Haunted by the Little Ghost
(This story is set in a parallel world, with relevant details adjusted accordingly. Do not associate it with reality.)
Chaos! Absolute chaos!
The world is in turmoil, and the eerie has descended upon humanity!
The news broadcast frantically reports strange and horrifying events, with the anchor speaking rapidly as footage switches between alarming scenes.
An eerie old man walks through the city, and those who meet his gaze bleed from their orifices and die instantly.
A ghostly, eyeless child roams, searching for its missing eyes, and those who see it lose their sight immediately.
Blood-red hounds hunt humans for food.
A butcher slaughters prey with relentless precision.
A gorgeous female corpse lures men to their doom.
As the broadcast continues, the news anchor’s face grows grim. “Citizens, please remain vigilant. If you encounter anything strange, prioritize your safety and report it immediately.”
After carefully watching the broadcast, Ye Sha lets out a heavy sigh and slumps into his sofa.
With chaos descending and the eerie on the rise, how could an ordinary man like him hope to survive?
A fitness coach with decent business, Ye Sha is physically strong and has mastered impressive martial arts techniques. But against supernatural horrors, these skills are utterly useless. In the face of demons and ghosts, even the fittest of humans are mere insects. His well-built body, he muses, is probably nothing more than a premium meal to these entities.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
A strange noise suddenly emanates from the kitchen. Ye Sha tenses, his muscles tightening as he slowly gets up, moving cautiously to avoid provoking whatever might be lurking there.
The noise grows louder, as if something is trying to crawl up from the depths of the pipes.
Without hesitation, Ye Sha bolts for the door!
"Only a fool would face that thing! Running is the only option!"
But the entity in the kitchen seems to anticipate his intentions. With a deafening crash, it breaks through the door and charges down the staircase in pursuit!
Living on the sixth floor, Ye Sha’s strong body is a blessing, but descending stairs too quickly risks disaster.
A piercing shriek echoes from behind, its sharpness stabbing into Ye Sha’s ears. He resists the pain and runs frantically, not daring to look back.
"Shhhhkk!"
The sound of claws tearing into flesh reaches his ears before the searing pain in his back does. Losing his balance, Ye Sha tumbles down the stairs, arms shielding his head as he crashes to the landing.
Though battered and bleeding, Ye Sha scrambles to his feet, staggering downward. The pain is excruciating—his back burns with a bloody wound, and his limbs swell from hitting the hard stairs.
But he cannot stop. To stop is to die.
For three months, these eerie creatures have haunted the public. No one has ever survived their pursuit!
Running might not save him, but not running guarantees death.
“AHHHHH!”
The shrieking behind him grows louder as the eerie thing, enraged by Ye Sha’s defiance, picks up speed.
"So terrifying!"
The image of the creature flashes in Ye Sha’s mind as he runs. It resembles a shriveled child with wrinkled, horrifying skin, twisted features, and glaring ghostly eyes. Its gaping mouth is full of jagged teeth, and its sharp claws seem perfect for hunting humans.
The exit looms ahead, and hope flickers in Ye Sha’s heart. But as he steps forward, dizziness overwhelms him. The claws that tore his back must have been venomous.
With his last ounce of strength, Ye Sha pushes open the exit door. He collapses outside as the creature pounces on him, its gaping mouth lunging toward his neck.
Though faint from poison, Ye Sha’s survival instincts kick in. He shields his throat with his arm, and the creature’s teeth sink deep into his flesh, blood spraying everywhere.
“ARGHHHHHH!”
Ye Sha screams in agony as his body weakens, unable to push the creature away.
“So, this is how I die…”
As death looms, only bitter regret fills Ye Sha’s mind.
The creature savors a chunk of his arm, preparing to deliver the final bite.
Suddenly, the thick clouds shrouding the sky disperse, revealing a brilliant full moon. A beam of moonlight pierces through the glass, bathing Ye Sha in its glow.
Even the creature senses something amiss and looks up at the sky.
In an instant, a hairy, clawed hand grabs its neck, lifting it into the air.
The creature struggles in terror, but its claws cannot harm the powerful grip holding it.
The dying Ye Sha has vanished. In his place stands a terrifying, monstrous werewolf. Its glossy black fur glistens under the moonlight, its towering frame radiating strength. With bulging muscles and gleaming green eyes filled with malice, it exudes raw savagery.
"My turn now, you cursed little ghost."
The werewolf’s deep, raspy voice growls like a predator in the wild.
Its massive claw tightens around the creature’s throat, forcing it to taste the despair of impending death.
With a final squeeze, the little ghost’s struggles cease, its head lolling lifelessly to the side.
