Waking up

1305 Words
It's been two days since the shooting and no one knows who the shooter is as no one could get a clear look at them, they wasn't caught on the cameras either. Liam and Evie haven't left the hospital since the shooting, both of them just seeing Arden lie on the hospital bed is making knots tie in everyone stomach, and with more worry that no one has no idea who actually shot the g*n either, everyone is on high alert especially Liam with Arden he can't let anything happen to her while she's on concussion. Watching though the window neither of them have ever seen Arden so peaceful but given the circumstances they can't  just stand around and hope the gunman comes forward neither can Liam leave Arden unguarded, stuck with a complication situation he's relying on Jason for help who is busy with his own problems involving the g**g, although he's wanting to be by Arden side he knows he's she's safer if he wasn't.  Meanwhile somewhere in the outskirts of the town, Josie is at home painting her toe nails a bright pink with a smile plastered on her face after receiving a text from her brother, she's hoping that he did what she wanted as she can't have any competition but everyone can wish can't they, Josie has no idea that Arden is in the hospital still breathing or the fact Jason still doesn't want her more then a friend, with no care Josie finishes her nails when there's a loud knock at the door more like a banging noise, rolling her eyes Josie limbs down stairs trying to keep her toes up preventing them from ruining, she's hoping it's important  "About time I been calling all day" Josie brother Carl screams walking straight pass Josie and into the kitchen, his face says everything, he isn't happy one bit he needs somewhere to hide but can't stand in the town "Phone must be on silent" Josie shrugs following Carl into the kitchen slowly not wanting her ruin her nail varnish as she thinks about herself, she takes her time  "You out of your mind? She's friends with some powerful people, do you even know who your messing with" Carl screams once again annoyed with his sister actions which can get them both killed in a blink of a eye  "She's a only a new girl, what harm can she do?" Josie shrugs once again rolling her eyes, she has no idea who Arden really is but guessing by her brother attitude he knows who she's friends with and has a slim thought about what she's really capable of doing, getting fed up of his sister actions, he storms back out not looking back with slamming the door as he leave, he has to go underground with both Jason hardy and Liam Jackson looking for the shooter, he knows his sister is messing with two powerful men. With Josie having no care in the world, the words from her brother went in one ear and out the other, it's like she has a death wish or literally has no idea who she's trying to take down, instead she's hobbling back upstairs to paint her finger nails trying to find different ways to win her man back with the obviously one of seducing him Arden is lying in a hospital bed looking pale, she has no colour to her cheeks at all, she has no idea what's happening, but in her mind Arden is stood in a pitch black room confused, it's like she's having a dream rubbing her eyes Arden can only see darkness, walking round is like walking in circles it's never ending, getting annoyed Arden slumps down on her knees hoping for someone to spread a little light in her direction as she puts her head in her hands, there's a shadow behind her about to tap on Arden shoulder, feeling the tap Arden jumps to her feet ready in a fighting stance without knowing who or what it is "Hello buttercup" Arden father Michael says however Arden takes a step back shocked "It's not real! It's not real!" Arden screams to herself holding her hands on her ears rocking back and forth, she knows they can't be real, she seen them take there final breath "Buttercup calm down, we are hear to tell you that your in danger" Michael says while his wife valentine takes a step closer to their daughter who is in shock of seeing her parents, Arden slowly lifts her head up looking at her parents not believing her own eyes  "I miss you" Arden builds up the courage to say wiping her tears away, she has so many questions but she knows it not the time to ask "We miss you but you have to fight angel, don't let a bullet keep you down" Michael says walking over to both his wife and daughter, he couldn't be more proud of her even though he's not with her in person, he's always watching from above. As Arden is hugging her parents she slowly feels them fade away as tears run down her face "We are always with you, in here" Valentine says pointing to Arden heart, Arden is swelling up and tears keep running down her face, her parents couldn't be more proud of the women she become, strong and independent.  "I can't do this without you, don't leave me again" Arden pleads to her parents who are still fading but she can still see them  "Fight for us buttercup, you have Liam and Evie, we are watching. We love you" Michael says finally disappearing into the darkness leaving Arden all alone, not sure she wants to fight, she wants to be with her parents. After letting her parents words settle in Arden realises she's got to fight, she's not going to let the person who shot her get away with this, the bullet could of hit an innocent and Arden couldn't handle the guilt of an innocent being killed if it was meant for her.  Hearing a beeping noise Arden trying so hard to open her eyes but it's harder done then said, given a couple more tries Arden eyes lids start to move up and down, with a little peak she's blinded by a bright light shinning in her face, frowning her face by the light Arden builds the courage and opens her eyes to the full and is getting a face full of light, not realising how bright the light actually was she feels stupid, Arden closes her eyes wanting someone to turn them down a notch or she will shot them. Lying there for a hour trying to think who would want her dead Arden comes up with hundreds of people but can't think of one who would shot her in a pupil place where there's civilians are. Hearing footsteps Arden couldn't be happier, finally someone to sort the lights out  "Could you switch the lights off, someone is trying to sleep" Arden says jokingly trying to find the funny side of being shot but honestly she's finding it hard to do so but she can't stop thinking Does she have to be shot or on the blink of death to hear or see her parents again "Sorry dear, didn't know you was awake. Are you in any discomfort? Let me check your vitals and I'll get the doctor" the nurses says handing Arden a cup of water with a straw for her rusty voice as it cracks, as the nurse checks over the Arden vitals she can't help look around for her friends, it's not the first time being shot but it's a first in the stomach and Arden knows it isn't going to be the last with a war rising.
