Lucas’s POV

I get off of the bus and see a really expensive sports car pull into our schools parking lot. Why are they here instead of at a rich private school? I ask myself. A familiar looking girl steps out of the car and she’s hot as f**k. “Hey baaabe!” I hear the scratchy voice before I see her. Veronica one of Riley’s friends walks over to me. I’ve been f*****g her recently and now she thinks we’re some kind of couple or something. I don’t like her like that. In fact I don’t even f*****g like her. She’s good in bed so I’ve been sleeping with her but I’m getting sick of her s**t. “Why didn’t you text or call me after last night?” She asks loudly trying to get all the girls to hear her. I roll my eyes “I’ve already told you that we aren’t a thing so I don’t have to call you.” I say and she pouts. “Why can’t we be anything?” She asks and I get annoyed “I don’t do relationships I’ve already told you this.” I say and walk away from her. I see the girl outside smoking and I can’t seem to look away from her she looks so familiar.

I get in trouble for smoking a joint outside of the school again and end up in the principals office again. I hear people shouting fight in the halls and girls screaming. A few minutes later I hear the principals door open. “Come inside Miss De’Luca.” The principal tells her. I turn around because why the f**k is Grace in here. When I turn around it isn’t Grace though. It’s the girl I seen earlier this morning. The principal says something else but I don’t hear him.

Holy f*****g s**t it’s Rae Graces sister! I don’t hear anything else the principal says since I’m focused on Rae. She’s clearly pissed of by what he says and storms out. She’s changed a lot. She used to be so happy and sweet. She also lost weight. She looks good but I wonder what happened to her for her to become so tough and angry. After the principal warns me that this is my last chance before he does something extreme I’m sent back to class. I walk in and Rae is fighting with the teacher. The only seat open is by Rae so I go and sit next to her. She has her head down but after a few minutes of looking at her she looks up and sees me staring. She says something but I don’t hear what it is. She storms out of the class and I follow behind a few minutes later. I go into the girls bathroom and see her smoking a joint. I stand in front of her and she opens her eyes to look at me. She asks me something but I don’t answer her.

She tries to walk away but I catch her by the arm and push her back against the wall. She takes another drag and blows the smoke in my face. I take the joint and hit it. We take turns hitting it and she walks out again. I grab her arm in the hallway and she gets pissed off. “What happened to you?” I ask and she tried to cover up the hurt in her eyes but I see right through her mask. “Nothing now leave me the f**k alone.” She says and tries to get out my grip but I don’t let her. “Use used to be so sweet and happy.” I say and she looks at me again. “No I pretending to be happy and I stopped being sweet because when your sweet to people they walk all over you.” She says and I understand “I’m not the only one who changed.” She adds and finally gets out my grip and walks away smoking the joint.

I pull Veronica outside near the end of seventh period and a few minutes later Rae comes storming out but I don’t pay attention to her. She gets in her car and starts the engine catching our attention.

“Is that the b***h Rae?” Veronica asks pissing me off because she called her a b***h. “Don’t talk about her like that, do you understand me.” I say and she nods quickly not wanting to anger me even though I would never put my hands on a girl. “Good now go away.” I say and she quickly walks off. I walk back inside and talk with Grace for a few minutes before she tells me she has to go because she’s going with Rae to go pick up some puppies. I nod get my stuff out my locker and go to the gym to workout.

I decide to go to the club later tonight and hang out with my best friend Jace until then.

“Hey dude what’s up.” He says when I get to his house.

“Hey you didn’t go to school today, why?” I ask “My last fight left me hurt pretty bad so I’m giving them time to heal.” He says

I met Jace at one of my fights. He was the person I was fighting that night and after we instantly clicked.

“How long you plan on skipping school?” I ask and he shrugs “Probably only today.” He says and I roll my eyes. “I’m going to the club tonight, you want to go?” I ask and he nods. “I could use a few drinks so why not.” He says and we just hang out talking about our upcoming fights and he asks me about the new girl because apparently nobody notices her except a few of us.

