Damian pov

I was feeling rejected. Where did she go? And why? Do you know why? I asked Roy. I'm as clueless at this matter as you are. But... He trailed of. But what? I asked. Maybe he could still sense her?

I felt her wolf. She recognized us. But I don't know why she left. He said. 

I think I should go after her. What do you think? She won't be far. And she can't transform into wolf here. I said preparing myself. No! Stop! Don't go after her you foolish human. He growled. 

What? Why? Are you serious? You're suggesting that after finding out mate we should let her go? Just like that? I asked angrily. 

Oh no! If not for you I would've let you go after her. But right now I don't think you going after her would be beneficial.... 

I cut him off Beneficial? BENEFICIAL? I growled. 

Don't f*****g cut me off. If you go after her now there is a high chance she might reject you on the spot. He said. 

What? What the f**k does that mean? I asked.

You reek of the w***e you f****d yesterday. It's not strong, but strong enough for our mate to sense. He said. And now it made sense. s**t!

Yeah s**t! Dumb ass! I've always told you not to w***e around but you keep shutting me off. Now it's your fault we can't go after our mate. He growled.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry, alright? What should we do now? I asked.

Wait. Like I said, I felt her wolf. That means her wolf was accepting us. It was the human part which had some objection. But her wolf will soon force her to come and look for us. No wolf can stay away from their mate. He said thoughtfully.

Sometimes my wolf can be very intelligent. 

Oh I'm the intelligent one here human! You are the dumb one. He said.

I didn't bother to reply. I was still thinking about her. The way she held herself, it was so fascinating. There was an aura around her which I couldn't detect. 

It was strong. She maybe from Alpha bloodline. My wolf interrupted me. Alpha bloodline? Hmm.. That made sense. But I've never seen her here before. Maybe .. She was a daughter of some Alpha and didn't bother to come here before this? Yeah, that must be it, or else...

Damian? Damian? What are you doing? My thoughts were cut off by Dael's voice in my head. I shook my head and gazed at my surrounding.

Alpha Thomas of Greenwood Pack was standing before me and looking at me humorously. Thomas was a friend. Not a friend like Alpha Valentine, no. Alpha Valentine was just the Alpha of a friendly pack, but Thomas was a friend, friend.

I smiled at him, even if in my current mood I didn't want to. He smirked. "What's going on in that head of yours, huh?" , he asked. I faked a chuckle, "Nothing." ,I said. "Just thinking about this...Stupid stuff." ,I said featuring towards the hall.

He narrowed his eyes suspiciously but said nothing, instead he turned away from me and smiled at Dael. Who blushed under his gaze. He had a thing for her. But they weren't mates.

He started a light conversation with her. I turned away from them not wanting to invade. "Alpha." , I looked up and saw Brian and Sally. Thomas's Beta and Delta. I nodded at them. "Long time no see Brian." , I said. He smiled a boyish smile. "Did you see that Alpha chick?" , he asked.

"Alpha Chick?" , I asked. "Yes! She is scorching hot." , he said. I raised a brow at him. "Which Alpha are you talking about?" ,I asked. "Alpha Rodriguez. Alpha of the Thunder Moon." , he said.

"So she's actually here? It wasn't a rumor? And she is a she?" , I asked. He rolled his eyes at that. "No, she is a he." , He said sarcastically. I narrowed my eyes, "You know what I mean." ,I said pointedly. He waved away my question.

"There was also her sister with her. And I'm sure if it wasn't for the power they radiated I would've tried something." , he said. "And probably ended up dead." , said Thomas who was turned towards us now. Brian rolled his eyes at that. "Did they intimidate you Tommy?" ,I asked smirking. He gave me a cold look. At which I chuckled. "Go and meet her Damy, you'll find out yourself, you might even piss your pants", he said. I rolled my eyes.

" I also think that it would be good. Beneficial even. Except for the pissing in the pants part. You may go and use a washroom first. ", John said. Everyone snickered. I threw him a glare, which he blatantly ignored.

"Let's go and meet this Alpha Chick." , I said air quoting the Alpha Chick. I nodded at Thomas, Brian and Sally (who was silent until now), they nodded back. Brian even gave me a thumbs up. Which I ignored.

"There", Darren pointed with a flick of his head. I looked over and saw the members of Thunder Moon and started towards them.

Valencia pov

" Vale! Listen I've got something very urgent to do. I'll go. Please don't ask anything. It's very urgent, please manage. " , she said and before I could say anything she was gone. What the hell? I tried to mind link her. But she had blocked me out. "Where did she go?" , Antony asked me. I shrugged. "We need to wait till this is over to find out." , I said shaking my head. What was wrong with Zia? What happened? I sipped the champagne in my glass and still tried to mind link her. But she had a thick wall surrounding her mind. Thicker than her head. "I asked Glo, she said that she's home." , Antony said. I nodded thoughtfully. But still didn't understand. But I shrugged. I'll ask her when I go back.

