Chapter 24Shocked, and terrified for Mark's safety, Miriam ran towards the boys' flat. She had to get help. Mark was alone. The man had a knife. Her dress flapped open exposing bare skin and bra to the cold night air, but she didn't notice. She was too frantic. She pressed on the security door buzzer, but nobody answered. She pressed it again and again.
“Oh, go away, children. I'm tired,” Jonah said aloud, assuming someone was pushing the bell to annoy him.
He walked over to the open window and looked out and that's when he saw Miriam banging on the security door and heard her cries for help.