“Who’s the new girl?” Jace asks “Her names Rae and she has quite the temper. She’s Graces sister the one that was sent away a few years ago.” I say and he nods. “She got in a lot of trouble today and it was only her first day.” I say “What did she do?” He asks “You haven’t seen the fight video yet?” I ask and he shakes his head. I show him the video and he looks shocked. “She’s badass and clearly knows how to fight.” He says and nods in approval. “She was in a special military school, what did you expect?” I ask and laugh.

“I don’t know but she’s hot and fit as fuck.” He says and checks her out in the video. “Chill bro she isn’t someone you can f**k and leave behind.” I say and he rolls his eyes.

We hang out and smoke a few joints before we start getting ready. I wear black skinny jeans, a black T-shirt, and black sneakers.

“Are you ready yet?” I yell upstairs and he comes downstairs looking fresh. “Yeah get your panties out of a twist.” He says and we head out and get into my black RAM truck.

We get to the club at eight and I see Rae on the dance floor as soon as I walk in. I get a drink and quickly drink it down and head out for the dance floor.

Rae’s POV

I turn around and see the last person I expected. Lucas is standing there looking at me and I try to walk away but he pulls me back into him and I smack my head off of his hard muscly chest.

“What do you want.” I ask and look up at him. He doesn’t say anything just leans down and hugs me. I hug him back even though I’m confused. “I’ve missed you princess.” He says shocking me because one he sounds hot as f**k with his deep husky voice and two because he barely talked to me earlier today at school. I pull away from him.

“You seen me at school today and barely even talked to me.” I say “I was shocked to see you again and see how much you’ve changed.” He says and I melt but then remember he made out with a girl that made my life hell. “You made out with Veronica and you know how she treated me in the past.” I say trying to hide the sadness in my tone. When I realize he doesn’t say anything I walk away. I order four shots of tequila. I take all of them as fast as I can. “Damn careful babe you’ll get sick.” I hear a guy say behind me. I turn around and see a tall muscular guy with black hair and deep blue eyes. He’s tall and attractive but not as tall and attractive as Lucas. I push Lucas out of my thoughts and look back up at the guy in front of me.

“I’m not some weak girl that can’t handle her alcohol so I think I’ll be okay.” I say and turn back to the bartender and order another round of shots. The guy comes to stand beside me but I just ignore him and down my shots. “I’m Jace.” He says and holds out his hand for me to shake. I turn to him “I’m Rae” I say and shake his hand. He smirks “Nice to meet you pretty lady.” He says and I smirk. “Yeah it’s nice to meet you too.” I say and order the strongest they got. After the bartender gives me my drink I turn to him again. “It was nice talking to you but I need to go find my friends.” I say and walk away. I go and find Kell and Noah making out in the booth. “Get a room bitches.” I say and take a drink from my cup. They pull away and I hear Noah mutter about me cockblocking him. I roll my eyes. “I just ran into a guy from my past so now I’m going to drink until I can’t walk straight.” I say and chug the rest of my drink. I’m already tipsy so it won’t take long before I’m drunk off my ass. “Kell come dance!” I say and pull her with me to the dance floor before she says anything. I start dancing to the music and take Kell’s cup and drink it too. I’m swaying my hips when I feel someone pull me against their chest and I look up and see the guy from earlier behind me holding me against him. I lean back into him and grind against him.

“Your so hot babe.” He says into my ear and I laugh lightly. The next thing I know I’m being pulled away from him and thrown over someone’s shoulder. I pound on their back. “Put me the f**k down!” I yell. “Not happening princess.” Lucas says and I freeze for a second. “Lucas what the f**k!” I yell and starting swinging my legs and hitting his back. “Put me the f**k down!” I yell and he just ignores me. He slaps my ass “Calm down princess.” He says and I’m shocked so I stay quiet. He takes me to the employee’s bathroom and sits me on the counter and moves between my legs. “What the hell were you doing dancing with him princess?” He asks in his deep husky voice. “I can dance with whoever I f*****g want Lucas!” I yell and his eyes darken. “Not. Him.” He says clearly getting angry. “Why the f**k not?” I ask and he sighs. “He’s my friend and he only wants to f**k you.” He says and I roll my eyes. “Who says I don’t want to f**k him?” I ask just to see his reaction. His eyes darken even more and he pulls me against him. I can feel his erection through his pants but I try to ignore it. “I do and I won’t let you get hurt by him.” He says and I try pushing back away from him but it causes me to grind against him. He groans and it’s possibly the hottest sound I’ve ever heard.

