Ye Sha had no choice but to endure, telling himself this was a test of willpower.
Once dinner was finally ordered, Liu Yuning stood gracefully and stretched lazily. Her curvaceous figure was once again on full display—those prominent peaks and that perky peach-shaped curve were enough to make Ye Sha’s nose bleed.
"I’ve lost!"Ye Sha lamented internally. "It’s not that my willpower isn’t strong; it’s that this enchantress is simply too stunning!"
Seeing Ye Sha’s expression, Liu Yuning burst out laughing. She was truly a devilish vixen who took pleasure in teasing him.
As they waited for the food to arrive, Ye Sha turned on the TV and found a lighthearted comedy. He was relaxed, but mainly he hoped it would help Liu Yuning shake off any lingering fear.
"Silly man, why are you so sweet?"Liu Yuning felt a wave of warmth in her heart. This rugged and strong young man had such a gentle side. His small, thoughtful gestures showed how much he cared for others.
"This is hilarious! Hahaha!"Ye Sha was fully immersed in the movie, clutching his stomach in laughter. Being an easy-going person, he had a low threshold for humor.
"i***t," Liu Yuning said with a sultry smile, playfully scolding him before settling in to watch the movie herself.
When dinner arrived, Ye Sha looked at the lavish spread on the table in surprise. The dishes, though not overly large, were diverse and exquisitely prepared—clearly a feast for two.
"Boss, you work out too. Why’d you order such a heavy meal? Isn’t it all wasted effort after eating like this?"
"Still thinking about working out? After surviving something like that, don’t we deserve to celebrate?"Liu Yuning flicked Ye Sha’s forehead with her delicate finger, persuading him.
"Alright, let’s call it a cheat meal."For Ye Sha, fitness had become second nature, so it was only natural for him to consider it.
Pop!The cork was pulled from the wine bottle, releasing a rich aroma into the air. Liu Yuning set out two elegant wine glasses, pouring the deep red liquid and releasing a swirl of fragrant bubbles.
"To celebrating our survival!"Liu Yuning raised her glass and gave Ye Sha a knowing look, prompting him to join her.
"To life!"Ye Sha lifted his glass and clinked it against hers.
They shared a smile before taking a sip and enjoying the feast together.
After the meal, they watched another movie. Both were feeling completely relaxed.
"Ye Sha, you’re kind of handsome," Liu Yuning murmured, her cheeks flushed. It was clear she’d had a little too much to drink. She pouted like a girl, waving her hands around as if trying to grab hold of Ye Sha.
"I guess I’m alright. Thanks for the compliment, boss!"Ye Sha wasn’t overly modest. His sharp features and natural charisma gave him a youthful vibrancy and fearless energy that left an impression.
"I really like you!"Suddenly, Liu Yuning lunged toward him, her soft body pressing against his chest. The pressure from her curves was enough to make anyone’s blood race. It was clear she was using her drunken state to confess her feelings.
"Uh, I like myself too," Ye Sha quipped.
He wasn’t uninterested—of course he liked beautiful women, and Liu Yuning was a beauty among beauties. She was proactive, and their relationship was already strong. But Ye Sha hesitated.
He wasn’t entirely human.
Ye Sha didn’t know if his werewolf-like body would harm an ordinary person. He couldn’t, and wouldn’t, take her feelings lightly.
"Ye Sha, are you even a man?"Liu Yuning grew frustrated. She had taken the initiative, yet he was still cracking jokes. "Am I not attractive? Am I not wealthy? I’m 27 years old and this is the first time I’ve ever felt this way about a man! Just tell me—do you want me or not?"
"Yes!"Ye Sha couldn’t deny her. A beauty like her asking so directly—it would be strange not to agree. But then he added, "But not completely…"
"What?"Liu Yuning was about to smile, but Ye Sha’s words instantly dampened her mood.
"Boss, I like you too," Ye Sha said earnestly, meeting her gaze. "But I have a secret—one I can’t tell you right now. And because of that secret, I can’t be with you. It could hurt you."
Liu Yuning stared at him in surprise. She hadn’t expected this to be the reason he was holding back.
"Once I figure everything out, we can be together completely. Will you wait for me?"Ye Sha’s tone was serious. He didn’t care about their age or social status difference; what mattered was their mutual feelings.
"Does this secret stop you from hugging me?" Liu Yuning raised an eyebrow and asked.
"I... I guess not," Ye Sha replied hesitantly, his earlier solemn demeanor crumbling.
"Then what are you waiting for?"Liu Yuning opened her arms, waiting for his embrace.
Ye Sha had no choice but to wrap his arms around the fiery beauty, her intoxicating softness sending a rush of heat to his head.
"I’ve waited so many years to meet you. What’s a little more waiting?"Liu Yuning murmured, clearly agreeing to Ye Sha’s proposal.
"Thank you, boss."
"I’m still a bit scared. Let’s sleep together tonight, okay?"Curling up in Ye Sha’s arms, the once fiery and bold Liu Yuning now seemed as docile as a kitten.
"If it’s just sleeping, then sure."Ye Sha nodded in agreement, knowing the night ahead might be a challenge.
