Chapter 11

Audenzia pov

"I Alpha Audenzia Rodriguez reject you, Alpha Damian Black as my mate.", I say my voice cold and my eyes hard. I watch as his face morphs into horror he freezes to the spot I throw a last look at Valencia and stride out the door before anyone has the chance to read my face. 

 I gasp as my wolf howls and growls. Its so overwhelming that I couldn't even breath. I rush to the washroom and see that no one is in there except a lady in a stall. I look around and teleport in Georgia before he comes to look for me, which he will I'm sure. 

I've teleport in my room in the castle in Georgia. I sit down on my bed for a moment. I'm sure Valencia will be here soon. I need to do something. I quickly pack my bag and stride out of my room. I mind link Charles to meet me in the front entrance. He's waiting for me when I go there. His eyes widen when he sees me coming from my room instead of the door. 

He bows his head, "Alpha...how..", He's about to ask but I stop him. "It's not the time for questions Charles. You have to listen to what I'm about to say and listen carefully. I'm going Miami right now, to check on the pack there.", I say. He doesn't hide his shock,"Is there something wrong Alpha? Should I..", I interrupt him again,"Just listen. There's nothing wrong there. I just..", I gulp,"I just want to go there to inspect some..pack lands and to see how everything is going on there. What you have to do is..I'm sure your chief will arrive here after sometime. It's my order that you will not tell her where am I even if she asks you. You'll tell them after one week that I'm in Miami. And you have to pass my orders loud and clear that I'm to disturb only if there is some emergency. If I'm disturbed otherwise, there will be consequences, to all.", I say his eyes are wide with shock at my abrupt orders but he nods his head, slowly taking it all in. 

"One more thing that you have to do Charles, you and only you will call me everyday to inform about everything that goes around the pack. You'll update me everyday. And under no circumstance will you reveal this to anyone. You understand?", I ask him. "Yes Alpha.", He bows. I squeeze his shoulder for the last time before I teleport in Miami.

Valencia pov

I watch as Damian looks up at me expecting answers. I look away and slump in a chair. What am I to tell him? I didn't know he and my  sister were mates up until now. 

What are you doing? Why are you talking to him like this? We is your mate! I had mind linked her, when she oh so graciously stated to Damian that she was not pleasured to meet him. 

She had met my gaze fiercely and had replied right back, That's right he's my mate. I'll decide what to do, you will not tell me. She had said rudely.

I was so in shock when she rejected him that I just stood there agape. I only came to my senses when Damian was running here and there to find her. I knew she would've already teleported so I had called him back here. 

"Vale?", Rick's voice brought me back to my senses. I looked up at him and he gestured towards Damian. I grudgingly looked at him. He was giving me a questioning and hurt look. I couldn't hold his gaze so I closed my eyes in exasperation. I massaged my temples and opened my eyes."I really don't know what to say Damian. I..", He cut me off before I could speak, "Where are you staying in New York? I'm sure she must have gone there. I'll go find her.", he said standing up abruptly. Oh boy you have no idea!

"Damian wait! I have a feeling that she wont be there. And I assure you she will be out of the state before you know. So there's no point in finding her.", I explain. 

He looks so hurt and pained and he chuckles humorlessly, "So what do you want me to do? You want me to just let her go? Do you know i've waited for ten long years to find her? Do you know how excruciating the wait was?", He fires angrily. I want to scoff at that but I stop myself, "I understand Damian. But what do you want me to do? I didn't even know you both were mates until now. I never knew she would reject her mate like this after meeting him first time.", I say exasperated.

"She didn't see me for the first time.", He reveals. I look at him puzzled, "What do you mean?", I ask and I see that all of his family is giving him the same look. "I saw her first time in the gala. We recognized each other as mates. We had an eye contact. But Alpha Valentine had to interrupt me. When I was done talking to him she was no longer there. I thought she must be scared but now I understand she wanted to reject me all along.", He says shaking his head. 

The clogs begun to turn in my head that's why my wolf felt brotherly and sisterly connections with all of them that day. That's why she's acting weird since that day. That's why she got drunk. That's the reason she and her wolf were having conflicts. 

"That's why she...", I trail off. "She what?", Damian inquires. 

I tell him everything that has happened since that day. "Does she love someone else?", He asks hesitantly after hearing everything. "No! she doesn't love anyone other than her pack and me.", I reply absent minded thinking about all the reasons of why she might have done this. But I found none. I mean isn't it stupid to reject your mate after you've waited for him for four hundred something years? 

Damian suddenly gets up and storms off from the room. I look at the others in alarm. His beta and delta run after him. "Don't worry. Just find your sister as soon as possible. We'll take care of him.", Dael says to me squeezing my shoulder before going out. 

"What's wrong with Zia? Why the f**k did she reject her mate? Who in her sane mind does that?", I exclaim standing up angrily.

"You don't understand her, do you?", Glo asks looking at me. I look at her and scoff, "I don't understand her? Of course I've only been with her for five hundred years. How can I understand her?", I say looking at her. 

She shakes her head, "Do you remember the last time your sister cried? The last time she took a day off, except the last two days of course? Do you remember her living for herself after your parents death?", She asks. "Don't you see Valencia? She's insecure. She has given so much amount of time living for the pack, coven and you that she has forgotten about these things. She's not any simple she-wolf who will jump up happily because her mate is an Alpha. She isn't thinking about her happiness she's thinking about the safety of the pack, the coven she's thinking about you."

It begins to dawn on me that the thick-headed i***t sister of mine is doing this all for us. She wants to sacrifice her happiness for us. I chuckle. "Is it just me or everyone thinks that our Alpha needs some talking to?", I ask. They all chuckle and shake their heads.

"Let's go home and find my dear older sister.", I say.
