The next day, early in the morning, Kiara went to grab coffee at the coffee shop, she say down close to the window enjoying the outside view as she sipped her coffee

"Good morning" she heard a familiar voice behind her, the voice sent cold down her spine, her heart fluttered as it pounded fiercely against her chest. Immediately, she saw the face of the gentleman who greeted her; a mixture of feelings and memories surged through her mind

'" Can I sit" the gentleman added

"No, " she snapped. "Do I know you " she pretended not to remember the guy from the club (Lucas)

"Ouch, are you going to pretend not to recognize me now, hot chick " he smirked his eye glinting with wicked amusement

Kiara's face reddened, her cheek burning under his gaze

" I--I--I don't remember you " Kiara stuttered

"Come on, don't be childish, I can see your face blush" Lucas added grinning

" Lucas what do you want?" she asked coldly

"Ooh, seems someone really did remember the name she screamed all night " Lucas said as he kept grinning

"Oh please, scrap off" Kiara spit out in disgust

" Anyways I came to grab a coffee and spotted you, so I decided to come and say hello and I also enjoyed that night" he added as he winked her grinning ear to ear

Kiara took a deep breath, she never expected she would bump into this man ever again, but how do we keep meeting, what a weird coincidence or maybe he is a stalker, Kiara wondered

"Okay, "she answered dismissively

"What's that u called yourself again, "hot chi...."

"Lucas!!" she cut him short "Can you please leave"

"Ooh, my bad, I'm sorry, I thought maybe....'"

"I don't care, just leave please" she cut him short coldly

Lucas sighed in disappointment "Okay," he simply replied

As he stood up to leave his business card fell off his pocket

Kiara's face lit up in bewilderment, he eye wide open as she saw the business card, she picked it up to read and to confirm her doubt it was boldly written VERTEXA ENTERPRISE

"Oohh," she gasped "Could he be the CEO of VERTEXA ENTERPRISE" she wondered

VERTEXA ENTERPRISE is the company she applied for to work as a virtual assistant and she is yet to get feedback from them

"Excuse me" she rushed to Lucas, as if he was expecting her to call him back, a slow devilish smile spread across his face

"Um, you dropped this "Kiara muttered handing the business card to him

"Thanks," he replied blankly and collected the card from her

"Do you perhaps work there if I may ask?" Kiara forced herself to ask

"Work?" he huffed and brought out the card arrogantly "Does this card say anything about me being a staff"

'Ooh, f**k' Kiara cursed in her mind, 'he is the f*****g CEO, I should have known ' she thought

" I'm sorry for presuming " she replied with a forced smile across her face thinking of a way to start on good terms with Lucas as he is the CEO of the company, it is likely to benefit her

"You asked earlier if you could sit with me.... are u still interested...no, can you please have a coffee with me " she requested with a pleading look

Lucas waited for some seconds as if trying to put her on suspense for a while then he smiled "Why not" he replied. Kiara heaved a sigh of relief

"Another cup of coffee please" Kiara requested from the waiter as soon as Lucas sat down

"I realized that we didn't start on a good note" she apologized giving all this fake smile "and I'm sorry about earlier" She apologized again

''nah, it's okay, I should be the one apologizing " Lucas replied

The waiter brought coffee for him and placed it on their table. There were a few moments of awkward silence

"Um..., you are the CEO right " Kiara grinned foolishly

"Do I have to repeat that?" he asked arrogantly

"Ooh, no, I'm just so glad that I'm glad to meet you" she added.

"Wow, since when" Lucas laughed at how Kiara shamelessly switched since she found out he was a CEO

Kiara realized how foolishly she had been acting

"To what do I owe this pleasure" Lucas asked as if he knew something was suspicious

Kiara gave out a fake laugh " Nah, don't mind me " She tried to get back on track

"It's okay, go ahead and talk to me if I can be of help to you" Lucas said looking into her eyes

Kiara cleared her throat, she didn't know where to start. '" First of all, I want to apologize for my rudeness " she apologized again

"Kiara!!!" Lucas called giving her a stare that said, " Enough of the long talk go straight to the point

"Okay, okay, I recently applied for the position of virtual assistant at your company and I haven't gotten feedback, I don't know if um... you can..'" she hesitated with a nervous look she didn't know if she was making the right decision

Lucas laughed so loudly that Kiara felt embarrassed

"I'm sorry, was I funny?" she asked with a tone of irritation

"No, I'm sorry my love, you..." Lucas tried to say but Kiara cut her shot

"Kiara, my name is Kiara please" she corrected him. She hated the word Lucas was referring to her as

"actually kiara" Lucas began where he stopped "You look cute when you are nervous" he stated with a smile

"Oh" Kiara huffed in irritation " So?" she added still waiting for a positive reply

"Okay, that won't be a problem" Lucas agreed " but on one condition"

Kiara frowned, 'What was I even expecting, a man that stooped so low to have s*x with me when I was drunk would never agree to help without anything in return' she thought to herself

Kiara hissed angrily "Never mind, I wasn't expecting less from you, pervert "

"There you go again being rude, you haven't even heard what I wanted to request, anyways nevermind, I will still help you nevertheless " Lucas said. "Why don't you take my e-mail and message me your CV and portfolio directly then I will get back to you" Lucas added sounding professional

"Okay, thanks" Kiara replied blankly as if she wasn't impressed with his reply

"I guess I will be on my way then" Lucas grinned as he extended his hands to shake Kiara

"Sure, thanks you sir" Kiara shook his hand and bowed a little in respect "It was nice meeting you"

"I would appreciate you don't call me sir" he whispered to her as he stood up to leave "Mr handsome is better " he added with a wink

Kiara's cheek pushed as the whisper sent a cold chill down her body. Lucas grinned as if he had gotten what he wanted, then headed to his car
