Battle of Bilehem

Last night I had fallen asleep with to gunshots and bombs with the feeling not knowing if I would die tonight. When I looked out my window it looked as if I were in hell. Ikigai runs to my room. "Imora...are...you..okay?" the pauses being taken to breathe. "Yeah...I'm..fine.." I say mocking him. It was awkwardly silent until we hear banging on the door. I hide without hesitation. Ikigai quickly crawls to lock the doors , no need to close the shades, just to peek without being seen by whoever it is. It was Loni. Loni is my sister. He unlocks the door and says "Hey Loni!" a few seconds after I come out. Loni has terror in her eyes. "Hide. Shut the lights off and hide." she says quickly and seriously. I open the attic door and a ladder pops out we all climb into it, then into the cubby . We heard the door go down. My heart stopped, I grabbed Ikigai's arm and closed my eyes. "Your ok."
