to the ground again. I do this a few more times when I finally get bored and just knock her out. The teachers come running over finally seeing the fight and send me to the principals office. I shrug and walk away.

I get to the principals office and see there’s already a guy in there so I go to walk out but the principal stops me. “Have a seat miss De’Luca.” He says causing the guy to sit down look back at me confused. I sit down and I recognize him as the guy that complimented my motorcycle. “Miss De’Luca you haven’t even been here more than an hour and your already getting into fights.” The principal says scolding me. “Now I know Riley started it so you only have detention for a week with our little friend Lucas here.” As soon as he says that I tense up and turn to look at the guy he just called Lucas. It can’t possibly be my Lucas could it? I ask myself.

He turns to me “What’s your first name?” He asks sounding bored and rude as f**k. “My names Rae Lynn De’Luca.” I say in a careless tone because this guy is rude as f**k. Recognition flashes through his eyes and I instantly know this is my Lucas. He shrugs it off and pretends like he doesn’t know me. It hurt but I won’t let that show on my face. “Good to see you again too Lucas.” I say emotionless and turn back to the principal. “Why the f**k do I have detention when the b***h and her friends started it?” I ask angrily and the principal gets angry at my language. “Miss De’Luca you should be happy it’s only a week.” He says clearly angry. I shoot up out of my chair startling both of them.

“You know what f**k this s**t I’m leaving.” I say and leave ignoring the principal calling for me. I go to my first period and as soon as I enter everyone is staring at me. “Miss De’Luca your late.” The teacher says putting her hand on her hip. “No s**t Sherlock.” I say and some of the students laugh but I stay emotionless. “Watch your mouth young lady and go take a seat.” She says and I roll my eyes and walk over to the empty seat in front of my friends.

“What did the principal say?” Kell asks

“I have after school detention for a whole week.” I say and shrug. “That’s all?” Kell says shocked and I nod.

“Is there something you want to share with us Miss De’Luca?” The teacher asks and I’m starting to get annoyed.

“Yeah you should do your job and stop focusing so much on what I’m doing.” I say and she’s angry now. “Get out of my classroom now!” She yells and I stay where I’m sitting. “Nah I’m good.” I say and this pisses her off even more. “Miss De’Luca don’t think your special just because your new here. You’ve already got into a fight. You don’t want to get into more trouble.” She says angrily and I shoot up out of my chair causing it to fall to the floor and startling everyone. “Yes I know I’m already in a lot of trouble because those stupid bitches started s**t. Don’t think your special because your a f*****g teacher. I don’t give a s**t about who you are if you keep starting s**t we’re going to have a problem!” I yell and she shuts up and goes back to working on the board. I sit back down after picking up my chair.

A few minutes later someone walks in and I look up to see it’s Lucas. There’s no other seats but the one next to me and he starts walking over. A bunch of the girls are drooling over him but I just roll my eyes and put my head back down to fall asleep. He sits down and I feel him staring at me. I look up and we make eye contact. “Do you need something?” I ask annoyed and he doesn’t say anything. I get sick of him just sitting there looking at me so I get up and walk out of class. Today really isn’t my f*****g day. I go into the girls bathroom and bump into someone. They turn to me and it’s Cassidy. I get ready to fight with her again but surprisingly she just walks out. I start smoking a joint leaning against the wall when I hear someone walking in. I don’t bother looking up since I figure it’s one of the girls. I see someone towering over me and open my eyes. Lucas is looking down at me and even though I’m surprised I don’t let it show on my face. I take another hit from my joint when he takes it out of my hand and hits it. I try walking away but he grabs my arm and pulls me back against the wall. I look up at him with confusion clear on my face. He doesn’t say anything just hits the joint again so I take it and hit it too. We just stand there not saying anything for a few more minutes. I blow the smoke in his face and pull out of his grip and walk out not caring that I still have a joint in my hand. I hear walking behind me but don’t bother to turn back. Lucas grabs my arm again and makes me turn towards him.

“What do you want?” I yell getting angry. He stays calm and waits for me to calm down. “Your way different.” He says looking at me as if he’s trying to figure me out. “No shit.” I say and try to walk away again but he doesn’t let go of me. “What happened to you?” He asks and I nearly break down in front of him. “Nothing just leave me alone. I’m not the only one who changed.” I say and try to pull away again but he doesn’t let me go.

“You used to be so sweet and happy.” He says and it makes me sad. “No I just stopped pretending to be happy and I stopped being sweet because when your sweet to people they take that opportunity to walk all over you.” I say and finally get out of his grip and walk away. The bell rings but I don’t bother to try to hide the joint in my hand as everyone starts walking out. A teacher sees me and tries to stop me but I ignore her and go back to my first period to grab my stuff.

