Code A

Hearing the g*n shot Arden is ready to run with Evie and Liam, as she didn't pack a g*n with her but when hearing the bullet leave the g*n barrel, she feels a sharp pain coming from her stomach. Looking down and seeing blood flow out Arden takes out her phone before she hit the ground, dialling a number her father told her to ring if she was in any trouble, Arden is trying so hard to remember the number as she starts pressing in the numbers one by one the phone starting ringing within three rings a man voice picks up the phone with an strong American accent 

"Hello" is all the man says waiting for a respond, Arden can not focus and the room starts to spin, she’s trying but can’t 

"Code A" Arden says barely voice-able and hangs up sliding her phone across the dance floor, a single tear rolls down her face as her body begin to shut down, not wanting to fade into the darkness, Arden fights to keep her eyes wide open, hoping Liam is close by to help her but after serve try's to get back to her feet, a mans figure appears and Arden eyes start to close, fading into the darkness which she so hoped wouldn't happen. 

After hearing the g*n being fired Liam hand slips out of Arden, he's tying to look for her but with everyone running he's finding it hard with no such luck he turns to Evie 

"Run, wait for me somewhere safe and text me the address, I need to find Arden" Liam demands from Evie to run who turns round to him shaking her head

“I’m not leaving you, I’m coming with” Evie shouts, she's not leaving both her friends while someone has a g*n, taking Liam hand he turns back round trying to find Arden pushing himself though the crowd. As the crowd starts to die down, he sees a figure on the floor, with a closer look he sees Arden lying in her own blood, he searches for the bullet wound and puts pressure on it, trying to stop the blood 

"Evie grabs her hands! Arden if you can hear me, squeeze Evie hand as hard as you can" Liam shouts hoping to get a respond, he turns round to Evie who's shaking her head, he can see a tear rolling down Arden cheek, he promised he look out for her and let nothing happen to her but Liam can't help but wonder that he let her down as well as his sister

"Damn it Arden, come on please" Liam starts shouting but the shouting catches Jason and he comes running over with Nate, he can't help breakdown seeing the only girl he cared for lying in her own blood not answering Liam 

"Nate pull the car round, we take her to the hospital" Jason screams at Nate telling him to do exactly what he said. Liam picks Arden up and starts sprinting to the exit hoping that they aren't to late.

As Nate pulls the car round, Evie slides in first letting Liam put Arden head on Evie lap, Liam is still holding pressure on the bullet wound, he knows the bullet has to come out but he can't risk it. Jason is in the passengers seat telling Nate to put his foot down, Evie putting two fingers on Arden neck trying to find a pulse Evie can hear a faint one barely and she starts to break down, she hasn't let go on Arden hand and isn't ready to, she turns to Jason 

"Ring the hospital, tell them we coming in fast" Evie shouts at Jason throwing him her phone to use, she doesn't know what else to do but hold on Arden hand and push her hair out the way hoping they get there on time 

"We have a gunshot victim in the stomach, she has a faint pulse, we are about 4 minutes out" Jason says looking at Nate who holds four fingers up, as the minutes pass by it feels like forever for them. Minute and minute they pull up at the hospital, two doctor and three nurses have rushed out with a bed waiting for them to transfer her on, once on the bed, the pulse has stopped, a nurse climbs on top starting chest compressions till a nurse can get a breathing tube down her throat. Evie is running after her but gets stopped at two double doors, shes fighting with the nurse to let her go, she doesn't want to leave her

As Christian was sitting with his wife, he never expected someone to ring him quite late at night, picking it up and reading 'blocked' Christian answered it anyway, not sure what to expect, hearing the heavy breathing on the line

"Hello" he say hoping it's not a prank call, he waits for someone to say anything on the other line but as seconds pass he hears nothing 

"Code A" he barely hears as a whisper from a young women, Christian had jumped to his feet hearing those two words, looking at his wife but before he could say anything else the phone line goes down, from reading that letter he knows exactly what this means

"What's wrong hunny, you seem like you seen a ghost" April says to her husband standing up putting her hand in his but it like he has seen a ghost he never expect to hear that code 

"Michael daughter..... she called saying Code A. She's in trouble" Christian says sprinting to his office hoping the computer boy Phillip is awake. Dialling his number, he picks up straight away but does say anything

"Michael daughter call me, try and trace the call anything" he screams down the phone before hanging up trying to call his son. After calling him twice, Jason doesn't answer but the third time he picks up 

"Where the hell are you, I tried calling you twice already. Anyway Michael daughter calling the code, she's in danger" Christian says over the phone in a hurry, he needs his men ready, Jason let's let's out a sigh 

"I'm at the hospital Arden got shot in our club it's really bad. I'll come as soon as I spoke to the doctor" Jason says not wanting to leave the hospital but he got to follow orders and can't do anything else when someone calls In a favour. Christian is devastated the timing couldn't be any better, there was a shooting at one of his clubs and now the code a, he's got no choice but to call a emergency meeting at the warehouse and pay police office to close the case hoping Arden doesn't sue or anything.

Waiting patiently Liam is walking back and forth, he can’t stay still, he feels like it’s his fault as those two hands slipped, Evie is curled up in a ball wiping away tears that don’t stop falling down her cheek. All of them are waiting for the doctor to come out, it’s been hours since they took her in, Arden has no family apart from her friends. After another hour a doctor comes out rubbing his hand together

“Could I talk to Arden family?” The doctor says everyone looks at each other

“She doesn’t have any family left, we might not be blood family but we are all she left” Liam says stepping forward, he doesn’t want to play game, he wants to find out what’s happening

“Alright, the bullet missed the virtual organs but it had done some internal damage which I would like to talk to Arden about. I couldn’t tell you when she will wake up but the next 24 hours are critical” doctor say apologising that he couldn’t do anything else to friend there friend. Liam looks at Evie with a half heart smile, grateful it wasn’t life threatening.