“Lucas please leave me alone.” I say and push him back. I jump off of the counter and walk out of the bathroom. I get back to the booth and grab a joint out of my bag. I light it up and start smoking. I pass it to Kell and she takes a few drags and passes it to Noah so we just sit there and pass it around until it’s gone. “I’m going for another drink.” I say and walk away before they say anything.

I get another strong drink and drink it down before ordering tequila shots. When I finish my shots I’m drunk off my mind and high. I call Grace and ask her to come pick me up and after we get off of the phone I go to tell Kell and Noah. They say they’re going to stay a little longer and I leave when Grace texts me that she’s outside. She drives me back in my car since I’m too drunk to drive.

I change and fall asleep instantly. I forgot that I have school the next day and when it’s time to wake up I dread it. I end up sleeping past my alarm and wake up to Paco licking my face while Rogue continues to sleep beside me.

I get up and take a shower to get rid of the smell of alcohol. I get dressed quickly and leave for school since everyone is already gone.

It’s third period by the time I get to school and nobody says anything to me because they can tell I’m in a bad mood. I fall asleep and the teacher tries to wake me up but stops when she realizes I’m not going to listen. Noah works up the courage to wake me up so we can go to fourth period and he actually succeeds.

It’s lunch time and I’ve slept through the two periods I’ve been here. We’re at the table in the corner of the room and eating when Riley comes in with her friends and they all have bandages on their noses. I roll my eyes when I see her walking over here. I put my head down because it still hurts from my hangover. “Hey you w***e nobody told you to come back and f**k everything up.” Riley says and what the f**k is this fifth grade? “Go the f**k away unless you want more than a broken nose.” I say getting pissed. She ignores me and tries to start something else but I just ignore her. I see Lucas and Jace walk in and now they’re both staring over here just like everyone else.

“You know it’s kind of sad that your so lonely now that your daddy is dead and your mommy is always busy at work so she can pay the bills. Do you want some money so you can afford a better house than that disgusting apartment you live in.” She says pressing my buttons. I start to shake from anger but I try to calm myself down. “Oh now she’s about to cry because she’s weak and scared.” She says and I’ve had enough. I shoot up out of my chair and jump over the table as soon as I reach her I punch her in the nose again and suck as one of her friends tries to hit me. I grab her friend by the wrist and twist it behind their back breaking it. Veronica comes charging at me and tries to kick me but I grab her leg and make her fall. Kell tries to tell me to stop as I get on top of Riley and start punching her over and over as she screams. Riley lands a hit to my nose and it starts bleeding. Someone picks me up and I start laughing crazily. “I’ll f*****g kill you b***h!” I yell and spit blood at her. Lucas flips me over his shoulder and carries me away into the girls bathroom and sits me on the counter.

“Calm down princess.” He says as I try to get out of his grip. I calm down and he gets a wet paper towel and starts wiping the blood from my nose. I let him and just lay back against the mirror. When he finishes wiping my nose he hugs me to his chest. “Princess why are you always getting into fights?” He asks and I shrug. “Because they always piss me off.” I say and pull away so I can jump down. “Thank you for taking care of me but I’m probably just going to leave school.” I say and walk out.

I grab my keys and wallet from my locker and turn to walk away when I bump into a hard muscly chest. I look up and see Lucas looking down at me. “I said I’m leaving early so you should probably go to class.” I say and he shakes his head. “Is it alright if I go with you?” He asks and at first I hesitate but quickly give in because it’s Lucas I’m not worried. “Okay where do you want to go?” I ask and he shrugs “Anywhere honestly.” He says and I nod.

