THE HYBRID ALPHA QUEEN

Chapter 2

Audenzia pov

We were in New York going to some shitty Annual Charity Gala. I mean com'on I have other things to do. I don't have time to do this.

Well I'm Audenzia Rodriguez. The Alpha of the Thunder Moon pack and Queen of the Thunder Clan. Well I'm not flaunting.. But it leaves me with no time.

I'm a were vamp hybrid. My dad Alpha Robert Rodriguez was the Alpha of Thunder Moon pack and my Mom Queen Evangeline Christ was a vampire. So the result is me and my sister are hybrids.

When my parents found out that they were mates they tried to deny it at first but eventually they gave up to their mate bond. They combined the pack and the coven. After the time came they gave me their titles and made me The Alpha Queen of Thunder Moon pack and Thunder Clan.

My mom's company the Christ's Enterprise.. She merged it with my dad's company and now it stands strong named R group of Companies.

My sister Valencia is the Chief of the Pack and the Coven. And also the CEO of the company. She didn't want to be the Alpha or anything else. She is born for business. There is no such title as Chief in other packs or covens but I made the title for her. She deserves it. She is intelligent and powerful.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my door, "Alpha the gala starts at 6 pm tomorrow evening.", it was my beta Antony. This f*****g gala.... I never attended it before nor Valencia did. It were only my beta, beta female, delta, delta female and head warriors. And the council didn't mind it at all. But this year they want both Valencia and me to go because they think that we should find our mates now. Seriously? Don't they understand the complications?

"Audenzia..." came Gloria's panicked voice. Gloria is my beta female. This time I opened the door. Gloria's eyes were watery and her expressions were a bit..... "What happened?", I asked.

"It's Vale. She..", I didn't even let her complete her sentence before I rushed to Valencia in my vampire speed. I sensed her in her room. I pushed opened the door and there she was my baby sister holding our parents photo and crying silently. I let out a shaky breath. I was relaxed that she is safe but at the same time I didn't know how to console her. It was about hundred years ago..

*Flashback*

"Audenzia are you ready?", came my mom's voice from outside my room. "Yeah mom! Can you please come in and zip me up?", I asked. "Sure baby!", mom replied. Mom came in and zipped my red and black coloured gown which I was wearing for today's coronation. Yes! Today was my coronation. My dad and mom were giving me their title today. I worked for 420 years for this day. Of course I was happy.

I looked at myself in the mirror to check if anything was missing or if anything was wrong. "You look absolutely beautiful darling!", mom said with a smile. But.. She had tears in her eyes. Oh! My mom. She was a powerful vampire queen and here she was crying on her daughters coronation day like some human mom who cries on prom day of their daughters.

" A mom is a mom. Whether it be a human mom, were mom or vamp mom.", she said. "Mom! Stay out of my head!", I exclaimed. She just laughed and shook her head.

"Let's go. It's time now.", she said wiping her eyes as she held out her hand for me. I smiled and took her hand in mine as we stepped out of my room. The coronation was held in the ball room. We started going towards it. "Zia!", came my baby sister's voice from behind me. We stopped and turned towards her. There she was in all her glory. Valencia was beautiful, very beautiful. And she looked gorgeous in her royal green gown. She came towards me and hugged me. "Are you ready?", she asked her eyes shining in excitement. She was more excited about it than me. I nodded and said, "As ready as I'll ever be!"

"My babies look so beautiful today!", mom exclaimed from beside me. Me and my sister chuckled at her. "My daughters look beautiful everyday.", my dad said coming behind my mother and kissing her on the cheek. We smiled at him. He hugged us all. I was so happy.. Our little family. "Let's go now.", Dad said. We nodded our heads and mom held dad's hand and they started walking towards the hall. "They forgot us.", Valencia said frowning. "We heard you.", mom said from ahead. "It was meant to be heard mommy.", Valencia laughed. I chuckled at her, "Let's go already.", I said.

"Okay Alpha Queen!", she mock saluted me. I slapped her shoulder playfully and we started walking towards the hall.

That night when I went to bed I was so happy. It was already midnight. After my coronation and speech we all danced and celebrated. I came in my room took a nice hot shower. My body ached and my feet hurt by wearing those heels and dancing. Sleeping seemed so enticing. After my shower I went to bed and slept.

I was bolted awake from my sleep by a heartbreaking scream. I instantly recognized it. It was my mom. I jumped from my bed and put on my robe. And reached my parents room in my vampire speed. I was followed by my sister.

