Chapter Eleven Keaton pulled out of the rental car company and onto the main street. As he turned the wheel to merge onto the highway, his gaze caught and held on the gold band on his left hand. What just happened? He recounted his steps for the day. He'd arrived at the Purple Heart Ranch. He'd met Dylan Banks. The two of them had toured the land. Keaton had driven next door and gotten hit by a bull. And now, he was married. The honking horn broke his reverie. Keaton slammed his foot on the brake. The action slowed the car, but not his racing pulse. He barely escaped the second collision. This time with an eighteen-wheeler instead of a bull.
