I knew it would be hard to go through my past again, but I hadn’t known how hard, really. I had put all of this away after I moved in with Connor. I had promised myself I would never look at it again. I only took it to make sure my parents didn’t burn it.
But it truly hurt travelling through the past again, seeing all my friends, seeing all those smiles and good times. I had not just lost Tobias when I chose Connor. I lost all my friends. I never heard from them again, and I didn’t try to reach out.
I had made my choice, and I needed to live with it. I had no idea where they were now. After my father had burned down Tobias’s restaurant and had his beta and third-in-command beat the crap out of him, it had scared me so much that I had just cut him off. I had cut everyone off.