I drive us back to my house and when he sees our house his mouth drops open. “Shut it before a fly goes in.” I joke and he smirks. I park in the garage and we go inside up to my room.

“Want to smoke on the balcony?” I ask and he shrugs. We go out and sit on the chairs beside each other. “Your rolling it.” I say and he nods. “Why did you want to go home with me?” I ask and he looks at me. “We haven’t been able to actually hang out since you’ve been back and I’ve missed you.” He says and I nod. “I’m sorry I’ve been such an asshole to you recently.” I say and he nods “It’s fine honestly, I get it.” He says and I smile at him. Paco and Rouge run out on the balcony and jump into my lap.

“Cute dogs.”he says and I smile again. “I know right? I’m so happy I got them. They’re the best to cuddle with I swear.” I say showing some of my personality but when I realize it I try to go back into my shell. “Done!” He yells happily and I laugh.

We smoke it and start talking about random s**t. “Want to go downstairs and drink?” I ask and he nods. We walk downstairs and I fill both our cups up with vodka and add some juice. “Cheers” I say and we clink our cups. We drink it down and I refill our cups.

“Let’s play a drinking game.” I suggest and he agrees I grab the vodka and juice and we go back upstairs.

“Truth or Dare?” I ask as soon as we get settled on my bed. He laughs “So we’re playing fifth grade games now?” He asks amused and I just push him lightly. “Truth” he finally says and I think about it. “Why did you change?” I ask and he looks confused for a second but realizes what I meant.

“Got tired of everyone pushing me around and making fun of me so I changed how I did things. I still keep good grades but my physical appearance changed a lot.” He says answering my question. “How does this involve drinking?” He asks. “Well you have to drink when you don’t want to answer the question and if you do the other person has to drink.” I say because me, Kell, and Noah used to play this game all the time. He nods and I take a drink. “Truth or Dare?” He asks. “Dare” I say and he thinks about it for a second. “I dare you to take five drinks straight from the bottle.” He says and I do it. “Truth or Dare?” I ask “Dare” he says and smirks. “I dare you to get a tattoo.” I say and he smirks. “What kind of tattoo?” He asks and I think about it. “The name of the girl you hate the most.” I say and he drinks because he doesn’t want her name on him. “Truth or Dare?” He asks “Dare” I say and smirk. “I dare you to kiss me.” He says and I lean in and act like I’m going for his lips then move over and kiss his cheek. He looks at me shocked and I just smirk.

“Want to do something fun?” I ask him and he nods. Both of us are drunk and high but we don’t care. “Let’s play chicken.” I say and he looks confused. “You want to go out on the side of the road and run in front of cars as they get close?” He asks and I shake my head laughing. “No that’s a different game.” I say and laugh harder. “Chicken is where you each make one move on the other person and see who moves away first.” I say and he nods.

We sit cross cross in front of each other and Lucas makes the first move. He uncrosses my legs and put them on his lap. I spread his legs and move closer to him. He puts his hands on my ass. I scoot into his lap so I’m straddling him.

He groans and slides his hands up my shirt and rests them on my ribs.

I get off of his lap and smirk. His boner is showing through his pants but I ignore it and walk out. I go downstairs and sit on one of the couches and start playing with Rogue and Paco. He comes downstairs a few minutes later looking confused.

“Why’d you leave?” He asks looking at me frustrated.

Honestly I didn’t want things to go too far and get attached to him so I walked out but I’m not going to tell him that. “I’m the chicken.” I say and look down at his boner then back up and he’s staring at me. f**k he caught me looking!

I blush and he laughs. He walks over to me and sits beside me. I grab the remote and turn to him. “Want to watch something?” I ask and he just stares for a second.

