 This was suppose to be a relaxing weekend with my girls, to wind down from the hectic work week and gossip about all matter of things. A getaway to escape the boringness that was our lives.  But our weekend was interrupted by myths and legends and we were thrown into a world we never knew existed.  A  world full of monsters and mayhem, magic and demons.       How the four of us were thrown into a prophecy that either meant we find our true soul mates or become the harbingers of the end of days. No pressure or anything.  And crazy as it sounds there are plenty of doomsdayers that want to bring the end of days and enslave human kind. Call them cuckoo but they have demons at their disposal  and they are relentless.      The doomsdayers are led by a demon who is actually trying to rule the world. How unoriginal and a bit  cocky don't you think? But unfortunately he does have the means to accomplish this if things go his way.  What does he need to rule the world? Four clueless women who didn't know magic was real.      Kora, Maia, Damara and me, Theia, are bound to one another through love and friendship but most of all through our magic.. Our magic is why we are being hunted by Bane, a really disturbed individual who believes that we are his destined wives and that through our blood  he will rule for all time. He will use our combined power to enslave everyone as we worship him forever. As you can imagine, we were not to keen on the idea of a hostile takeover with Evil's son. But to avoid Bane from bonding with our souls, we need to find our true soul mates and bond with them instead.  Talk about a needle in a haystack. But fate and destiny will not be denied.        A true mate bond can give its mates happiness and love and most supes wait until they find the one. But their are others who are impatient and are tired of living out eternity alone and they want love with another even though they are not soul mates. These are pair bonds.      There are many alphas who do not want to wait to find their true mate because the power one receives when another soul bonds with yours is an allure that many can't pass up. Souls are the essence of ourselves. It is a powerful sentient energy that grows with each rebirth becoming more powerful as experiences and emotions are developed. So to combine two souls together fuses  experiences and emotions from both souls to merge into a strengthened one.      Your power stems from your soul and that determines what type of person you will become. A strong soul will have a certain charisma and inner strength that others will be attracted to whereas a weak soul will cower in the face of power and danger. And if a strong soul was pair bonded with a weak soul it will eventually have complete control and utter obedience over the weaker soul, regardless of what gender the body is. That is what Bane wants to do with us. Sounds delightful.       But one is not enough he wants to try to bond with all four of us. To be bonded means that no other can destroy that bond, and you can only bond yourself once. But Bane seems pretty confident that he will be able to accomplish this. Can you imagine the utter power and destruction he will have if he bonded himself to not just one but four magical souls? He will literally be invincible. He will herald the end of days and life as we know it will end.  How do you ask?  That is the million dollar question.  What we do know is that Bane will stop at nothing and sacrifice anyone to make sure he wins. But for every villain there is a hero. Or four.        So enters an Alpha King who just happens to be able to transform into a wolf. He's moody and territorial and like all beasts he allows his instinct to guide him. He is King because he is the strongest of his kind, and might rules his world. Aric...oh I'm sorry. King Aric is pure strength and has never lost a challenge. Which in my opinion has given him the biggest God complex.  Whatever.  He's a colossal ass who just doesn't understand the word no.      Enters another ass who believes he's God's gift to women. He can be downright childish and immature and not to mention a narcissistic play boy. But he's a powerful mage who actually can put his money where his mouth is. So don't let your guard down because this mage not only has  an over abundance of magic but is a ruthless killer as well.  Liam is but one of his many names, names that he changes out like underwear. Because everyone knows that there is power in a name and  no mage worth his salt will ever allow another any control, however slight, over him.      But the absolute worse is this fanged psycho who rules his kingdom with an iron fist. An absolute tyrant.  A tyrant,  who by the way  doesn't understand that I am not and will not ever belong to him. Try convincing him of that though. Ethan, who I barely know, is already obsessive and refuses to listen to reason. Citing , "true mate bonds once found are rarely denied so we might as well get it over with.." Oh, the nerve. Did I forget to tell you that he is my true mate. Talk about getting the short end of the straw.       Alright, well  I saved the best for last. He is  an exiled prince who refuses to take the throne. His father led his brethren to the bloodiest war in their history. A war that lasted centuries with no end in sight. He was his father's most ruthless general and it was his father's will that he carried out. Alastair was given an order, from his father, that went against everything in him. A Fey of such honor couldn't bear to have such a dark stain upon his soul so he cursed his father. He cursed him to watch his line slowly wither and die. And after all these centuries later the king has only one remaining child left. Yup, you guessed it, Alastair.  He takes great pleasure and pride in telling his father that he will never take the thrown or ever sire children. Dysfunctional much?  Although he denied his royal right, his men vowed to serve no other. So they followed him through exile to protect and serve him.  They are known as the Death Dealers. They are a formidable, tight knit group that can serve a can of whup ass on anyone and they are utterly devoted to Alastair.  That kind of loyalty can not be bought or bartered with, that kind of loyalty is only won through love and respect. How dreamy can one get?  What is it with powerful men that all they see is their own self-importance and that their will is always right? Well these alphas have something coming to them if they think we will roll over and let them run us.        My sisters and I may not share any blood but we are sisters in our souls. Each of us carries an elemental magic within us and combined we are truly frightening.  We were all orphans and we all grew up alone without any family. Until we found each other. So we will literally ride or die for one another, and no one wants to see Maia riled up. Trust me. She is a witch with a capital "B".  Maia carries the element fire within her and it shows with each breath she takes. She is fierce when threatened but she can also be amazingly generous and loving. She has deep red curls that match her disposition and creamy ivory skin to die for. What I wouldn't do to get her complexion.  Maia definitely has her hands full when it comes to Aric.      Kora, the shyest among us, has a cascade of bouncy, blonde curls with eyes the color of deep sapphires. She's bright and carefree and everyone that has ever met her is drawn to her. Which even Liam, our resident playboy, couldn't resist her.  She effectively  put Liam in his place and its fun to watch her wind him around her little finger. Her soul is drenched in water and it was magical to watch it sooth Liam's fiery soul.      Damara, is the oldest and she also had the roughest childhood.  She tends to keep to herself but will protect us with a ferociousness that is unmatched. She carries an inner strength that will not break even when she is broken down. Mara has hair the color of a night sky with a slight bluish tinge that gives her an air of mystical properties. Hauntingly beautiful is the only way to describe her. She is destined to become a great queen, if only a certain exiled prince would wake up. Alastair doesn't have a chance against her.  She is loyal to those she loves and would risk death itself for them.  He will be helpless against her, and she will become the very Air that he breaths.       So I saved the best for last, me, Theia. I'm pretty average, with brown hair and brown eyes.  I have always loved the outdoors and with the element Earth within me it's no wonder I did.  The earth replenishes me and gives me strength, and it's this strength I need to fight him. Ethan. He is the most arrogant, possessive and irritating man I have ever met. I loath his orders and his highhandedness where it concerns me. But he is sexy as sin, and I can hardly resist him. Only don't let him find that out because he will somehow use it against me. I'm totally screwed.