I walk in and everyone in there looks at me shocked. The teacher tries to send me to the principals office but I just flip her off, grab my stuff, and walk out. I walk outside and go towards my car. I put my stuff in and just set in my car finishing my joint and trying to calm down. When I finally calm down I go back inside and go to my third period since I sat in my car all through second.

It turns out Grace is in my third period and as soon as she sees me she shoots up out of her seat and jumps into my arms. I’m holding her while she hugs and sobs on me. Everyone is staring but I just ignore them. When she calms down I sit her down on her feet. “When did you get back?” She asks “Yesterday I’ll be driving you home today.” I tell her and she looks shocked. “We don’t have a car how do you plan on driving me home?” She asks confused. “I got a car now let’s sit down we’re making a scene.” I say and she nods and makes me sit next to her and my friends sit behind me.

It’s almost the end of seventh period and I decide to just not pay attention since I already know what the teacher is teaching but he decides to call me out. “Miss De’Luca I’m assuming that since your not paying attention you already know what I’m teaching.” He says trying to embarrass me but I nod. “Yeah and it’s boring as f**k in here since I already know this.” I say setting my phone down and crossing my arms over my chest.

“Well since you apparently know this already how about you come up here and solve this problem.” My algebra teacher says and I nod and walk up there. After I finish the problem he looks at me shocked. “So you actually did know the problem.” He says and I roll my eyes. “No s**t Sherlock. I’m not a liar and I’d appreciate it if next you teach instead of trying to embarrass me.” I say and grab my stuff and leave with Kell and Noah following behind me.

“Damn your first day and your already in big trouble. Smoking joints, getting in fights, walking out of class, and fighting with the teacher. This is going to be an interesting year.” Noah says amused. “Noah that’s not funny she’s getting in a lot of trouble for no reason.” Kell says and turns to me. “You need to control your temper Rae. You can’t fight everyone that pisses you off. When you fight your showing your skills and we don’t know if there’s any gang leaders or under ground fighters here. You need to calm down before you get caught.” Kell says scolding me. I understand her point but I don’t want to listen to her s**t so I just nod and walk away. They know I’ve had a really shitty day so they just let me walk off.

I go outside and see Lucas making out with one of Riley’s friends. I’m not going to lie, it hurts seeing him make out with a girl who was one of the people that made my life hell. I walk to my car and start the engine. This catches their attention and they turn towards me. I ignore them and wait for Grace to come out of school. I text her where she can find me and when she sees my car she’s shocked. Everyone is looking at my car and some try walking up to me until they see I’m glaring at them. Grace walks over to me and starts asking a bunch of questions. “How in the hell can you afford this? Why didn’t you tell me about this? Did mom suddenly get rich or something? I was only gone one day!” She says all in one breath. “Damn Grace calm down. I’ll tell you what you need to know and the rest I’ll tell you in time. No mom didn’t suddenly get rich, I paid for this. It’s not important how I can afford this. You have a car waiting for you at home but right now we need to go so we can go pick up the puppies.” I say and she squeals. “Puppies!” She screams and jumps into the car. I get in and smirk at her. “Buckle up this is going to be a crazy ride.” I tell her and blast my music and put my glasses on before speeding off out of the school parking lot.

“Slow down Rae!” She yells but I just speed up lost in my thoughts. I pull out of them when she turns my music down. I turn to her. “Don’t touch my radio.” I say and turn it back up. She rolls her eyes but doesn’t try to turn it back down. We both start screaming the lyrics to the song and a few minutes later we arrive at the breeders house.

I text him that I’m outside and a few seconds later I see a middle aged man walk outside with two cane corso puppies. Grace squeals and claps and I get out of the car. “Your Rae write?” He asks and I nod.

“Are these the puppies?” I ask and he nods. The puppies are black and one of them has bright blue eyes and the other has honey brown. I smile and Grace comes running out the car. “Puppies!” She yells and tries to pet one but it hides away from her. “Grace calm down your scaring the puppies.” I scold her and she calms down. “I have the money just take them over to the car.” I tell him and he looks at me suspiciously. “If your worried I’m trying to trick you I’ll wait away from the car.” I say and he nods. “I unlock the car and he sits the puppies in the passenger seat and walks back over to me. I hand him the money and he counts it. “You gave me more than I asked for.” He says and I nod. “Yeah that was on purpose. Thank you for the beautiful puppies. Have a nice day bye.” I say and he thanks me and I got back in the car.

The puppies come into my lap and falls asleep so I don’t drive as fast so they don’t fall out of my lap. Grace pouts because the puppies are scared of her. “Don’t be upset Grace you just startled them a little they’ll warm up to you in no time.” I tell her and she smiles at me. “Have you decided on names yet?” She asks and I nod. “Yes the one with the blue eyes is Rogue and the one with honey brown eyes is Paco.” I say and she nods. “I like those names.” She says and I nod.

