Jack’s private jeep car, somewhere in New York City.
It’s been two hours since she left her private hill house. Sonia must be looking crazily for her. And right on the point, when she just checks out her phone’s notification, and there she sees lots of text messages from her best friend.
Emilie sighs heavily for a second.
Jack glances at her almost immediately. “Is there something wrong?”
“Ugh, nothing, it’s just Sonia…” she mutters without taking her eyes off from the screen. Her fingers start typing quickly on the keyboard to reply her message.
“Emilie…” he whispers low to her ear.
Emilie slightly glances at him. But when she realizes that Jack has been staring deeply at her, and right at that second, she puts down her phone again.
“What?” she asks wonder