“Hello? Earth to Lucas!” I say and wave my hand in his face. He catches my wrist and a flash back to that night pops in my head. I start to shake but I remember it’s just Lucas and I calm myself down.

“Are you okay?” He asks and let’s go of my wrist. I nod but I can’t look him in the face. I feel dirty and used every time I remember what happened to me that night.

“I’m fine don’t worry about it.” I say and my voice shakes a little but if he noticed he doesn’t show it.

“What do you want to watch?” I ask trying to change the subject. He catches on and jus shrugs. “Anything it doesn’t matter to me. But none of that girly shit.” He says and I laugh.

I play Barbie just to piss him off and he groans and rolls his eyes. I keep it on for a few more minutes but even I can’t stand it so I change it. A horror movie starts to play and I get interested and he doesn’t complain.

Thirty minutes into the movie I need to pee but I’m scared. I look over at him and he’s looking at the tv. “I need to pee.” I say and he turns his head to look at me.

“That’s good to know.” He says sarcastically and I whine. “I’m f*****g scared!” I whine and he rolls his eyes. “I’m not going into the bathroom with you.” He says and I huff. “You don’t have to go in you can just stand outside of the door or something. Please!” I say and he groans but I already know he’s going to give in.

“Fine but don’t take forever in there.” He says and I roll my eyes. We get up and he follows me to the bathroom. He stops outside and I go pee. When I’m washing my hands he starts banging on the door screaming and it scares the s**t out of me.

I scream and jump in the air and I can hear him outside laughing at me. “Haha that scared the s**t out of you!” He says still laughing and I roll my eyes. “You f*****g scared me bitch.” I say and he keeps laughing I huff and walk away.

He controls his laughter and follows. We get to the living room when he gets a text on his phone. “I got to go I’ll see you at school tomorrow.” He says and I’m pretty sure it’s Veronica but I’m not going to say anything. I just nod and walk him to the door and open the gate to let him out. I shut the gate when he’s gone and go to take a nap.

Kell and Noah comes barging in my room and I don’t understand what they’re saying since I’m still trying to wake up. I check the time and it’s 7:00pm. “Why the hell are you guys waking me up?” I ask grumpily. Kell rolls her eyes. “Aren’t you throwing a party tomorrow?” She asks and I remember it’s Friday. I look back at them “I have to have mom buy more alcohol we don’t have enough yet.” I say and get up to go ask her to buy more. I check her room and she isn’t in there so I go downstairs and I see her sitting in the living room. “Hey mom can you go and buy more alcohol? I don’t think we’ll have enough for tomorrow.” I ask and she looks confused.

“Rae I just bought four bottles of vodka, four bottles of tequila, three six packs of beer, seven bottles of juice, and four bottles of whiskey.” She says and I look at her guiltily. “I may or may not have been drinking it.” I say looking down and she sighs.

“Okay what do you need me to buy?” She asks and my face lights up. “I only drank two bottles of the vodka but we need way more since there will be a lot of people. So I need you to get five more bottles of vodka, seven more of tequila, six bottles of Jagermeïster, three more six packs, and four more bottles of whiskey.” I say and brag a bunch of cash out of my pocket and hand it to her. She nods and heads out to get it.

I walk to Graces room and after I knock I walk in. “Hey can you help me get everything ready for the party tomorrow?” I ask and she looks up from her phone.

“Your throwing a party?” She asks getting excited. “Yeah but I don’t know if I want it to be a pool party or what because I don’t want people to throw up in the pool.” I say and she thinks about it. “I wouldn’t do a pool party because it’ll be hard to clean up.” She says and I nod. “Want to go with me to get food and cups?” I ask and she nods. We put our shoes on and go out.

I decide I don’t want to take my usual car since it doesn’t have enough space. “All of you cars barely have space let’s just take mine.” Grace says and I nod.

We get in and I hook my phone to her car and start blasting my music. Music comforts me and it’s been there for me more than anyone ever has so I’m always listening to music and blasting it even though it pisses everyone off.

We get to the store and I see the last person I ever wanted to see again.