When we get to the gate of the house Grace looks confused. “Rae this isn’t our house.” She says and I look at her. “I forgot to tell you I bought us a new house.” I say and her mouth falls open. We make it in the gate and mom is already waiting outside. Grace is excited about the house and her car and basically everything. It’s kind of funny watching her reaction. I put the puppies down and get out of the car. They stay at my feet and I already know I will be their favorite. I already ordered everything they needed the night before and had someone bring it to the house so I don’t have to worry about that.

“Hey honey how was school?” She asks and I sigh. “It was pretty shitty but it’s not like I was expecting to have a good first day.” I say and she nods. “How about you Grace how was your day?” She asks and Grace smiles. “My sister came home, I find out she bought me a car, she got puppies, we have a nice house, and my sister is badass. My day is going f*****g great!” She exclaims making me and mom laugh. Kell and Noah pulls in a few minutes later while we’re all sitting outside playing with the puppies. Kell and Noah walks over smiling. “Good to see your in a better mood.” Kell says. “Puppies!” Noah exclaims making all of us laugh. “Sorry we never got to properly introduce ourselves. I’m Kelly but everyone calls me Kell and this weirdo beside me is Noah.” She says and hugs Grace. “I’m not a f*****g weirdo bitch.” Noah says and mom scolds him for his language. “Sorry mama bear.” Noah says and mom smiles. “Oh my god are you guys living here too?” Grace asks getting excited. They nod and she squeals. “We’re all going to be the best of friends.” Grace says. “Oh and Rae is it okay if I have a friend come over?” She asks. “Don’t ask me this is moms house.” I say and mom looks at me. “No it isn’t this is your house.” She says “Your still our mom so you get to make the rules.” I say and she nods. “It’s fine with me.” Mom says and Grace squeals again. “You can go in and check out the house, your rooms upstairs to the right all the way at the end of the hall.” I say and she takes off inside. “Ma I’m thinking of throwing a party this weekend so don’t freak out if you see a bunch of people coming in.” I say and she nods.

“Do you need me to go and buy the alcohol?” She asks and I nod. I hand her three hundred dollars and she grabs her keys after I tell her what to buy.

“Your mom is so chill about everything. I love her so much!” Noah says making me and Kell laugh. The puppies run over to me and I tell them the names I picked and they both like the names I picked too.

“Do you guys want to go to the club tonight?” I ask and they agree instantly.

“I’m going to go take a nap and when I wake up we’ll start getting ready.” I say and the puppies follow me to my room. I lay down and they jump up on the bed and cuddle into me and we fall asleep.

I wake up at seven and start getting ready since I made reservations at one of the clubs at eight. I get up and get in the shower after picking out my outfit. I dry my hair and brush my teeth then do my makeup. I do my eyebrows, a little eyeliner, mascara, and I decide to do some red lip stick. I put my black skirt on and it has a slit close to my hip and then my red crop top and my black leather jacket. I don’t like heals so I stick with my black vans. I walk to Kell’s room to see if she’s ready yet but when I open the door I see her and Noah making out. “What. The. Fuck.” I say with shock all over my face. They quickly pull away and look at me guiltily. “Let me explain Rae.” Kell says but I shut the door before she can say anything. I walk back to my room still in shock. I had a feeling something was going on between them but I always thought they would tell me if there was.

It doesn’t bother me that they’re together but it does that they hid it from me. Kell walks in and I look up at her without emotion on my face because I don’t want her to see how much it hurt that they hid it from me.

“Rae please let me explain.” Kell says “There’s nothing to explain. You guys have been sleeping together and you didn’t tell me. It doesn’t bother me that you guys are together, it bothers me that you hid it from me.” I say and look down. Kell gets on her knees between my legs and looks up at me. “I know we hurt you and we are truly sorry Rae. We were just scared that you wouldn’t approve of us being together.” She says and I understand but it still hurt that they kept it from me. “I understand but that doesn’t mean I’m not hurt that you hid it.” I say and she nods.

“I’m truly sorry Rae and we won’t hide anything from you anymore.” She says and I smile at her. “Okay but I swear if you hide anything else from me I’m going to kill both of you.” I say seriously and she nods and gulps. “I hope you guys are ready because we need to go.” I say and she laughs “Yes we’re ready.” She says and I nod.

“Come on guys we have to be there before eight.” I say and we leave the house.

We make it there at 7:48pm and we are let in early. It’s loud in the club but it’s nothing we aren’t used to.

“I’m going to get a drink take my stuff to our booth.” I say to Kell and she takes my stuff. I walk over to the bar and ask for two vodka shots. The bartender doesn’t even bother asking for my ID. I quickly drink them down and ask for gin and tonic. After I get my drink I go to the dance floor and start dancing.

Im almost finished with my cup when I feel someone put their hands on my waist. I don’t bother looking who it is since I’m too into the music.

After the song ends I turn around to see who it is I’m dancing with and see the last person I expected.