We were standing and having polite conversations here and there when I saw some people approaching us. Blood Moon. Rick mind linked. I nodded. They were about six people. Four of them dressed in complete black. And the man in the front was a walking eye candy. Literally. He was hawt. I smirked. No! Lisa said in my head. Lisa was my wolf. What is it? I asked her. I feel brotherly bond between him. Don't even think about taking him in your bed. She growled. Brotherly bond? I sighed. Alright. I assured her. The walking piece of eye candy which somehow made my wolf feel brotherly bond came forward with his companions. They were all graceful. I could tell that four of them were siblings and the other couple was most probably the Beta couple. All those four siblings were dressed in complete black. From head to toe.

All had shade of brown hair and brown eyes except for the youngest girl. She had different shade of hair and eyes. "Alpha Damian." , Antony said nodding his head in respect at him. The Alpha nodded back just as gracefully. "Beta Antony." , their Beta smiled "Delta Rick.", He said looking at Rick. Damian extended his hand for me to shake. " Damian Black." , he said. I shook his hand in a firm grip. "Valencia Rodriguez." , I said.

"So you are the Alpha Rodriguez everyone is talking about?" , he asked humor laced in his voice. I smirked and let out a laugh, "I'll have to disappoint you Alpha, I'm not the Alpha Rodriguez everyone is talking about." , I said air quoting the 'Alpha Rodriguez'.

"Alpha Rodriguez happens to be my sister. Alpha Audenzia Rodriguez." , I said. "I'll further disappoint you because you unfortunately don't have the pleasure to meet her today. She already left for some business that couldn't be left unattended."

He smirked , "I can't say that I'm not disappointed. That would be a lie. I heard quite a lot about her, and it would've indeed been a noble experience to meet her." , he said using the same Victorian words that I used. I laughed again.

"It would be a lie if I say that I'm not charmed to meet you." , I said. "I tend to have that affect on ladies, or should I say she wolves?" , he asked. I laughed again. This man was a charming company.

I turned towards the others around them. "Darren Black." , his brother held out his hand to me with a charming smile on his face. They sure were charmers. I took his hand and returned his smile.

"I believe you already know my name." , I said. 

"I've been hearing quite a lot about you and your sisters since I entered." , he said smirking. I let out an airy laugh, "Of course you heard." ,I said. Later I was introduced to their sisters Dael and Daisy. I, Sarah, Dael, Daisy and Celia (the Beta female of Blood Moon pack ) were all chatting. It was a very good company. I don't know why but I liked them. All of them. Even Lisa like them. And that was saying something, because we generally didn't like the same people. But she kept on saying how she felt brotherly and sisterly bonds between us. I shrugged it off. Wolves can be confusing.

After sometime people began to gather on the dance floor. Sarah and Celia went off  with their mates to dance. Antony remained beside me.

Alpha Thomas and his team approached us after sometime. Thomas took a blushing Dael with him on the dance floor. "Are they mates?" ,I asked Daisy and Darren. He snorted. "They have a thing for each other. They're not mates. They just see each other once in a year or maybe twice accidentally. Nothing more, nothing less." , he said. I nodded. Damian took Sally (Thomas's Delta) on the dance floor. Sally was the silent one. Not the shy kind of silent, no. She was the cold kind of silent. But I saw a tinge of red creep up her ears and neck when Damian asked her to dance. I smirked and shook my head .

"Well.. Fair lady, will you be so kind as to give me your hand for the dance and make my evening happier?" , Darren asked mocking a bow.

I smirked and dipped into a courtesy just as mocking, "Sure, young man", I said. He took my hands and we went off towards the dancing floor.  He was a very good dancer. I wasn't bad myself but he moved with grace. "My wolf seems to tell me that he has made some sisterly bond with you." , he said after sometime of silent dancing. I nodded. "My wolf is hinting the same." , I said. "Maybe we should meet up? After this? Tomorrow or day after tomorrow? A family dinner or something?" , he asked. "Hmm.. That doesn't sound bad. I'll make sure to inform you." ,I said smiling. He smiled back.

The night went good. I don't know why but I was happy that I met those Black siblings today. It felt so good. Daisy told me that they had three more siblings. Daniel, Dean and Diana. Daniel was injured and Dean and Diana too young to attend the Gala, so they didn't come.

We went home and I hurriedly went towards the study where I'm sure my dear sister would be. Even after whatever interesting things happened today I didn't forget her sudden mysterious escape.

I opened the door to her study without bothering to knock and I was surprised with what I saw. Audenzia was there, yes. But she wasn't working like I expected her to do. She had a glass of wine in her hand and a lost look in her eyes. Her cheeks were flushed and she didn't even look up when I came in. What's the matter with her?

"Zia? Zia? What are you doing? Why are you drinking?" ,I asked. She looked up startled and then relaxed when she saw that it was just me. "Vale..Vale My dear sister. I'm so happy to see you!" , she exclaimed. "Almost as happy as .." and then suddenly her eyes closed and her head fell on the table. s**t!
