Chapter 14

Valencia Pov

I tried not to cry at the distant sound of howl. I'm so sorry Zia! I'm so sorry! I don't know if I can ever face her again. I feel so bad. I don't know what to do. I want to run back at her and hug her. She must be in so much pain right now, but this had to be done, for her own good.

It's okay. Lisa whispers in my mind.

There's only one person who can make me feel better right now, my mate. Daniel. So I teleport near the Blood Moon pack and get in. No one stops me. I get in their house and go in his room. He's asleep, I smile at him and get in the bed with him. I rest my head on his chest and he holds me tightly "Weren't you supposed to visit your father's hometown?" he whispered sleepily. I smile as I snuggle deeper into him "I missed you" I whisper. He just hums and kisses my forehead.

He made me feel better without doing anything. Zia should be getting this type of love. She deserves it. Thinking of Zia made me feel guilty so I just thought about Daniel's arms around me and his intoxicating scent of citrus and pine.

I couldn't help but laugh at how we met. It was almost a week ago...

*Flashback*

(Sorry to interrupt but I'm gonna write the flashback in third person's pov)

Valencia was pacing in her cabin as she couldn't help but worry. Yes, she admitted that Audenzia was an adult and therefore she can look after herself perfectly, but she knew that she wasn't okay. She wanted to help her out but she didn't know where to find that stubborn she wolf. Valencia looked up at the sound of knock and sat on her chair immediately. With a face so blank no one could guess she was freaking out a moment ago she said "Come in please".

At seeing who strolled in, a smirk spread over Valencia's lips. It was Tyler her 'boyfriend'. Just the idea made Valencia scoff. Yeah he was cute and all but why would she get a boyfriend when she was supposed to have a mate. So she never engaged in superfluous activities. She had made it quite clear to Tyler that their relationship was just mutual physical pleasure and nothing else.

She found just the thing to distract herself. Tyler smiled at her and leaned in to kiss her "I was passing by, thought should drop in" He said. "Right on time" Valencia said pulling him down.

Daniel was supposed to see the CEO of the Rodriguez Inc today. Damian couldn't come because he was still drowning in s**t because his mate rejected him. He was waiting in the 'waiting room', annoyed, because the CEO apparently wasn't in the mood for the meeting. Daniel hated when someone did that. He was a punctual man and despised tardiness.

Fifteen minutes, he's been waiting for fifteen f*****g minutes outside the godforsaken cabin. The CEO's secretary has been very polite and asked him to wait while the CEO attended an important business.

Enough is enough he growled. This deal was important so he couldn't even storm out, so he decided to storm in. he got up and started going towards her cabin when he was stopped by the polite secretary "I'm sorry sir, but its highly inappropriate ..." She trailed of when he gave her his most icy glare.

She slowly backed off looking nervous and looked away fidgeting her hands.

He nodded satisfied. He strode towards the office and without bothering to knock opened the door... It was like he was petrified. In front of him was the most beautiful yet most horrendous sight in the world.

The scent of coffee and cinnamon invaded his senses as he took in the scene in front of him. His mate, his mate stared back at him. He wished it was a happy experience, because it was not! Not at all happy!

His mate was bent on the table, her shirt halfway open exposing her...her assets. He clenched his jaw. Her skirt was pulled up as a bastard had his d**k inside of her. Daniel couldn't keep the growl from ripping from his throat and he lunged at the motherfucker.

Valencia froze as the door was opened and she felt Tyler freeze too between a thrust.

The exotic scent of citrus and pine invaded her senses as the wolf came in. Her eyes widened. She didn't know what to do. This was the most awkward situation to meet your mate. She didn't think that meeting her mate while bending over a table with someone else's d**k inside her was the best position to meet her mate.

She saw as he took her in and to her horror took the compromising position of her and Tyler in.

She only unfroze when a growl ripped through his chest and he lunged at Tyler.

Daniel held the motherfucker by his throat and threw him to the floor. He glided from the floor to the wall with a satisfying thud. He picked him up and punched that bastard in the face. Once, twice noting with great satisfaction that his nose broke.

Valencia's eyes widened. At this rate he would kill Tyler. Sure, she didn't love him or anything but it wasn't his fault and this was wrong she thought. So she hurriedly ran towards her mate and caught his arm mid-swing. His harsh breathing stopped as he turned to look at her. "Don't" she whispered. He clenched his jaw which made him look so damn sexy. He dropped Tyler off and he begun to cough, spitting blood. Valencia crouched beside him. "Are you okay Ty?" She asked touching his face.

At that, there was a thunderous growl in the room. Before Valencia could comprehend what is happening she was ripped off the floor to a wall and her mate was kissing the living hell out of her.

Oh boy! Sparks flew in her body as he thrust his tongue in her mouth. He was rough but she was enjoying it. With that they moved fast, very fast. Their clothes landed on the floor as he carried her towards the table and without wasting anytime he entered her.

"Valencia how can you..?" Tyler's voice made her look up at him "Get out" her mate growled shielding her naked torso from Tyler. "What? How dare you..." he was cut off mid sentence when Valencia growled "Get the f**k out Ty" he stormed out of the room half afraid half angry.

Valencia smirked up at her mate who was still scowling. "He's gone now" She said laughing.

He just grunted and lunged at her lips.

Valencia smiled in his chest. She was so happy to find out that her mate was Damian's brother. She couldn't help but want to share this with Zia. But she wasn't there. She sighed dejectedly as her eyes began to get heavy. She closed her eyes and kissed his bare chest before succumbing to sleep.