But when I entered the room my whole world stopped, my head started spinning. My mom was crying and screaming and my dad lay limp in my mother's lap. I took deep breaths. This should be a mistake. It must be a dream. No.. No... No.. It can't.

"Dad.", Screamed Valencia and ran towards our parents. I shook my head and went after her. I slowly went towards my dad's limp form. And focused my enhanced hearing for any sound of breathing or heartbeat. But I was not able to concentrate due to my mom's screaming. I was infuriated. Cant mom stop shouting?

"Mom! Will you stop crying? I'm trying to hear his heartbeats over here.", I screamed and instantly regretted it when I saw my mom flinch and sob. I took deep breathes and touched my dads wrist, no pulse. I felt for his heartbeat, no heartbeat. I touched his nose, no breathing.

" No.. No .. No.... No no no no. This can't be happening. Dad? Dad? Dad please get up. You can't leave me. You promised that you will stay by me all through my life. Dad." I started sobbing now. My dad left me.

I saw that Valencia was trying to soothe my mom. My baby sister.. she must be devastated. But she is still being strong just for our mom's sake. And what am I doing? Shouting on her instead of consoling her. What a shitty daughter I am. I got up from my place. And went to them both. "Mom... I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Please don't cry like this mom.", I said in my best soothing voice.

I hugged my baby sister and she instantly broke into loud sobs. I rubbed her back to soothe her. After some minutes I pulled away from her and hugged my mom." He.... He... Was... Supposed.. To.. To st-stay with me. ", my mom stuttered between sobs. "I know mom. Please calm down.", I said in my best soothing voice. My mom hugged me and stretched out her other hand to Valencia. She came into us. And we three hugged each other and cried senseless.

"My babies.... Re.. Remember... That.. That.... Mom... L.. Loves you.", mom said before her body went limp. I froze. "Mom! Mom! Hey! No.. Mom.. You can't leave us. You can't leave us like dad... Hey mom! Get up. I know you're acting. Get up mom." I said shaking her. Valencia broke into sobs. "Damn it mom get up please. Stop being so heartless to us? Can't you see we're really getting hurt?", I screamed whilst shaking my mom's limp body.

"Zia! She left us! Stop stop doing that. She couldn't take the pain of her mate's death and she left. Just stop screaming or you'll go insane.", Valencia exclaimed. I froze and let Valencia sob in my chest.

*Flashback ended*

Till this date we couldn't get over their death. They both left us alone at the same time. That day was worst day of my life. After their death everything changed. The world could no longer see the pack and the coven together. So we needed to erase all the memories of the people who knew that they were combined and me and Valencia were hybrids for the safety of pack and coven. Now people think that me and Valencia are werewolves. They think that the Thunder Clan vampires went rouges after their queen died. They actually live with us, concealing themselves from the outside world. But many of them just wander the world. Some of them live as humans concealing their scents. They come whenever we need them, but vampires aren't pack creatures like werewolves, they're free to roam the world. I am their queen so I have control on them. 

No one in present knows the truth about me, my sister and my pack, well no one except the council of course..

"Zia..", came my sisters voice which startled me from my thoughts. I was still standing in her room's doorway. "Hey" I said giving her a soft smile as I finally entered her room. I sat besides her on the bed. "I'm sorry.. I just.. miss them.", she said heavily. I shook my head and held her hand. "It's okay baby. I miss them too. It would've been easy..", I said frowning as my eyes pricked with unshed tears. "I know..", she said. We sat there silently for a while just looking at the photo. "You know Zia.. You.. You look a perfect combination of mom and dad. Mom's black hair, dad's eyes, mom's body.", she started, "But me.. I don't know why but.. It's as if I don't share features with mom. I have dad's dirty blonde hair. But I don't have any features like mom. But still it feels so similar." I stiffened a little at her words. "It's as if.. As if I were a twin of mom.", she said shaking her head and chuckling a little. "Don't be stupid.", I retorted rather angrily. She was taken aback by my words and looked at me with wide eyes. "What happened?", she asked curiously and warily. "Nothing.. Its just.. Forget I said anything. Take care of yourself. I'll wait until you sleep.", I said.

"I'm okay now. Go to bed.", she said. I sighed. "I'm sorry. I can't do anything to make you feel better.", I said. She smiled sadly. "you can't make others feel better when you aren't better.", she said. I smiled. "Go to sleep", I said getting up and kissing her cheek. She smiled. "Good night. Don't think too much it happens always. Have a good rest. We have a big day ahead of us.", she said. I nodded my head. " 'Night.", I said before exiting her room. 

I went to my bed and took a hot shower to clear my mind. And went to bed thinking about the big day ahead of us.
